Deep inside our brains is an ocean of memories, emotions, and feelings that can be unlocked by the correct application of sights, smells, and sounds. Without warning, the theme song of a childhood cartoon or the smell of that one aisle in the corner store by your house can teleport you to another time. It might feel like magic, but nostalgia is a very real phenomenon.
The “Nostalgia” Instagram account is pretty self-explanatory, showcasing content that should be like a healthy blast from the past, both funny and relatable. So prepare for a little trip in time, upvote the images that unlocked some memories, and share your thoughts in the comment section below.

When my boys were little, there was a cartoon about killer tomatoes 🍅🍅🍅😔...How do people even compare Bugs Bunny, Pink Panther & The Jetsons to something like that? 😧
Load More Replies...I watched most of these and old school Looney Tunes... Saturday mornings were so lit. Crazy to think at the time, I had no idea how good and simple life was.
Saturday mornings were the best! Bugs Bunny will always be my favorite!
Load More Replies...They did. It was called Boomerang. In '92, it started off just showing old cartoons. In 2000, it started mixing in the Cartoon Network classics. As part of the WB merger they decided to rebrand and the channel now makes and runs remakes. If you see a really bad Scooby Doo or Powerpuff girls remake, it's Boomerang.
That's a shame that they didn't keep it how it was
Load More Replies...If Adult Swim didn't happen I still don't know what I would've done. ATHF!
Amazing world of gumball, adventure time and teen titans go anre all cn now and are so good
Teen Titans is hilarious. I don't always have to wait for my sons to watch it. I find myself watching it alone often. Clarence is also a riot. I'm 57 btw.
Load More Replies...Kenny wasn't like the other kids...tv mattered, nothing else did...
Load More Replies...They played music videos all day with occasional "news" segments related to music, but then it became more and more about reality TV shows with stars in them
Load More Replies...Bambi was based on a children's book from Germany, I think.
Load More Replies...I shall never call them skunks again sir......🤘🏻
Load More Replies...50 years ago, they took me to the cinema to watch bambi, dead silent, the whole audience holding its breath, when little me wails out "they shot bambi's mammy" and cried my heart out. Had to take me out to the lobby for little bit.
This is cute as h*'ll. When I was a kid, we watched our cat sitting at the end of our sidewalk, just hanging out and playing with a skunk. Cats know how to "handle" them. Why do dogs have to be such jerks and get themselves sprayed?
The original book from Germany could have been based on a true story. It warms my heart to think so.
Because nostalgia focuses so much on memories of how things used to be, both real and imagined, it’s important to keep track of what is a cherished memory and what is a specific, focused-tested set of concepts put together to evoke a specific memory. As cynical as it might seem, politicians, movements and advertisers are all wise to the idea of nostalgia as a method to manipulate people.
The “return to the good, old days” is a common promise for many politicians, and many products will try to associate themselves with potential consumers’ childhoods. Little reminders of childhood do often come with a comforting wave of emotions, just make sure that you don’t let people hijack it to sell you anything.
I recall the smell of all the art supplies. Paints, markers, crayons, the wood smell from the freshly sharpened colored pencils... you did not need to deliberately huff or abuse these to appreciate them. Having them out meant a low stress outlet for creativity.
Load More Replies...What a memory. We had a bunch of crayons in a potato flake bucket with a lid... ahhh when you opened it... I'd take a good couple of sniffs before even reaching for the crayons 😂
oooooh straight nostalgia (im young but we had like eighteen trillion buckets of these in the art room so it just smelled like straight this)
Find all the lemon yellows and send them to me! I miss that color.
I, being totally not the target audience as young-ish male and not having any nostalgic connection to it, absolutely love the show.
I grew up with them and haven't found a person who dislikes them.
Load More Replies...Well this is the first time I can say I’m tea kettle wheezing at 8:29 while listening to tcfsv and reading a bored panda post
I have upstairs Excedrin and downstairs Excedrin.
Load More Replies...You are actually very smart for doing that, I should too
Load More Replies...Until the window handle stripped out and you replaced it with vise grips. Still love the sound of vinyl though.
