There's nothing funny about depression or anxiety, but some sufferers find humor to be a good way of dealing with the daily struggles of living with such mood disorders. British artist Gemma Correll is one of those people, and as you can see below, her illustrators are as funny as they are thought-provoking. Whether she's highlighting the perils of overthinking, sharing her dread at receiving a phone call, feeling bad for feeling bad, or stressing about not being stressed, the self-proclaimed "infamous anti-socialite and pug lady's" simple style and witty humor makes us laugh, but she also makes us think. Don't forget to vote for your favorite!

And where is the depression or anxiety in this picture?

Shari H

People with depression and anxiety often only feel a sense of happiness and security at home. My husband sometimes gets so bad that he only feels safe in bed; he will stay there sometimes for days on end surfing the web, watching TV, and seemingly happy and at peace. However, it is affecting his job, his friendships, and his physical and mental health, and when it gets to the point that he has to get up and go to work his anxiety is that much worse because he knows he will have to face the world, and his depression increases because he hears from his co-workers all about how his absence made their work days more difficult and it makes him feel like a failure. Then he just wants to hide in bed and ignore the world because he thinks it makes him feel better when really it makes everything worse.

Could I put a picture of my verbally abusive, tantrum throwing, condescending (Despite having mild-mental retardation, which I loved him despite of.), persistently "suck what little happiness you are feeling right now, right out of you!" negative, self-centered and violent towards are oldest daughter, soon to be ex-husband on It? And then, may I destroy it while crying out all the pain from the past 10 years of being married to him?
