For most of the world, getting through the '80s was a bumpy ride, and the '90s weren't much better until later on. Kids, or their insane parents, did the most regrettable things with their hair, and these school photos are most likely not something they look back on even a little bit fondly. In fact, we're pretty sure all of these hairstyles are now illegal.

I remember wanting a mullet in the 80's. It was one of the few fashion choices my mom ever put her foot down on . She said, with the most sincerest of wisdom, "NO F*CKING WAY ARE YOU GETTING THAT STUPID HAIRCUT". Thanks, Mom, you were right!!!

I'm not saying they didn't put a bowl on your head but this is not a classic bowl cut. Bowl cuts go straight around nearly parallel to the ground. This actually tapers nicely. It's rather cute.
