In 1996, where the first netizens mentioned it in a variety of posts about everyday life. However, the actual post, of holding one’s face in your palm, is relatively old, and found in statues and sculptures going back hundreds, if not thousands of years. I work with kids in the foster care system. People have no clue what kids go through and what that trauma looks like when they are grown. And honestly, I’ve given up explaining my point of view because it’s not a discussion, it’s some absolute sin.

this isn't new or uncommon. those nutjobs w/the signs outside clinics will give you 102 reasons why you should keep the baby. they will promise you help & maybe assist w/food/medical. their only goal is to keep a woman from termination. but, as soon as that child takes a breath they wash their hands of the situation. they become disinterested. they will tell you that you should have thought about things before having a baby. they are, by far, the biggest hypocrites when it comes to social issues. if a person is persuaded to keep the child that person/organization should be on the hook for help as they are the reason there is a problem in the first place.

Everyone in the USA? The majority of Americans are pro-choice. It is now banned in 14 states, and there are new laws with gestational limits ranging from 6 to 18 weeks in another 6 states. However, laws in the other 30 states remain either unchanged or have new laws with stronger pro-choice protections. I backed out of having an abortion the night before it was scheduled. The Doctor told me that keeping the baby wasn't the best decision. This was in 1972, had to go out of state bc it was illegal in my state. I was 17 We have a daughter that is a wonderful person, college educated and both of our grandsons r kind caring young men with college educations BTW her father and I married after she was born & celebrated our 50th anniversary last year Abortion should be legal without any government interference. We do need to provide more education and care for our young people. I hurt for women that have to make that decision. I had a very supportive mother & no we weren't financially well off.
So, it's ok to force a child on someone that can't take care of it because she got pregnant, but not on someone that convinced her to have it

Well, just like seven months before, that baby doesn't have a fully developed nervous system yet, and still depends on someone else to survive, so...
She didn’t TALK anyone out of anything. She used the tool of the religious patriarchy - guilt. She would have told the mother she was “killing her child”, that “abortion is murder”, that she was “committing the ultimate sin”, and that she would “never go to heaven”. She’d then have continued on about how the emotional impact of the abortion was going to ruin her life and marriage, making her unattractive to her husband (because, she’s pregnant, so she has to have a husband, right). Laid down the guilt, and walked away patting herself on the back. What a hypocritical, stupid, narrow-minded, brainwashed woman. There is zero point even reacting to her “no, no, I can’t” cries. She’s literally too stupid to understand the irony of her excuse.
If you aren't willing to stand behind your beliefs by accepting that child, you are the worst kind of hypocrite! Talk her out of having a child that may have been neglected, starved, abused or damaged, but you're not willing to show her you actually MEANT them? The STFU! I don't understand why there's unquestioning support of every government decision and even the most innocuous questions about some vaccines are met with "MURDERER! SATAN! BURN THE WITCH!".
