50 Fun And Surprisingly Insightful Maps Shared By ‘Amazing Maps’
InterviewThe real world is very complex, unlike what you see in movies and on TV. Our planet, with its varied cultures and societies, is not unlike a giant, cosmic onion. There are lots of different layers of nuance to unravel. Sometimes, all it takes is one good map or chart to make you see things from a fresh new perspective and think outside the box.
That’s where the ‘Amazing Maps’ Instagram account comes in. It crunches data and then creates aesthetic world maps to educate and entertain social media users around the globe. Today, we’re featuring some of the curators’ top maps to show you things from a different point of view. Keep scrolling to learn something new.
Meanwhile, Bored Panda reached out to Georgi Pamyatnih, the founder of 'Amazing Maps,' with a few questions about his awesome project. Check out what he told us below.

They are in the us actually they are in invasive species in Florida and possibly other southern states but definitely in Florida.
Also in Europe, at least in Germany. And they can do great damage to infrastructure that should prevent flooding.
Load More Replies...Still so glad I finally got the chance to see, feed, and pet capybara irl. And glad the place i got to do it at has a really nice large habitat with everything they need.
Excuse me, but haven't capybaras been introduced into the wild in Louisiana?
We were curious how the idea for 'Amazing Maps' came about in the first place. Georgi, the founder of the project, was kind enough to shed some light on this.
"In reality, I started the account primarily for fun, as a joke, inspired by other similar accounts on Instagram," he told Bored Panda in an email that this was "nothing special" at the time.
However, now, he's been focused on running 'Amazing Maps' for 5 years, an entire quarter of his life!
"What keeps me passionate [about map-making] is the fact that I see people actively engage with my content, the fact that I know I'm contributing to education and improving people's knowledge. I don't get paid anything for this hobby," he said.
While I'm sure there's bound to be somone who's gonna make a "now do one about the US" comment, I think it's interesting to see a perspective of what countries in Europe read.
with which definition of book ? including ebooks & comics ? consistant choice for all countries ?
Unfortunately, yes. I've seen this in several polls and statistics. It's related to many factors, not just t the price of books. As a high school kid said once in an interview, "I spend all my free time working in the field or taking cafe of animals. I'm too tired to do anything else."
Load More Replies...Interesting how well this correlates with the map about people who read books
RIP Linda Smith. A treasure taken from us too soon.
Load More Replies...France kinda blows your theory. So do Germany and Switzerland. Even the UK (unless you believe we eat nothing but fish'n'chips, but that would be a you problem)
Load More Replies..."In the future, I'm planning on creating more reels and content in the form of videos, because sometimes just a map/post is not enough to convey all the necessary information in an engaging way," he told Bored Panda about his plans for 'Amazing Maps.'
We also wanted to get Georgi's perspective about the fundamental things that make a map truly great. "A great map is one which is easy to understand, conveys information in the most efficient way possible. There is a very fine balance between generalising too much, which results in a well-looking map but doesn't convey enough information to form a reasonable opinion on the subject," he said.
"It is always difficult to ensure that the maps you create are accurate. Some of the rules I go by are to not use sources older than 5 years (or 10 depending on the subject), always list the source (Wikipedia isn't as bad as people think), make sure to use accessible and good-looking colors and never put too much information on a single map, because you risk the viewer missing it out or being overwhelmed."
Afghanistan? I wonder if that’s because women are killed for being rebellious or forced to have many children and die in childbirth? Scary.
Also, back when the Taliban first took over, about half the doctors were women. The Taliban wouldn't let women work, so no more female doctors. But they also wouldn't let women see male doctors most of the time. So, many more women died of treatable medical problems and also it caused some women to k**l themselves.
Load More Replies...At least we are on there instead of being left off altogether! :-) Alaska might be feeling a bit miffed...
Load More Replies...Afghanis don't deserve woman and children. It's like a shithole populated by millions of poor Trumps.
Sadly, I'm not surprised by Afghanistan, considering how horribly women are treated there. As for Qatar, I don't know much about their cultural practices, so I'm not necessarily shocked, but I wasn't exactly expecting it either.
Which country is the red one ? (Edit : Sorry it's 2.30 am and I apparently am too tired to read the words on my screen)
I believe it says “Qatar and Afghanistan”. Which seems ominous