Same, music never sounded so good. Records had such a clear, full, beautiful sound, even with the snap crackle pop ;)
Load More Replies...Dude window cranks>electric windows. Electric windows are nice until they stop working. That hand crank can last a lifetime.
Yup, at least four hours later and about$120 for the window motor cause the window got stuck all the way down going through a toll at night when it's snowing... Hand crank forever
Load More Replies...My work van (2009) has wind up windows. I still use my UBD to find places and I still use a record player from time to time. Many things in today's tech are things out of Sci-Fi books from the 60's I grew up reading
Some of these I don’t remember disappearing, like… I still look for a window handle when I get in a car. And the other day I was wondering how to find an electrician since we don’t have the yellow pages anymore, I don’t remember when or how we stopped using the phonebooks. Where did our vcr go, in fact where did our dvd player go? It’s such a weird feeling sometimes.
Aluminum foil, the hoop, and of course that moment when you hear "don't move" when you're in an impossible yoga position. One leg in the air and both arms outspread.
Load More Replies...People still come in asking if we sell maps where I work. And mom's less than 10 years old Jeep Wrangler has manual window cranks.
I still prefer using the yellow pages over looking up businesses on the web
Well, if you look at how fast companys die these days, you better use google or you probably call the wrong people
Load More Replies...2000s kid here and i remember all of this, im one of those genzs who Acts older then they are
Which is awesome, I’m a fellow Gen Z who’s just like you :) I’m such an old soul it’s insane, I swear I was born in the wrong era 😆
Load More Replies...That being said, it is a real and verifiable fact that nostalgia can provide a good amount of comfort through times of sadness and uncertainty. Psychologists believe that in certain “doses,” it’s actually pretty important to our mental health. Think of it this way, when current circumstances don’t provide joy, your brain has this nifty little ability to just reach into the past and scoop up things that made you happy before. There might be diminishing returns, but hey, it’s a start.
I remember when the video recorder was reel-to-reel, and before that when they had to set up a projection screen and thread a 16 mm film projector...
And before that it was film strips with narration on a record that beeps to tell you to go to the next strip.
Load More Replies...and youth detector sound when there was no tape playing but the snowy picture
Load More Replies...That's when you knew Mrs. Tolliver drank too much red wine last night.
Needs Batty from Fern Gully!! We watched that with my 7yo a cpl days ago and MAN that movie hold up! An often forgotten classic Robin movie!
Saw him live in the 90's. Laughed so hard I was crying, sometimes barely able to breathe, and LITERALLY ROTFL. Brilliant. Sad he left is too soon.
I think I was 5 the 1st time my dad left me to go out for a bit. Not only did he come back, but he brought McDonald's and some movies from blockbuster. I'm holding back tears typing this. 🤣
Age 10, left alone with 4 year old brother and newborn sister while mom worked evenings and spent donor drank. No phone, no close neighbors, or check ins. The thing about this is that you get very independent and responsible very young
Load More Replies...I was born in '73 and was walking home from school by 3rd grade. Now apparently parents have to meet kids at the end of the driveway to walk them thirty feet from the bus to the front door?
There were good bits to all of that.. Sneaking in cigarettes before we knew how toxic they were and it was just badass 😂
Thinking you’re cool making a mixed drink using Kool aid and Jack Daniels…nope all I did was ruin whisky and tropical punch for myself 😂
Load More Replies...I think the first time I was left alone by my mom I was just reading a book on the couch and she basically said, "keep doing what you're doing, don't answer the door or the phone"- I was about 10, I think. My parents knew if they parked me somewhere with my nose in a book, that I wouldn't even know they were gone.
To maintain the metaphor of nostalgia-as-medication, it is possible to “take” too much. After all, if you feel the past was too good, you might end up longing just to return instead of focusing on the present. The Germans, as always, have a term for this, called “Sehnsucht,” which you can now use as a complicated and pretentious way to talk about longing, desire, yearning, and craving.
I'm convinced that if you didn't, you didn't have a childhood. Change my mind.
Or if you draw two mountains, the sun rises in between the mountains.
Of course. And the house you drew was always right in the middle. Flowers were always half the size of the house.
That's how all little kids depict the sky to begin with.
