There was a sweet spot in the late 90s when practical effects, model building was coupled with restrained CGI to create some amazing results. Titanic is a great example of the blend. The effects still look better than many modern films.

I was a senior in highschool when this came out and every girl in my class was bragging about how many times they went to go see it at the theatre. You really had to be there at the age and the time to understand how popular that movie was. Naturally, I waited until it was on home release and watched it once. But I must have heard "My Heart Goes On" about a million times that year. Ahh memories.

However, isn’t it amazing how the U.S. was able to do a moon landing in the 1960’s and yet humans still cannot create robots to complete simplistic tasks? I’m the first admit I do not have any knowledge in this field, I am just amazed at how complex the moon landing was and yet mankind can’t achieve some smaller tasks.
