I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. The gist of the ".com bust" of the early 2000s was that investors were hungry to get a piece of the pie and eagerly put money behind anything with a flash ".com" presence, even if they didn't have a viable business model, or any sort of business model at all. Similarly, a lot of AI startups don't seem to have anything that could be defined as a marketable product.

This was an issue several years ago on both Boeing 787 and Airbus A350s. The main problem was a failure of the paint primer. If a chip developed it could result in peeling that would expose the underlying wing structure to excessive amounts of UV radiation at altitude. The solution was to put some aircraft tape over the chip until the wing could be repainted.