Load More Replies...Priorities for a 90s kids was definitely on another level kids nowadays won't be able to comprehend.
Which do not make the priorities of modern kids any worse, mind you
Load More Replies...I'm close to 50 and my kids got me this as part of a gift! It's ridiculous how happy it made me! Crayola brand, even!
I remember being giddy the year I finally convinced my mother to get me the BIG Crayola pack with 128 colors.
Not a 90s kid, but I still had these. Got them from the little gift bags at birthday parties my mother dragged me too🤣
Gas stations used to give them away just for the asking when gas was 35 cents a gallon. "Thanks for stopping by!"
Load More Replies...I don't understand how those are simultaneously so horrible and yet so great.
The origin of “Sehnsucht” (capitalized because the Germans capitalize every noun) is “suffering,” which is ultimately what someone would probably feel if they have trapped themselves in the thought that things will never be as good as they used to be. However, some psychologists believe that over time, this emotion can help a person start to develop and plan out the steps to actually improve things.
We weren't really poor but these were standard 1980's "staying home sick" supplies. But with ginger ale instead of Sprite. :)
Same. And when your tummy was really bad, it was the orange jello and chicken bouillon add on pack!
Load More Replies...Haha I still use vicks all the time, especially for headaches. My father swore by it, he’d of made a good spokesman for the company
it is the best for headaches... better than popping pills
Load More Replies...Somewhere out there is an old Polaroid of me on a couch like that (with the orange flowers and log cabin) with chicken pox
Vicks yes... otherwise chicken broth... Also, my mom made Maharashtrian style dal and rice... it's called Varan Bhat.. just a bit of lemon squeezed and have it with pickle... this was my get well soon food
The nostalgia is strong in this one. Sick at grandma's house watching game shows and soap operas on the same couch all day long. Bring me back.
Ah yes, the shin shredders. If your foot slipped off of one of those puppies, it was immediate blood and pain and bandaids and getting your leg doused in hydrogen peroxide and triple bac.
We used Iodine tinture, a smelly stuff that tinged all you leg of red...
Load More Replies...bear triple traps were the worst. I had scars for years. Second only to STILL slipping off a pedal and crunching your nuts on the frame bar.
I always thought I could deal with these bad boys, barefoot. -very wrong
Oh you totally could for like 50 ft then you walked your bike back and got your shoes
Load More Replies...I had professors still using these in college in 2005...and I'm realizing that's almost 20 years ago after typing that and I'm old, boooh.
Hold my beer. My son's been out of college for twenty years. I'M old.
Load More Replies...What about the 16MM movie projector or the slide projector with a record player for the narration? What about chalk on a slate "board"? How about the crank pencil sharpeners?
Completely understandable. It’s an overhead projector. So teachers would somehow make clear worksheets (I don’t actually know where those came from) and they’d put it on this and the picture would be on the board. And they’d write in them in dry erase markers.
Load More Replies...Oof... I hate these things. Well at least the thick plastic cover sheets. They'd hold down paper so it stayed flat. Plus you could write on them with special pens. When we'd get in trouble, our teacher would hold us after school to clean them. They'd be in a tub, about 100 of them, submerged in water. I would always leave with thick plastic cuts all over my hands. It was brutal.
No. I love these things, a huge improvement on the old chalk on blackboard.
Load More Replies...Had a calculus teacher who had you come up and demonstrate a problem and solution to the class on one of these. Mrs. Gurley, hell of a teacher, sounded like if you made Glinda the Good Witch into a drill instructor.
An Elmo that I used was a document camera, with the camera aimed straight down onto the paper you were writing on, and it projected the image onto the screen.
Load More Replies...Once you realize the potential of tapping into the past to draft people’s emotions, you might start to see how it’s used everywhere. You might notice that the Instagram logo is, in fact, a drawing of a Polaroid, despite the fact that 99% of the userbase are probably using a smartphone. But somehow, an old camera seems more special and emotional than the many, smaller and often more powerful cameras we carry in our pockets every day.
In older movies, teenagers were played by adults in their 20s-30s. Real teens are super awkward and these "teens" were supposed to be "cool"
I never believed these two were teenagers. A few of the others too. Like Cha-Cha... I remember asking why an adult was allowed to join the dance off.