Not surprised Ukraine's favourite is the flag at the moment.
Load More Replies...Wonder why the heart is blue in Estonia, and gray (or maybe white?) in Belarus.
I' am guessing here: 1. Estonian flag has colours blue, black and white on it and the national flower is cornflower. Hence i.e. national sports teams often were blue. 2. Belarus literally means White Russia.
Load More Replies...We need a flag depicting a man doing the moonwalk while on the moon that an astronaut can take to the moon.
Load More Replies...it seems like you're cheating if you had some robot or lunar rover plant the flag, instead of a human being.
Media literacy has always been essential for becoming an educated, well-rounded, skeptical, critically thinking individual. However, in this day and age, its importance is greater now than ever.
What with the vast pace of information and misinformation in your social media feeds, biased and fake news stories floating everywhere, and the veritable flood of artificial intelligence-powered slop. Knowing what sources (not) to trust is vital.
If you’re anything like the average person, then you’ve got tons of daily responsibilities, from work and school to chores and parenting. All of those must-do activities eat up a ton of time and energy.
So, you don’t necessarily have the space to double-check and cross-reference every single fact, claim, and opinion you see or hear on the news and on social media.
A much better approach is to figure out what sources are reliable and then to trust them to get things right (most of the time).
what is the history of that "red spot" deep in Russia ... old Viking settlement?
I can't tell from the map - I've got completely the wrong glasses on - and can't be buggered to change them (it's all a tad blurry!) but red hair likely originated in Central Asia. Central Asia is bordered by Russia to the north, and Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan to the south. The core of Central Asia consists of the five former Soviet republics: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. Maybe a small historic pocket???
Load More Replies...I always wanted red hair- might be part of why I wanted to be Irish. I have dyed it various shades of red over the years, but it's not the same. Just like marrying an Irish person wouldn't be the same as being Irish myself, no matter what my mum says :)
do they have dragons or witches? I've been to the movies lately
Is this because of the potential for violence due to historical bad feelings?
Historical bad feelings and current or recent wars/invasions.
Load More Replies...The fine print says, “Some countries do not recognize Kosovo” so that may be part of it; you can’t play a match against a country you don’t recognize as a nation
Load More Replies...Is it possible that an immigrant or ex pat population would account for that? That’s best reason I can think of for that to be the most studied language within Sweden.
Load More Replies...French is (or was?) the main language learned in schools in Australia (might now be Chinese) so I guess many might continue on Duolingo, but everyone I know who uses it picks whatever country they want to travel to most. I am learning (well, I've lapsed a bit) Irish Gaelic, and then I was watching a lot of Swedish tv series and it seemed pretty easy so started learning that too. Most people I know learn Spanish on it.
this seems unlikely. most of scandinavia has "spanish" as their duolingo choice?
As a South African, I would like to point out that we don’t speak French. We have 11 official languages, none of which is French.
hmmmmmmmmm canada being all French............. it's a little sus............. just saying
That is the language being studied in a particular paid program called duolingo, not the language primarily spoken in the region.
Load More Replies...Trustworthy outlets will back up their claims, provide links to the sources they used, and have proper editorial standards. They won’t ever present opinions as facts. And if they ever make a mistake (even the best journalists do from time to time), they’ll fix the mistake.
The best of the best will even mention that they’ve made a correction, so that they’re fully transparent. Furthermore, trustworthy sources will also disclose any conflicts of interest they might have.
I couldn't help thinking of "Am I the a*****e?" when I read "aitah" 😆
You might be right. The next time you're in Estonia and want to thank somebody, just say "Am I the a**h*le" and see how they respond.
Load More Replies...And knowing Irish, doesn't sound even remotely like it looks.

