2 days max of anything touching my body, and it has to be washed. Bed sheets get 1 week then have to be washed. The idea of the buildup of the shed skin cells, skin oils, sweat, odor... *shudders*. Maybe it's because I'm a super smeller, but I can't stand the smell of the clothing or my body after 2 days of not washing. Others can't smell it, but to me I reek like a hobo.

Exactly. Moving to France from the USA with its hustle culture was a huge game-changer for me. I believe I was jealous at first when I moved here because places I wanted to go were sometimes closed at hours that made sense for the employees but not always for ME (notice "me" in capital letters, coming from a society that is very "me"-based and not "us"-based). Now that I see how it works here, I understand that I am part of the community and that I need to make a few changes to fit into the culture, one that supports its citizenry and makes them happier people. This, in turn, makes ME happier. Ack, I can't explain myself very well - sorry.