But she was the best dancer at St Bernadette’s!!!!
Load More Replies...I can remember looking in the mirror and thinking, "wow, I'm going to change a lot!"
She was 30 the year it was released so yeah; John Travolta was a babe in arms by comparison.
Load More Replies...They used to have some reading program too, with prizes and stuff.
I loved that program! I always got a meatlover's personal pan! I read so many books lol
Load More Replies...I can hear that picture as the fall to the ground and bounce an impossible number of times before stopping.
Yeah. My first Pizza at the first Shakey's 26 and Jay streets in Sacramento, CA. 1958? It became a "to go" place in high school. Best West Coast pizza. Now I am hungry.
Load More Replies...Up until 6th grade for me, and remember the “book fairs” would be held in the school gymnasium
They still do this, through scholastic. My kids bring them home about once a semester..
They still do this? My younger family members still bring these home.
I was so lucky and didn't know it at the time. I got to order $20 worth of books each time, basically all of them that I wanted. My order was always the biggest. Loved to read and it gave me an appetite for learning that made me very successful in life.
..I always had the biggest order too that's why I would get so excited when the box came...Third and Fourth grades especially....I became a teacher with a Masters degree in education...🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Load More Replies...No! This isn't the book fair (although those were awesome) this is one of the some how double side printed tissue paper thin book order forms. Color came off in your hands were oddly indestructible and great for silly putty!
And speaking of social media, you have probably seen how, for example, Meta products like Facebook and the aforementioned Instagram have “memory” functions that will randomly show you images from the past, normally on their one-year anniversary. This could of course be a bit misguided, as many people have documented randomly getting images from an illness or a breakup a year ago.
I still do this when I forget to bring along my cellphone to the toilet 😬
I’ve learned how to read in French & Spanish from shampoo bottles, etc. Who knew pooping could be so educational? 🙂
Load More Replies...Or there was a box/rack with old magazines etc in it for your perusal while on the "throne"
We still have these things we call books. Tbh I read BP on the toilet or books.
Uncle John’s Bathroom Reader is my personal WC literary fave
Load More Replies...Omg I've read every single thing in my bathroom including tampon boxes and toilet bowl cleaners lol
My relatives had a stack of Calvin and Hobbes comic books by the toilet, while my grandparents had the Darwin Awards.
After my time. First Pong Sports, then Frogger, Space Invaders, Centipede.
I mean it's not too complicated. You use up all your safe moves then you try a lucky guess. Repeat until complete.
Load More Replies...Whippersnappers! I was thirty when these became available. I grew up with book, packs of cards, dice and board games, and craft supplies...
lol, now I had a memory of even older games, using 9v batteries, that had only a rough grid of red LED lights. Or the Quiz Kid...
I play Patience with real cards becos then I can cheat!!! (It takes so long to shuffle and lay the cards out again, I always wanted to keep the game going a bit longer.)
I play solitaire with real cards for the same reason, I know way too many versions of solitaire
Load More Replies...I'm not even a quarter of the way through the list, and I feel so darn 𝘰𝘭𝘥...
Times were much simpler back then. Sometimes I wish I could go back, if only for a few minutes.
Other companies do their best to tap into this feeling as well. The Nokia 3310 phone was legendary for a variety of reasons, but it seems its reputation for being indestructible goes beyond the physical, as the company relaunched it in 2017. The phone seems like stone-age technology compared to any random smartphone from the last few years, but people do want to relive that two-tone snake game and the feeling of pressing some buttons.
Not a 90s kid, but I still had to learn this. I barely know my times tabels but I do know how to play 'hot cross buns' on the recorder 😁
I was a child of the 80s. My elementary school music teacher taught us "Living On A Prayer" by Bon Jovi, and then made us perform it at a spring concert for our parents. It... wasn't a pleasant sound
Load More Replies...Still a good gift for your brother's/sister's kids. I know I've bought 5 of them at least.
I bought one as a joke gift for Secret Santa one year!
Load More Replies...My school taught us how to play. Almost a shame they never taught us how to play it in tune.
I actually took a recorder ensembles to a competition and we won in the woodwind category. We actually tuned before we played.