I like both types of British cuisine; fish AND chips. How can France and England be so different with their gastronomy?
I always think it’s funny the joke they make about British food - how they search the world for spices and refused to use any of them 🤣 best place to get Indian food though. I could fancy myself a Nandos.
Load More Replies...We have British friends who live in southern Italy. And yes the food there is amazing, they love it and we love it when we visit them. But when they visit us in the UK they also love all the different types of food from other countries we have access to. They really miss it in Italy!
I wonder what this would look like in Australia? There are people who make the most of how multicultural we are by eating ALL the foods the migrants bring, then there are the ones (mostly farmers) who only eat 'Australian' food (which is really British food), meat an three veg for example, and then there are all the people that eat bush tucker, which is the true Australian food. I do all those things, all food is good (well meat and three veg is boring, but I do love a good roast etc). It would be interesting to see how this would collate into 'most popular'.
Sad that their population has dwindled so much. I couldn't help laughing at the other parts of the map though ("Why did you even look here..." 😂)
Lions were historically present over a far greater range than this. Why else would so many European countries have lions on their flags etc. into ancient times?
Honestly lions have been brought into Europe by humans since the Roman times, mostly for entertainment purposes. There were lions historically in parts of Europe but that was Neolithic times IIRC. Europeans knew what lions are though, for the most part. Doesn’t Scotland have a unicorn as their national animal? Doesn’t mean there were unicorns there haha
Load More Replies...You should definitely be wary of believing anything said by a source that you’re unfamiliar with.
If a fact or claim sounds too good or too bad to be true, search for it elsewhere, and see what other sources corroborate the story.
If there’s only one or two unknown sources claiming something, then it’s a good rule of thumb to assume that they’re either wrong, have an agenda they’re pursuing, or a narrative they want to push.
My mum's favourite t-shirt says Peace, Salaam, Shalom. Wisely, she didn't wear it when she went to Israel in 2019 though...
On Duolingo, this doesn't mean it's the natives only but includes expats and immigrabts. Still strange, but reason could be research scientists learning an obscure (I live in NL, relax) language during long, dark, cold winter. PS look at the map with most popular language - Spanish doesn't make much more sense
Load More Replies...Second most studied language in the US is English ... that's troubling
I imagine it’s people who speak English as a second language.
Load More Replies...Take a look at the other news stories that the outlet and its journalists cover. Think about what their goals and biases might be, and how this is reflected in the headlines and photos they use, the angles they write about, and the facts they stress or omit.
‘Perfect’ neutrality and objectivity might be a pipe dream, but reliable news sources do their best to provide a nuanced, contextualized picture of events.
Real life is complex, messy, and much more gray than purely black-and-white.
Still feeling a bit nauseous from the sudden transportation. Temperature is better though...
Load More Replies...Compare the 'habitable' sections of Australia with the map of what is actually inhabited, that would be interesting. Especially since many people say we can't have more immigrants because there isn't enough room in the habitable spaces.
Same for the north part of the Finland, Sweden, Norway peninsula or what the frack Lapland is. Bottom line, people live there. You could survive really primitive style there, with some basic skills. And people have towns and s**t in the not habitable zone. Whole cultures have been born there
Load More Replies...Icelandic surnames use the suffixes "-son" for sons and "-dóttir" for daughters. EX: a man named Jón has a son named Ólafur, whose surname would be Jónsson. If Jón had a daughter named Eva, her surname would be Jónsdóttir
Load More Replies...Bavaria: Fathers surname and first name. In some areas of the Netherlands the women often keep their own surname, kids get the surname of the father. If married, all variations for a family name are possible.
that's highly old school... I know maybe one in my generation who has his fathers first name as middle name. If your parents didn't marry or your mother did not take the fathers name it's unlikely the child will have the fathers last name.
Load More Replies...I've read it's becoming more usual to use the mother's name as surname: Sigridsdottir or Kirstensson?
In Australia, it's a choose your own adventure :) Obviously, first name + surname used to be the main option. With such a multicultural population, there ae many who use what is common in their culture, but there are also a lot of people who are choosing mother's surname, combining mother's and father's surnames and some even making up a whole new surname.

Load More Replies...Iceland: Embla - isn't that the first human woman in Norse mythology? Three gods, sons of the giants, found two tree trunks, decided to make them into humans (you know, like you do). It's Adam and Eve, only way more epic because, come on, Norse mythology! ;)
Versions of my first name are popular all over the world, and it has only dropped out of the top ten girls names in Australia a couple of times in the last 50 years. Some people hate having a common name but I'm proud of mine. My dad chose it, my mum wanted a similar name, but as she chose my older brother's name, he got final say. I'm quite happy about that, even though the meaning of the other name is closer to my personality than the meaning of my name.
So many nice names on this list. I don't have kids, but if I did, I would have a harder time naming a a girl, because I like so many names!

Load More Replies...Repetition, while great for building healthy habits and learning new things, is also one of your biggest foes if your goal is to uncover the truth. The reality is that human beings are more susceptible to believing that a claim is right the more it’s repeated.
This is known as the illusory truth effect. In a nutshell, the more exposed you are to a piece of info, the more you believe it. Even if those ‘facts’ go against what you’ve learned previously.

