We need more of these benches, please.

Any time the homeless try to make a "home" on the streets and doing their best people b***h about it. Where are they supposed to go? A lot of folks are homeless due to Covid, losing their jobs, their homes and some have all 3. Anyone living paycheck to paycheck could be out on the street's at anytime. We need to figure out what to do.

What a great idea I know a lot of people have issues with the homeless but they are human beings just like the rest of us. Many of these people have mental health problems or just can't find a place in society. Remember some have left abusive home lives and be patient, if you offer a drink such as coffee tea or soup especially in the cold winter months. I worked in heath care for most of my working life and have heard so many tragic stories.

Despicable that this even has to exist.

And so many people complain about the homeless sleeping out in public places. Meanwhile, they need a place to rest too. Aren't their lives difficult enough without making things inaccessible?

Thx for caring..the evil people who thought spikes were a good idea should be forced to live outside for a day!

That is incredibly kind. Some homeless people won't always accept receiving aid in a shelter for a number of reason, so this at least offers them a temporary shelter.

Compassionate idea but I wish we didn't have a homeless problem to begin with, esp the amount of Military Homeless Veterans in our area...

I think the better idea would be to make more affordable housing for people, but this works for a little while. I don’t think anyone’s looking at the bigger picture or the long haul. The economy is currently not getting any better in the United States and we don’t have any options for these people that are on the streets.

this instead of antihuman architecture. Being homeless is so traumatising because society treats us like actual *vermin* rather than human beings that are suffering.

Much better than the original benches; should be installed all over the world..

I live in a Nordic country with a very solid and well funded social support system. There is *no* reason to be homeless. None. We have people going around helping homeless people to get the right help, get them papers, get them a place to stay. Still, some just don't want the help. Well then you're not welcome to sleep off your hangover on the park benches. I won't allow you to urinate in my metro station and you don't get to panhandle to buy booze and drugs. I know I'll get downvoted to oblivion for this, but well, so be it. Somewhere, we need to draw a line as a society. If we offer you all the chances in life and you're too stubborn to take them, pick up your trash bag and go, you're not welcome here. I don't pay 60% in taxes so you can just live like gnat when you don't have to.