Load More Replies...I quote this all the time. I was a 70's kid and this was standard curriculum.
The metal one at my elementary school had a 2 foot drop at the end. It was very dangerous, but so much fun! (Very few burns because of catholic school dress code)
My grandmother had a big tall metal one. Sje used to give us wax paper to sit on as we slid. We were adults before we realized she'd been trying to kill us.
I know perspective when little but I'm sure they were over twice as high as they are now. We also had who could jump the furthest off the swings and spin the roundabout as fast as you can to see who would fall off last. Less play ground more assault course.
Load More Replies...The squelching squeak of your thighs as they first stick and then melt their way down
I remember rubbing the metal slides down with waxed paper. It made them so much faster!
Oof, the screech of when the skin on your thighs got you stuck on the plastic slide...
Those plastic jugs of brightly colored sugar water! I never saw them in anyone's home - they only showed up at school or parties.
I have them in my refrigerator right now for my great nephews birthday party we are having today.
Load More Replies...Now now, you know that ice cream would come in that big plastic container with the carry on strap
I was allowed to drink barrel juice one(1) time, andi got so hopped up on sugar I started a fire, stole a chicken and claimed an entire treehouse for me and my new friend
With the ice cream, we actually had cones that were shaped to hold square cuts. Dad would peel the cardboard off and use a huge knife to slice through. Now they only make cones that are good for scoops, not nearly as decadent at all. It was especially fancy when it was the Neopolitan, as the containers looked like paint brushes.
“Stranger Things” is another case-in-point, where much of the appeal is an idealized image of the 80s, alongside many of the tropes and cliches of 80s children's movies, such as the iconic “ET.” The show was a brilliant move by Netflix, as it managed to both attract gen x viewers who wanted to relive a past era while simultaneously creating nostalgia among younger viewers, a sort of self-perpetuating false memory of the past.
Pretty sure my first mobile I had a certain number of free minutes talk and a certain number of free texts. It's why we evolved texting over talking, because we'd save the talk minutes for really important stuff and text the rest.
And th onver ations dur ad eather. And the conversations during bad weather.
Who remembers when you had a phone line in the house and the phone companies had a set fee for local calls and charged you for long distant calls during prime hours. But if you called after a certain time, I believe in my area it was after 11 pm, the rate would drop.
I remember me and my folks having those phones too, anybody remembers the old Assurance Wireless cell? Or the T-Mobile Sidekick
Haha, my husband had that small assurance phone( still have it in basement as a memory item) he liked hot it fit in his pocket so never upgraded to another phone
Load More Replies...When you get charged per text , imagine if it wasn’t limited nowadays
And you could slip on the oil residue and break something.
Load More Replies...Urgh the way thry TASTED. Only tried that once, but I still remember the slippery gross feel in my mouth, and the perfumy taste.
All i remember is my rage tapping them so hard to the table because the pointer won't behave.
Tapping?!! I would beat it on the table and a couple got flung across the room (well as far as it would go before the cable grabbed it). I thought heaven had arrived when I got a wireless trackball. Still prefer to a mouse though.
Load More Replies...(Retired IT Admin here) At the university I worked at, the accounting department would wear them out. The head of accounting would call me to tell me that her mouse balls were dirty and could I clean them for her ? I ended up ordering extra mouse balls... 😂
Head of accounting and she thought that paying someone an IT salary to clean mouse balls was cost efficient???
Load More Replies...I still use a trackball rather than a mouse. It’s still incredibly satisfying popping the ball out and peeling the crud off the contacts. Highly recommended.
One time, the gunk build up was SO bad that I pulled the ball out and I couldn't see anything stuck to the ball - smooth surface. But then I realized that smooth surface was the dirt/gunk and I 'peeled' it like an orange and the ball worked properly again. In my defense, as best I can recall that one was not my mouse. I used to work on other people's computers. Though at times my own mouse ball got pretty bad.
Computer lab? Jeez, at high school we got to look at the schools new computer.... Wasn't even turned on!
I never even saw a computer until I started work using one - an IBM mainframe at that. On the job training was the norm in those days, as hardly anybody had any sort of experience.
