Color theory class in college, my professor Mr Stevens asks a question and I have a different answer than the rest of the class. He says let's discuss it and that was basically 40 people telling me I was wrong and why I was wrong. I refused to change my answer and it turns out I was correct. He complimented me on holding out under such heavy criticism.

At grocery stores, when they ask if you want to donate a dollar to X cause. I say no. And I donate money where I want on my own. Because the store is going to take the big tax write-off. I'd rather take it myself.

After I was laid off a few years ago I was home for two years. Felt like absolute s****. I was 28 and home, had to sell my car, drop out of my grad program, everything. You'd think, hey you have the time to do everything...nope...you'd be depressed and lost and wondering what is happening. It's only "fun" when you have financial security and don't have to worry about bills etc.

Not related to the post: We don't have them in the UK, but I've seen them on a few posts now, so I'm assuming they are a fairly big chain, but... Does anyone else think that 'In-n-out burger' is a REALLY bad name? For me it just conjures images of food poisoning.

On my day off I almost always sleep in until lunchtime. I feel vaguely guilty about it but also like who cares I can do that if I want. At least I'm not out wasting money if I'm asleep, plus I have interesting dreams.

I get that. Depending on the store. Credit companies charge the retailer for every credit card transaction. It’s a tiny fee but it adds up. That’s why a lot of gas stations and privately owned business don’t take credit cards under a certain dollar amount

I did very well on my exams but still felt terrible for getting 29/40 marks in History. I felt like crying in the class when the results got announced and those marks don’t even have any impact on my overall percentage
