If you're a (proud) dog owner, you've probably seen your dog doing a weird thing or two. Whether it's assuming a strange pose, a derpy facial expression, or quirky behavior that other owners would deem suspicious, it probably just makes you love your doggo even more, right?

Well, there's a community online dedicated to owners sharing photos like these. It's the What's Wrong With Your Dog? subreddit, where people post their dogs doing the weirdest stuff. But don't worry – there's nothing really wrong with these doggos, except maybe an occasional case of the sillies.

Aww, that is just the sweetest thing!

Older generations might say that we're going a bit overboard with how much we care about our pets. But if you ask me, I'd say it's just the right amount. And if money is any indication of love, then the amount of money we spend on our beloved pooches and felines would say that we adore them to no end.

One of the techs at my vet has a Czechoslovakian Wolfdog like this, and my goodness, what a gorgeous doggo! They're not really "wolf-like" in appearance if you've seen an actual wolf IRL (CSVs are normal dog sized, wolves are gigantic and have much heavier, stockier muzzles and smaller, rounder ears) but they are still gorgeous dogs. I've already got one of each of my "dream breeds" (GSD and Belgian Malinois) but I think I'll have to add CSVs to my list for the future! ;)

Czechoslovakian Wolfdog! They are lovely dogs. Wolves were used to create the original breeding stock, but there's been so much outcrossing now that they are no longer actually considered "wolf hybrids" and are just a domestic dog breed. They're still a bit rare in most countries.

Stilgar does this whenever we take him anywhere, except he suddenly becomes dramatically more disabled as we walk towards the car and he realizes we're leaving. Suddenly he stops being able to walk... the back legs get lower and lower... eventually he can't hold his body up any more and he just lays down on the ground XD Of course, if you turn around and walk the other way, away from the car, he pops up with vigor and perfect energy and is totally fine XD He'll do this at the end of walks too - I've got a great photo of him after he "collapsed" on the front walkway once he realized we were heading towards the gate that led into the back yard. He knew exactly what was going on - just look at that side-eye that I'm getting XD stilly2-67...adb30b.jpg stilly2-67f0e17adb30b.jpg

Have you ever wondered why we find dogs so cute and irresistible? Scientists speculate that big-eyed puppies and doggos with their floppy ears awaken our innate desire to be caregivers. It's similar to babies: when we see a wee human, we often can't resist saying "Aww". The "infant schema", or facial features that characterize a cute infant face, goes beyond species, thus making us drawn to dogs.

We'd like to believe that our dogs can into all kinds of shenanigans to amuse us. But pet behaviorists say that's unlikely. In a previous interview for Bored PandaKaren Wild CCAB said that people often misinterpret their dogs' behavior. "They say the reason for [an emotion in a dog's face] could be something only humans would do or think. It is very coming for people to get it wrong," she noted.

My alarm clock is of the feline variety. She starts off trying to push me out of bed which of course doesn't work - I'm way bigger than she is. Then she tries running up and down on top of me. If that doesn't work, she gets nose to nose with me so when I open my eyes, her eyes are right there in front of me.

For example, when our dog gets "the zoomies," we tend to think that they're super excited. However, Karen explained that it's sometimes the opposite. "This can sometimes be a sign of overwhelm rather than happy excitement," she pointed out. "Body signals in dogs can be due to negative emotions as well as positive ones, and often a mixture of these."

I used to have a rubber dog, Pebbles. She got hit by a car (in front of the house, at a low speed) and she BOUNCED off the car, escaping with just a light road rash on her pink belly. I nearly had a heart attack, vet was amazed. When we moved out to Colorado, we lived in a bi-level house. A deck was off the kitchen, with a 15 foot drop. I throw Pebbles' toy off the deck and into the yard - after all, we've introduced her to the house and deck, she should know how it works, right? Nope. She leaps right off the deck edge and, again, I'm screaming like a banshee, thinking she's dead. Instead, she's chasing the toy after having splooted onto her belly on the ground before springing up and running off. Dog was made of rubber and springs, I swear. Miss her.

At least HE leaves your spot to return to. My 90 pound Olde English Bulldogge, no matter how quiet I am OR reassuring that I'll be right back, immediately moves into the warm spot my body created. Moving her is like moving a big blob of solid, snoring mass. inevitably I return to find myself having to squish myself into to remaining 8-10 inches of width, around her.

Can confirm that GSDs are especially adept at acting like cats when it comes to furniture, for some reason! My heart-dog was a 90lb GSD, and she could scale the cat tree. She loved sitting on the backs of couches and armchairs. XD She also considered herself a lap dog and would manage to somehow fit her entire body into my lap.

We don't get snow here (Southern California) but my dog Stilgar is a German Shepherd/Kuchi Dog mix - the Kuchi Dog is a livestock guardian breed from Afghanistan that were bred for the harsh winters there. Stilly's fur is double-coated and incredibly thick. He LOVES it when it is cold and misty/damp. Next winter, if I can grow the bal!s I'll need to drive the winding roads, I'll take him on a 2-hour road trip up to the mountains and see if he likes snow! :D

She's definitely a mutt. I think there's some German Shepherd in there. There's some similarities to my dog Stilgar, and he is half German Shepherd. I'd guess there's probably a good bit of Lab and/or Pittie in there as well, just guessing from some of the facial structure.

My tuxedo boy, Preacher, gets plugged/impacted ánal glands. I learned how to, ahem, clear them out on a semi-regular basis so that he doesn't have to go to the vet to have it done (he hates going to the vet.) The downside is that I have to squeeze my cat's bútthole area basically every other week. I know far too well what cat bútthole feels like. I wish I did not. Preacher gets big mad at me when I do it (as I am sure it is not pleasant to have your literal bútthole squeezed) but I'm like "my dude, I'm the one TOUCHING your bútthole, do you think I'm ENJOYING this?" The answer is no. No, I am not.