Load More Replies...Hahaha thats f****n right, I died of dysentery again!🤣
Load More Replies...I was telling my kids about how when I first started school the school had ONE computer and each class got a turn of it for a week. There was even a special unveiling assembly held to show it to everyone and special monitors in Year 6 in charge of transporting it to the designated classroom each week. It was some sort of Apple thing and had original PrintShop and Muppetville.
My school in elementary school had a specific lab that was just old school colorful Apple computers
Hey I also had a creepy computer teacher! He coincidentally also looked like the killer from the lovely bones. Very unnerving.
Load More Replies...I remember playing ‘coolmathgames’ and all the kids told the teachers that it was actual math and not just normal games 😁
Some specialists have started to develop a concept of “forestalgia,” which is a sort of hopeful belief that in some imagined future, many things will be better. While an idealized future has existed for centuries, the advent of science fiction has created multiple generations who actively think about what the next few decades will bring.
Anti cat propaganda, lol!!! Now I'm curious to know how you feel about Garfield ;-)
Load More Replies...Tom n Jerry and the three stooges were the first contents we watched on tv when we first arrived in the US, you didn’t have to understand the language to get a laugh
Always rooted for Jerry as a kid, but watched it as an adult and realized he was a jerk and instigated a lot of the fights... I'd probably be trying to kill him too lol
My 3 yo is currently obsessed… she will watch for hours. Im scrambling to come up with why not
The older ones anyway, every T&J from the 60's onwards has been c**p.
Another boring version of Road Runner: the chase, the chase and more chasing. Go get Daffy!
On behalf of the USA...you didn't need to burn us that hard!!🤣😭
Load More Replies...It’s much quicker than printing, I hate forms that insist on printing, it takes flaming ages 😠
Or 'Block Capitals'. I promise my block capitals are not any easier to read than just simply writing it clearly!!
Load More Replies...Story on the internet lately..... A secretary called an older employee into her office to try to translate a letter that was in a "foreign language"....... it was written in cursive... (facepalm)🤦♂️
I use this now to leave secret messages for my wife because the kids can't read it lol
Can’t be arsed to even make it to midnight now. Wake me up in the morning
I'm a teen and I would prefer the last photo if my dad didn't make a big f*****g fuss about lighting fireworks and everyone watching them
And so much simpler. Although, for me this began in the 80s. I somehow think we do better being less busy and distracted
No it bloody wasn't, because even though the shelf was full... THERE WERE NO COPIES BEHIND THE COPIES! Lies!
Instead they always has had hundreds of copies of movies I'd swear were made specially for Blockbuster.
Load More Replies...Miss these, used to get a small allowance and me and my siblings would put in for an xtra movie from blockbuster or hollywood video (still have both member cards!) Parents would get themselves a few, we'd pick ours, then the xtra! Then it was microwave popcorn and the cheap little caesera or pizza hut with the book reading coupons! So good after our bedtime bath we did that almost every Saturday/sunday
This is inaccurate right? Completely inaccurate… the 70s were 30 years ago. You can’t convince me otherwise.
Load More Replies...When I was a kid “classic rock” stations were playing music that was only like 10-20 years before my time. Using this same math, Foo Fighters, Audioslave, and Disturbed should all be considered “classic rock”.
If this trash can was in my neighborhood, I would totally paint it to look like R2D2
Especially if you managed to fit in that word that spins 360°… killin it
Elementary school? Try last month when I had to post a sign about being closed for 4th of July. Its not quite the same, but it still works.
Uhmmm, Word Art? It was light pencil guide lines and markers for my generation.
Tip: play the actual movie on the end of the lane, cover the screens with acrylic glass though
I can't throw a ball when I'm crying because Hammond just said "Dr. Grant ... my dear Dr. Sattler ... welcome to Jurassic Park."
Load More Replies...I had many of my birthdays at our little town’s bowling alley. Or a sleepover in my basement with crepe paper streamers we’d tear down and tie around our head and wrists to be teenage mutant ninja turtles. I was always Leonardo (blue), my best friend Nikki was always Michaelangelo (idk how to spell it). No one wanted to be Raffael. Idk why! Lol. Pizza and balloons. Complete party!

