Your making a lot of assumptions...you know absolutely nothing about what going on. It could just as easily be a non profit rescue that takes in abandoned animals and educates people about their species while continuing to keep the doors open at their rescue by attending these types of events. So quick to judgment you are.

Yeah, it's a desert fox. It's the smallest species of foxes and they sometimes are kept as pets. As far as I know they are really friendly and easily tamed.

No, that's not a good idea. Petting zoo is often run by shady people who keep the animals from sleeping so they can be petted. And they separate the babies from the parents while they are feeding, because they are cuter and more popular. The important thing for this kind of zoo is the money and not the welfare of the animals.

I know many petting zoo's that are attached to animal shelters and or animal sanctuaries to earn money. Please remember that not everything is an evil money making scheme.

This is animal abuse for the egoism and ignorance of human beings. But that's what our species is like - giving a f**k about everything as long as their needs and greed are satisfied. Whatever the cost.

To find out more about some behind the scenes details of wedding planning, we reached out to Kala Turpin Williams, owner and event planner at MOD Events Charleston in South Carolina. The strangest request a couple had for their wedding? “Elvis Impersonator, which in itself might not be as bizarre, but they cared more about this than anything else,” Kala answered.

“There really isn't anything specific that I think would set a couple's wedding apart, but my favorite thing is for a couple to add some things that are special to them or their culture. The best wedding isn't necessarily a page from Pinterest, but a special moment/idea that you get to share with the couple that means so much to them,” she added when asked about what could help a wedding stand out. “No matter what all of the beautiful and fun aspects are of the wedding, it really is important to spend a few moments with your partner and take it all in. Be sure to build that moment into your wedding day timeline.”

    It's actually kind of sad

    View more comments

Wedding planning is basically project management that two or more people have agreed to do in their free time. Basically, it’s work. Even worse, it’s unpaid. Plus everyone keeps telling you that you will never forget this moment, so subconsciously pressure starts to build and build and build. After all, you wouldn’t want a moment you will never forget to be less than perfect, right?

Unfortunately, a major cause of wedding stress are all the people who, for some reason, think they need to get involved. Just figuring out who to invite can be a minefield and that’s before seating plans, catering and finding a photographer. Pretty soon, you forget what and who the day is actually supposed to be about.

It actually happens pretty frequently. One year, a venue hosted an anime convention, a Christian couples counseling retreat, and a formal dinner for the Joint Chiefs of Staff on the same weekend. It's a pretty large venue, but there was some really interesting crossover. "General, would you like to relax with some tea at our Maid Cafe?"

Look at the crop - the photographer was probrably in on it, and taking two versions of every photo just by zooming out enough to get Wally/Waldo in the frame. I wonder if this was planned by the B&G, because if someone organised it privately with the photographer, it would have been an epic prank.

My dog does this (a**l glands need expressing). He also has SUPER LONG nails. He's a rescue from the streets on India and he won't let me or a team or vets near his nails or butt. I take him regularly and each time they say he's thriving and it's not worth the strain on his body to fully sedate him to clip his nails or express his glands. So many 'good dog owners' judge without appreciating situations are different - and a lot of the time they are the real 'good' owners accomodating their dogs individual needs.

Some experts suggest approaching wedding planning as any other task, particularly when it starts to get stressful. Think about how you might work on any larger task. Break it down into bite sized pieces. This way you can divide and conquer the whole process together with your significant other. It's an interesting quirk of our brains that makes us believe that big tasks are impossible so we just feel like giving up. Think about it this way, an apple pie is a recipe with many steps. But practically, you are only doing one to two things at a time. Telling yourself to slice an apple feels a lot more manageable than telling yourself to “just bake a pie.”

I don't understand why people were in such a rush to get married. If all of these guests were so special that you wanted them at your wedding, why not wait a few months until lockdown ended? I know life still went on during the pandemic, but if you really wanted a huge wedding, surely waiting would have been better? Having all those photographs makes it look like some sort of mass fatalities memorial.

I'm not a fan of this either, but people didn’t want to wait when they didn’t know how long it would go on or if one of them might die from it. Like Mangelo said... "Improvise. Adapt. Overcome."

On the brighter side, it is your event. You can actually do what you want, because the people who love you are there for you, not cake and some dancing. Trust me, there are seriously easier ways to find cake. So have fun, decorate how you like, get some crazy catering options, and make people dress up. Never forget that it's your day.

I don't get how you don't get to eat at your own wedding, like, that's such a soap opera trope. Can't YOU tell people to let you eat? When I was hungry at my wedding, and my feet were hurting from dancing, I sat on the floor next to the buffet WE selected, in my wedding dress, and my best friends fed me grapes and cheese! It was awesome.

Some friends of mine stopped at a Starbucks drive-through on their way to the honeymoon. They were still in their wedding clothes. They drove up to the window and the Starbucks employee said, in an annoyed voice, "Are you KIDDING me?! ...Hang on a second." A minute later she handed them out their coffees, and said in a tone of disgust, "On the house." lol

While some of these moments seem wacky or unusual, perhaps on the global scale it’s not that weird. After all, every culture has its own traditions and norms. Plus, many wedding customs have strange and fantastical origins anyway. For example, the ancient Romans believed that the bride’s veil was necessary to protect her from evil spirits. And just to be safe, the bridesmaids were also supposed to be matching and similar to the bride, so perhaps the evil spirit would get confused. Poor Roman women, forced to live in constant fear of marauding spirits!