Load More Replies...Not true (or out of date), statistics just came out in France this week saying that there are more deaths than births for the first time since 1945 (IIRC)
As this map shows the birth/death ratio of 2020, it is now likely out of date. So thanks for the update Melissa 😃

Load More Replies...According to Investopedia, the fact that people are more inclined to see repeatedly encountered ideas as valid contributes to the spread of misinformation on social media.
“Faced with this informational overload, we don’t have the mental capacity to process everything in depth. Instead, we rely on a variety of cognitive shortcuts, known as heuristics, to simplify our decision-making process. One of the ways that our brains compensate for our limited cognitive resources is by processing things on a simple, essentially automated level whenever possible.”
Nah, you're just bolstering statistics to compensate for people like me...

The fact is, even if you’re super analytical and highly educated, you can still fall prey to the illusory truth effect, Psychology Today notes. However, you can make others more immune to constantly repeated false claims and counter lies by:
- Using the so-called ‘truth sandwich,’ where you mention the truth, then the falsehood that’s spreading, and then describe the correct info
- Pre-bunking, where you ‘inoculate’ others by preemptively explaining the flawed argumentation techniques that misinformation uses to distort scientific facts
- Focusing on fact-checking, including homing in on accurate rather than entertaining headlines, and asking yourself how truthful statements are

Load More Replies...California, Oregon and Washington should just pull out. They have the resources, pacific ports and corridor from Mexico to Canada. No more need to have it all sucked away to the east.
And this is why if the current political situation in the United States forces red states to succeed from the union, we will be just fine with California.
Secede. And please don't. We have the fourth largest economy in the world, but we also have the most military bases by far. Washington isn't going to give them up. And this clown is just aching for any excuse to bomb the entire state back to the stone age.
Load More Replies...Guess people were complaining too much about the cold in Iceland. Dunno what NZ got out of that deal but yeah, cool
California wouldn't be in this spot when suddenly on its own. They'd have to import lots and lots and lots of things they currently get from or through their own country while having to finance everything on their own. Meanwhile some companies and people would leave to remain with the US (while certainly others might want to join).
Ranked by happiness and Average salary maps seem remarkably similar.
Can we just agree on one spot for NZ? I don't care where, but all this movement is making me dizzy and the plates keep falling off the shelves!
Definitely a strong current moving it around.
Load More Replies...Map is confusing. When , for example has India been at war with Germany? Answer - During WW1 and WW2. But using that criteria Pakistan and Burma should also be shown as having been at war with Germany, because they were all part of the British Empire at the time.
The Bulgaria-based ‘Amazing Maps’ account was created all the way back in May 2020, by Georgi Pamyatnih. It mainly focuses on sharing educational facts about the world, in map form. So far, over the years, the curators of the Instagram account have shared over 800 posts! The account has attracted a sizeable following of 154k followers.
The team running ‘Amazing Maps’ doesn’t just love maps, they actually make them, too. “Amazing Maps was born with the motivation to incorporate geographic and historical identity that you can proudly display on your wall,” the team writes on their website, noting that they hope to “put the world on your wall,” wherever you might be.

Load More Replies...Pff, by my experience you are much safer in cambodia than in thailand. No one ever stole from me or tried to rob me or even shouted at me. Can not say the same about thailand
Lmao honestly I had the exact opposite experience. Being in Thailand felt just as safe as being in Canada. But I was warned by so many people in Cambodia to avoid certain areas and keep myself safe and not go out at night. I was actually just watching that documentary of the white tourist who got thrown in a Cambodian prison for months because he got mad at an ATM and punched it (he was drunk). He was tortured and SA’d and treated like garbage. Thailand can be dangerous too but I’ve always heard Cambodia is worse. Even my government has more travel warnings against Cambodia than Thailand.
Load More Replies...I live in Thailand and I used to poll US/EU girls on how safe they felt being out alone at night in a touristy part of Bangkok (lower Sukhumvit Rd.) and, invariably, they answered that they felt safer in Bangkok than their own home cities. Thailand is 98% Buddhist. You would have to travel to some conflict area looking for trouble to find it.
wait - germans consider england and france "be careful"? is this some sort of joke? But "Botswana" in africa is completely safe? was this map prepared by AI?
Interesting that a few of the countries marked as "be careful" gave them a good kicking a couple of times last centuary.
Well, nowadays it has to with terroristic attacks that he happened in those countries (and sadly can happen again anytime).
Load More Replies...Hermann Rauschning is the author of the book called "Hitler Speaks" (called "The Voice of Destruction" in the US), where he claims to have had a lot of meetings and conversations with Hitler. Truth is that he likely didn't meet Hitler more than four times, and never for a private conversation. Today it is consensus that most, if not all, conversations in the book have been invented freely by Rauschning. It is highly likely that the information on this map about how the Nazis intended to split up the world is bogus as well.
Shsh we don't want them to know about New Zealand
Load More Replies...It's not 100% correct, but I've noticed it looks similar to the world order in "1984" - Eurasia, Oceania and East-Asia.
Not true, the Germany promised the Middle Eastern rulers to divide it up (one of whom took over Iraq for a period,, the Grand Mufti was promised an area, and Germany was going to let the Saud's keep there area), and Egypt's king was promised his area, and after Vichy was created, the Germans promised them all their areas, and Germany never really drew up plans for Latina America or giving them to the US. India was planned to be split by the Germans between the UK and chandra bose
how does this map look - california in particular - if the democrat candidate was someone other than Kamala Harris, famous california senator?