Load More Replies...Is it wrong that I have three belts with these buckles? Love them all
We had vinyl seats in our car in the early 80's. In the summer we had to put a blanket down to keep from burning our legs. We tried to remember to tuck the buckles under the blanket when we got out but sometimes we forgot.
So i finally got a decent car. Heated steering wheel, panaramic sunroof, leather seats. Black leather seats. Using a towel for now but looking for sest covers.
Load More Replies...But we also used to remove the blue rubber thing in the cap, make a little hole in the middel and stretch it into armbands 😂 COOL as heck ey? 😂
I was about to say the same! It was difficult to strech it without breaking it. The more you had on your arm, the cooler you were.
Load More Replies...I only did this when I was chain smoking bubblegum Marlboros...
I didn't. That was way longer after I was a adult.
Load More Replies...Just now learning it’s NOT “altruistic firestarter.” 😔
Load More Replies...I remember watching these for a music history class in school, some of those were hilarious 😂
Gosh so many music videos did this, N'Sync, Biggie and Puffy, (before he was Diddy), that song How Bizarre...
I was ALWAYS taking pictures in high school with camera like this! Such good times! 🥺
Except over half of them ended up in the trash because the pictures came out so badly. :)
Load More Replies...I had a very basic Kodak camera from a young age. Disposables didn't come along until later. I remember we put one on each table at my wedding.
I did the same! It's been 6 years and I still haven't developed them 😆
Load More Replies...We sold these for wedding receptions that guests could use. I'm not sure what they thought after the film was decolped, but I know there were a number of pics taken from inside our warehouse.
And how you were so excited about getting them developed and 90 percent would be blurry and out of focus but you still kept them all

Good heavens! This is spot- on what happened with our dog when we tried "canine CBD" before a flight. We had to call someone to come pick her up / no way I'd have got in a plane with her, as she tried to chew her own foot off.

Yes, thank you for those forever nightmares. My husband has no problem driving past these trucks and I'm in the passenger seat white knuckleing the seat just hoping not to die.
I just read this really happened to a woman this week. Turned out just like the movie.
I worked at a video store in the 90s, and people would sit on chairs in the store waiting for copies of movies. One guy had me crawling into the drop box hole every time someone made a drop, which was every 5 seconds till his copy came in. No lie.

Wowww forgot about this, now I can remember I was the leader of the bunch quite a bit cause I was one of those goody two shoes kids in class xD So I was always getting a “reward sticker” on the chart, from what I can remember by the time I got to 3rd grade teachers had done away with this, I couldn’t care regardless, was too young to think anything of it. But this just brought back such memories of something I totally forgot about 👌🏼
I remember at the end of the day our teacher would put those star stickers on our hands, I would pretend I was Wonder Woman with it on
It's for reading assignments for younger kids. Colors represents the difficulty of the reading and and shapes were how well you did. For my school anyways.
In my school it was for kids who behaved well in class, and whoever had the most stickers would get praise by the teachers. Whoever had ALL the stickers would usually be gifted a free item like a toy

We didn't do this; instead, we got bribed. Our class had one of those plastic drawer things, like you put screws and nails, etc. in. We were all assigned a drawer, and when we did something good, we got a marble. Collect 30 marbles and we got to go get a prize out of a giant box in the back of the room.
I started with an Atari, then had a super Nintendo, then a Sega Genesis. Cut to adulthood and I had a gaming PC, then a backwards compatible PS3, now a PS4.
We had a black and white TV until I was thirteen. The color set that replaced it was too heavy to pull off the stand and put on the floor, and it didn't matter anyway, I was 27 before I had anything that needed a TV as a monitor.
All fun until a fight breaks out and dad pulls the plug out of the socket!

Even now they're all jumbled. Nintendo switch and Xbox have A+B swapped and X+Y swapped, so when I use one for a while then I'm disoriented when I use the other
Switching between controllers is hell even now! WHY CAN’T WE STANDARDIZE THIS BUSINESS???!
The worst part is they are pretty much standardized. 2 analog sticks that also function as buttons. A d-pad on the left, 4 buttons in a diamond pattern on the right, and 2 buttons on each shoulder. The only real difference is the ergonomics and what each company calls each button
