Ontario-based graphic designer Andrew Knapp and his beautiful border collie Momo, who we wrote about last year, are back with more cute and awesome find-the-dog photos. Momo’s not quite like other dogs – when he runs to fetch a stick, rather than returning it, he hides. So Knapp started taking pictures in which the viewer was supposed to find Momo. At first, they were just for his nieces and nephews, but when he posted the photos online, the reception was excellent.
Meet Otchan. He’s a pig farmer who shares a beautiful relationship with his cuddly pink creatures – all 1,200 of them. Kagawa-based photographer Toshiteru Yamaji spent ten years documenting Otchan’s bond with his animals. The caring and loving farmer serenades his pigs with a guitar, takes them to the beach, cuddles with them, or simply spends time with them – a far cry from the often abusive and inhumane conditions experienced by pigs in U.S. mass-production farms.
Talented nature photographer Vyacheslav Mishchenko has an eye for taking photos that bring small natural worlds up to our level, showing us how the world might look if we could see it through the eyes of an ant, snail or lizard. His photography feature snails enthralled by drops of water or kissing and insects stretching across gaps of water in setups that are nothing less than picture-perfect.
Grace Chon, an LA-based animal, lifestyle and celebrity photographer, had the brilliant idea of using her expertise to create an adorable series of images of her 10-month-old son Jasper and Zoey, their 7-tear-old rescue dog. In these cute photos, little Jasper and his sidekick Zoey pose for mom’s photos in matching hats and outfits. The only thing potentially more heartwarming than the photos themselves is the journey that Zoey had to take to be in those photos.
U.K.-based photographer Will Burrard-Lucas became a convenient makeshift lookout post for meerkats during his photo shoot in the Makgadikgadi region of Botswana, Africa. He spent six days capturing the life of this charming meerkat family when the babies started to get more and more curious and fascinated with Burrard-Lucas’s camera.

Perhaps the only thing cuter than an adorable household pet is an adorable household pet curled up for a nap with their favorite plushie toy. There’s nothing like an animal cuddling with the toys we loved in our early childhoods to get the cuteness juices flowing. As cute as it is, however, the actual reasons for which animals cuddle up with or play with stuffed animals can vary greatly.
In one of the most bizarre reprisals we’ve recently seen, Bloodblitz, the comedian behind the Rob’s Rants channel on Youtube, has created a short video showing what Bane, the infamous Batman villain, might have looked like if he was a cat. Sporting the iconic mask and shearling coat, Banecat seeks to eliminate his owner’s control over him by terrible acts of vengeance – of the sort that regular cats seem to engage in every day anyway.
It’s hard to say what it is about animals that we love the most – their cute or beautiful looks, their natural innocence or the emotional reactions that they elicit from us. But whatever the case may be, one of these 30 happy animal facts is bound to bring a smile to your face. A lot of these facts also underscore the similarities and emotional connections that people can share with animals, which raises a broader and more interesting questions – what is it about animals that we love so much?
Daniel Stoupin, a PhD student at the University of Queensland in Australia, has created a stunning must-see video that will open your eyes to just how little most of us understand about the many different forms of life we have here on Earth. His “Slow Life” video combines thousands of close-up photographs of beautiful corals to illustrate their daily movements in a way that makes them seem not of this earth.
Musicians and fans of the metal music community often get a bad rap because of their dark, gruff and tattooed looks.