The bride and groom should always get their food first and everyone else should be told to leave them alone until they are completely finished eating. It's common courtesy.

I was matron of honour (like maid of honour only older!) a few years back, shortly after my own wedding. We had quite an informal day, seeing as though I was late 40s and my husband mid-50s, so it was very relaxed, but I remembered how hungry we both were by evening time as we'd been too busy to eat. So I organised a picnic basket for the wedding suite, full of all the things I knew my sister (and fiance) loved-lots of cheeses, pickles, salami, deli meats, pates, breadsticks, salads, crackers, dips etc, so they spent their wedding night nibbling a carpet picnic. Definitely one of my better ideas, it went down well.

We haven’t escaped the Romans yet. Ever wondered why so many people prefer a June wedding? There is a sort of precedent for that. June comes from Juno, also known as Hera for aficionados of Greek mythology. The evil spirit-fearing Romans believed that Juno was the goddess of marriage, among other things. It also probably helps that summer weddings are oh-so-beautiful, but I’m sure that’s just a lucky coincidence.

Few years ago we were staying at a nice hotel in Chicago. We get back from a concert and see there was this gorgeous Indian wedding going on in the reception area of the hotel. Everyone was dressed up so nicely and a little bit sauced as well. We see a groomsman and remark how beautiful everything was. He was like "heck yeah!" And gave us a bottle of wine lol.

We also had the pleasure of asking the team at Lisa Pleasant Events about some of their more memorable wedding experiences. "I had groomsmen ask me to run and grab them chick-fil-a 20 minutes before they were about to walk down the aisle. I had a few groomsmen forget their pocket squares so we folded pocket squares out of face masks and they actually turned out pretty good. lol Of course I've held back a bride's hair as she puked and held up a bride's dress while she tinkled...and actually that particular bride was my husband's ex-girlfriend. Awkward. I have also been asked to be the sole communicator between the couple and their parents. So that was a fun year of planning."

But different isn't always bad, in fact going against the grain can create a more memorable experience. "I'd say any personal touches that reflect the couples' personality, regardless of how untraditional it may be will make your big day stand out. I've had a couple of weddings with a live cigar-roller, which is a personal favorite of mine now. I also have an upcoming wedding at the end of October that wants a slight Halloween touch, so they are having a live fortune-teller come read tarot cards to guests during the reception! A lot of couples are branching out from tradition and looking for unique ways to entertain, and it makes for something the guests will truly remember down the road."

You don't generally hold hands until the end though; ofc it depends on your culture/ where you live/ etc. Also, it's a lot of attention to have on you and everyone deals with that differently. They seem like they may just be shy/ awkward. I expected to cry at my wedding, but it was just awkward smiling and giggles instead :D

I love the flower triceratops idea. Even better than the "ring bear" idea. If you haven't encountered a "ring bear", it happens when a small ring bearer has misheard their title, and protests trying on a suit. All cool brides imediately realise that having the ring bearer wear a teddy bear costume is a brilliant idea, and adopt it immediately.

Why are people downvoting MichaelHunt? They are correct. The "rice hurts the birds" thing is a myth. It has been debunked many times. Go buy a bag of bird seed and boil it. It will swell up the way rice does when cooked. Does not hurt the birds to eat it.

I see 4 problems. 1: forks are too high for the balance of the load; 2) people should NEVER be on the forks, nor on any platform placed on the forks; 3) An unexpected fall from that height has a better than 50 percent chance of being fatal; 4) driver is holding unsecured toddler in the drivers seat. An unexpected bump could cause toddler to fall and potentially be run over by the forklift.

Comment on original Reddit post: "I am the girl in this picture and I need to correct y’all on a couple things: 1. This is a LES SCHWAB not a Discount Tire you uneducated f***s 2. My husband is the sweetest, most understanding, handsome man I have ever met. This picture does not do him justice, I promise you that. 3. We were going to just sign the papers and get legally married but ended up throwing an impromptu wedding that my parents and his mom could attend. We didn’t mind that it was at a tire shop because we both love cars and we also still intend to have a big wedding reception down the road. All of you are so rude and judgmental, we love each other and I can guarantee you none of you have a love like ours. Davis Bonner (the ignorant a*****e that posted this) is the type that has never so much as touched a woman. Guess he lives out his fantasies by posting about others"

I’ve been in the wedding industry for 15 years. Grooms tend to dress like this because they aren’t interested in getting married. They feel forced into the situation because the bride is either pregnant or a mental case who nagged him relentlessly until he agreed to marry her. I’ve worked a handful of weddings with sloppy dressed grooms and all of them have ended in divorce.

I don't find this funny at all. What a waste of food. You know, I'm a meat eater, but to think an animal died to just be thrown in the air for a photo? I find that really distasteful.

I meet my 2nd girlfriend in this game, a lot of couples met throught this game, and if you look at the fórums, many of them got married after meeting on this game, só it might seem cringey if you don't play, but if you're One of those couples that play WoW, this is actually cute, apart from the fact that they are filphy horde, when they should clearly the from the superior Aliance.