Canada technically didn't lose the War of 1812 since it was a tie. Though the Canadians did manage to burn down the White House during that war, a feat many Americans wouldn't blame them for doing again with the current occupant.

I live in Thailand and you would never guess that a lot of things here are 'technically' illegal but 'de facto' legal. There's a good chance your server in any restaurant will be a 'lady-boy' whom everyone treats as female and never thinks about it.
The vast majority of the countries that outlaw homosexuality or even punish it by death have one thing in common: their religion. Not to say that Christian or any other clerical fascists are better, but I’m outraged by how the horrible treatment of women, homosexuals, non-Muslims, etc. by Islamic regimes routinely gets overlooked and downplayed by much of Western politically correct media.
If that were strictly true, we wouldn't be seeing this map.

I can see it now ... Filipinos stepping off the airplane in Alaska ... shouting "What the heck"
Lmao I live in a very remote rural area in Canada. There’s a nearby village of about 200 people. A family from Manila just immigrated and chose that village to live in - they’re super sweet and friendly but everyone keeps asking them “why here, of all places? Did you just flip open an atlas and pick a random page?” 😂 the nearest town is a 45 min ferry ride, the nearest city is over 3 hours drive away, and even then it’s so tiny that it’s barely considered a city. Why here? Apparently they just wanted to be out in nature which I totally respect.

Strange? A lot most depressed countries are also high on happiest countries e.g. Finland, Netherlands etc
this seems wrong. the "happiest" countries are also the most depressed?
That depends a lot on how easy it is to get your depression confirmed by a doctor. Or how much people are encouraged to admit that they are depressed. This is like the "high r**e rate" in Scandinavia - no, they don't have more rapes, they just treat r**e victims better, so more come forward.

french people speak and understand english very well. they just pretend not to because they're trying to preserve their own language and culture.
Why in the world do you need to see a doctor 10 times in one year??? Obviously is you are chronically ill or elderly… but everyone else?
The national health systems are usually funded by taxes and a mandatory monthly contribution, so it is used. However, in the Netherlands you need to call first for an appiontment and the assistant will decide if it is serious enough for a visit. Usually you need to cope three days with paracetamol, if it is not better then, you may see the doctor. Plus the numbers above include routine issues like vaccinations, blood tests, general health checks (done by an assistant). Might include dentist, twice a year, general check is included in the insurance. Plus lots of people have burn-outs and depressions, so this might include other doctors as welm. In NL going to a fysiotherapist is quite normal, this is 6 to 10 treatments, often included in the insurance.

Why do they go to the doctor so often? Unless very elderly or chronically ill with something serious, "regular doctor visit" means a once yearly checkup to everyone i know.

One thing about gasoline in Iceland (besides the shocking cost) is if you are at half a tank to pull over and fill up! It is a l o n g way until the next station.
In that context, “gas” is short for the word “gasoline.” It does not refer to the state of matter called “gas”. If you think that’s what people are saying….theyre not the ones being stupid. You might as well be getting mad that people call the sound a dog makes a “bark” because “that’s not the outer layer of a tree” 😂 English contains many words with multiple meanings. Hope this helps!

Title is incorrect, these are the countries that Bhutan has specific formalised diplomatic relations with. They recognise the EU, USA, and UK but don't have unique diplomatic relations with them.
Load More Replies...Soo, Bhutan only recognises Serbia of the whole Balkan peninsula? Say what?
These are the locations that Bhutan has specific diplomatic relationships with. Bhutan recognises the entire EU, for example, along with the USA and UK, but doesn't have formalised diplomatic relationships/embassies with them (the UK, first country to recognise Bhutan, has diplomatic relations through India's Kolkata embassy).
I live in Thailand and it holds the record for the most drink-driving deaths. Wide-spread alcoholism is an acknowledged problem in the Kingdom.
Add d***s to that. I once had to actively stop a taxidriver halfway because he was so s****d he would constantly fall asleep 😨
Load More Replies...I'm guessing the UK percentage has diminished because of emigration rather than liquidation. Sometimes it's nice to be an island. (Unless the island in question is Jersey obviously)
It’s nice that the population is going down? That’s a bit racist.

