Some people think that gaming is just for children. But why can't parents have some fun with the controllers sometimes? It's a common misconception that people stop gaming once they reach adulthood. In reality, 70% of American parents play video games, according to the Entertainment Software Association (ESA). What's more, 82% do it together with their kids.
There's an Instagram page that is all about the fun part of being a dad and a gamer – "The Dad Gaming." So, if you're a parent and like to relax in front of the screen taking out zombies or planning world domination in an RPG, these funny posts might just be for you!

It’s like that one shirt I have that says “I’m not procrastinating, I’m doing side quests”
The two big game changers for acceptable retirement home living are video games and legal weed 😝
All your passwords have been used, try one that you haven't used before, oh you can't remember what hasn't happened yet. Poor stupid human.
Currently doing this. Game update actually forced instant use of this resource most of the time. I can't help feeling it's because of me...
The fact you called it a "boring story" means you have much to learn, young one.
Children have minds open to new learning, and a tablet is a perfect example of a soft learning opportunity, where mistakes are free and carry no long-term penalty. There was once a phrase "You've blotted your copy-book" - meaning a permanent mistake that can never be erased or forgotten. Fortunately, today's youngsters have no word for this, and need none. They learn faster and deeper as a result, since fear has ben removed from the equation.
My kids's dad would just set the baby in the bouncer next to him. When they got big enough to hold the controller, they "played" with him. Now the kids are 12 and 7, and gaming time is family time for them.
School is for them to realise they're separate from you, making their own way in the world. When your kid goes into school for that first morning, they will never totally return. That's why you were crying when it happened.
Oh, I maxed the right stats. Starting with programming abilities ....
And listening to tunes while doing it, clearly! No goofing off here
Years ago, my mum brought my brother and I a Nintendo 64 for Christmas. What she didn't tell us until a year ago when my brother is in his late twenties and I'm in my early thirties, was that she had the thing for six months prior to Christmas Day, just so she could play Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Oh, I'm always doing this. I cannot count the number of times I've been acing Fallout 4 when I hear that key in the front door and I've done absolutely nothing. So, I have to hurriedly turn the console off and try to look busy. Never works.
We didn't. It was the Lord of The Rings film franchise and then Game of Thrones. It's almost as if we beat Hollywood at its own game....
Using Homelander for that makes it seem like the op is either cheating or such a bad loser that the kids feel compelled to let him win though
I wish now, 30 years later, that I have the time each day which I used to spend gaming
I gamed with my dad growing up. It's one of my fondest memories of my childhood. He didn't react well at all when later on I repeatedly kicked his backside at Doom, though.
My kids and their dad play Xbox most evenings. When they're with me, we play tabletop games together. It's great together time!
Load More Replies...My kids and I used to play Crash Bandicoot on Christmas morning as a tradition. Until they got a bit older. Then it was CounterStrike for a few years, lol.
My bf has many a times brought a game on his ps5 saying it's for me when he knows I'm no good at horror games example being phasmophobia
Reminds me of the Simpsons when Homer bought Marge a bowling ball lol
