NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna tragically passed away in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. As the news about their death spread, people all over the world reacted with devastation. It cast a shadow on the 2020 Grammy Awards where several celebrities paid their respects to the basketball player. The ceremony itself began with a moment of silence initiated by the host, Alicia Keys. “We never imagined in a million years we’d have to start the show like this, so we wanted to do something that could describe a tiny bit how we all feel right now,” she said. Other celebrities such as John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Ellen DeGeneres, Jimmy Fallon, and even President Barack Obama took to social media to pay their tributes to the late basketball star. Here are their words of love and comfort:

and the people will tell the legend...they will say...,if you look up toward the Heavens...when the time is right...you will see seven OTHER ANGELS taking Kobe and his daughter to the mansion in the sky...my most heartfelt and ever lasting condolences to ALL families
BTW, there were 8 other people who died....... I'm sure they did something in life for others....... sad that they are being over looked...... other-8-5e...035f7c.jpg
They’re not being overlooked, people care about the eight other lives that were lost.
Load More Replies...There are a lot of people on here with opinions about his past that weren't there and really don't have all the details. You don't have to like the guy but at least show some respect for his family, they lost a loved one and that is NEVER easy.
The comments on here are sickening. The man made a mistake and has spent years paying for it and in that time made the world a much, much better place. Have some compassion. RIP to Kobe, an absolute legend.
I so agree Ben, people on here are really delusional and weird af.
Load More Replies...I think everyone is shocked because it is hard to believe that someone with so much money and power and also young could die so suddenly. Celebrities especially feel it even more, especially when many think they are above us peasants.
I am so disgusted by how many people on here are defending him and saying it was just a "mistake". people are so messed in the head
Load More Replies...KOBE WAS NOT A RAPIST. THERE GIRL(MANY LIKE HER) WAS A WHORE. HE DIDN'T FORCE HER. SHE JUST WENT AFTER HER TARGET AND HE WOULDN'T PAY.
F*ck that guy, who cares how good he was at basketball he freaking raped a 19 year old girl! Got what was deserved! As for his daughter and the others in that helicopter I do feel very sorry for.
also, not many others seem to care about the other victims! f**k them, i guess, right???
Load More Replies...Sorry but I have NOOOOO sympathy for any women who takes a cash payment if that is what happened instead of sending someone to prison for rap. EVERYONE CAN BE A KEY BOARD GANGSTA BUT I BET THOSE THROWING STONES HAVE DONE S**T THAT THEY SHOULD BE LOCKED UP AND THE KEY THROWN AWAY FOR.
EXACTLY. BUT THEY FOUND HER TO HAVE SEMEN OF ANOTHER MAN AND SHE DIDN'T WANT TO TESTIFY TO DEFEND HERSELF.
Load More Replies...He was a rapist. Why are people mourning him? The ones people should be outraged over are his young daughter and those other people dying in that helicopter.