Berlin lies in the North-East of Germany - It takes more money from the country than itself generates. A common half-serious joke is that we should stop giving them money and build a wall around it again for all the stupid stuff they spend it on

Don’t try and enter the USA without one. And even with one is somewhat uncertain these days. Entering the USA is a bit like trying to get into jail to visit at the moment.
And getting lower in Germany each year due to ongoing hypocrisy from parties that claim to fully support LGBQT citizens
No bases as such but the US does operate military aircraft from Christchurch NZ to supply McMurdo base in Antarctica, and NZ shares information with it's allies from Waihopi Station.
I suppose the information includes NZ's current location.🤔

Disgusting. The U.S. needs to leave all overseas territories and only maintain bases within its own borders.
We germans are quite happy about Ramstein and Büchel being here though, good for protection and the local economy
Load More Replies...I don't get that one. Taiwan is recognized by the member countries of the EU...?
Not officially. The PR China refuses diplomatic relations with all countries that officially recognize Taiwan (which the PR China claims to be just a breakaway region) as a sovereign country, so most countries have retracted their recognization of Taiwan. Inofficially a lot of countries treat Taiwan as a separate country though.

Former "President" Barack Obama, Nobel Peace Prize winner, bombed more countries during his tenure than any other non-wartime president. What an embarrassment to the US.
Why the quotes? Just because you don't like him doesn't make him not a president

Definitely not correct for Indonesia, it's GDP in 2025 is 17th highest in the World &, for example, higher than the GDP of many of the European Countries classified as 'Richer' on this map https://www.imf.org/external/datamapper/NGDPD@WEO/OEMDC/ADVEC/WEOWORLD/APQ. Also, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(nominal)

Strong disagree about Scotland and Ireland and France, lived in all 3 places lots of walking at night, never any hassle even in cities.
We are free to obey orders and do as we are told.

Same in the Netherlands. Ofcourse the ample availibility of affordable contraceptives and decent sexual education helps too.

Wow Hawaii has the most native Hawaiians out of all the states!
Kentucky and Tennessee claim to have all American ancestry. Also a one branch family tree.
So what kind of ethnicity is American? (Not native, that is a separate category.)
Other than native, it isn't one. I'm not sure what they had in mind.

The colored areas in this map are awfully similar to the coloring of the "Poverty in the US" map. Must be a coincidence, surely.
There are a lot of language minorities in Russia, many of which are endangered
I would hazard a guess on saying, its the most densely populated areas of Russia, by any race. Im Scottish and if you look at population density of my country its very much coastal areas and islands on the whole. Russia is rugged and not all of it is suitable for human survival.

I'm from Ireland, lived in the UK, and now line in the States. I assure you the States have a lower quality of like.
Great quality of life my blue a*s. One step away from bankruptcy with a health crisis, liable to be shot at work, at school, even at home, if your the wrong color you're liable to be yanked in by jackbooted IRS thugs, have to watch rights erode and the country being ruined by the Orange Baboon, have to deal daily with homophobic, misogynistic, racist bastards that elected TACO...
Depends how much money you have. In the US, a low paying job and you are treated as 3rd world with 0 rights.
From USA (lived all over) and also live in Spain. I ASSURE you they have it better
American, lived in several states , but lived in UK, Ireland and France and very definitely the quality of life is much higher in France, Ireland and Scotland. England no.
I would assume that just the free healthcare in the UK would elevate their quality of life above the US.
So all the red spots are contingent on you being filthy rich while living in the USA?
I think I'm confused. whites are the minority in California? meaning there's fewer whites than a combination of all the other categories?
The largest group is Hispanic/Latino at 39%. White comes second at 35%

Trying to get through this article with an intrusive ad popping up and covering the content every 10 seconds or so was extremely difficult. If you keep making your website basically unusable you’re going to lose visitors, BP. I can’t even use my adblocker because you make it even more unusable with an adblocker (constant pop ups begging me to turn it off - and the pop ups usually don’t have an X to close them so I can’t read the article at all)
And I’m not paying for premium. None of your content is original, I’m not paying for it. So sick of every website begging for money these days. No.
