I heard it was once considered a gender role, though I am making assumptions based on popular media. My own experience, not so much a gender role at all. I cook and clean as much, if not more, than my partner does. Of course, she DOES have a bigger paycheck, so I don't feel bothered by this.
They should teach it in schools along with home economics. The number of young people, who dosent know what interrest rates are, is scary
I learned to cook a bit in home economics class in junior high. But, to be fair, I didn't really learn cooking until my older brother taught me. Same with sewing and ironing.

When I went to school (a very long time ago) the boys was not allowed to learn cooking and the girls were not allowed to learn crafting. I hope schools are better nowadays.

I work. My wife cooks and cleans and takes care of our son. Except in the weekends, then we do it together. Holding up such a sign makes you look like a woke simp.
