Fun fact; Benzaldehyde is present in Toluene based explosives, so if you get an unexpected parcel that smells of marzipan, it could be an iced cake or a b**b.

In 1937 the Peel Commission sets out the partition of the region into the Nation of Israel and the Arab Palestinian territories. In 1947 UN Resolution 181 is passed and the nation of Israel is formed. In 1947 the Palestine War stars against the British and the British relinquish control of the region now known as Palestine. Following this, the Arab coalition attacked Israel. Since then there has been constant conflict in the region between Israel who wish for the region to remain a Jewish homeland and the Arab nations who wish to once again return the area to Arab control and exile the Jews.

Pure cyanide is absolutely odorless. The smell many people believe is cyanide is actually benzaldehyde, which is primarily responsible for the aroma of marzipan. It's also known as the bitter almond smell. It's good to be aware of a bitter almond odor, but if it always indicated cyanide you couldn't eat marzipan or use almond extract.

In 66 BCE the Jews launch an unsuccessful revolt against the Romans. Following this the whole region was renamed Syria Palestine, and Jerusalem was renamed Aelina Capitolina and the Jews were once again exiled from their homeland. By 400 CE the region has become a Christian majority after centuries of oppression of the remaining Jews. In 638 the region is conquered by Muslims under the command of Umar Ibn Al Khattab. From 691 until 1099 the Muslims control the region and the Jews and Christians are largely exiled. In 1099 the Christian Crusaders control the region but only briefly as Muslim rule is re-established and lasts until 1882. In 1882 the Jewish diaspora start to return to their ancestral homeland. In 1917 the Balfour Declaration sets the framework for the establishment of a national home for the Jewish people. In 1920 the San Remo agreement is signed giving Britain control of the region and making further steps in the establishment of a Jewish nation.

This is a brief history of the region called Palestine, which as been well documented. In 1050 BCE the Kingdom of Israel is formed. In 722-720 BCE, the Kingdom of Israel, is conquered by Assyria, forcing the Jewish inhabitants into exile into the southern regions and the Kingdom of Judah, which includes the region now known as Palestine, is formed. In 586 BCE, the Kingdom of Judah was conquered by Babylonia resulting in the partial destruction of Jerusalem and all its temples. The jews in Judah were then exiled to Babylonia. In 583 BCE, following the declaration of Cyrus, the Jews return to Judah and Jerusalem and it's temples are rebuilt. The area once again is populated by a Jewish majority. The Kingdoms of Judah and Israel are reunited. In 332 BC, the unified kingdom of Israel is invaded and conquered by Alexander the Great and the area falls under Greek rule. From 166 BCE the Jews rebel against Greek rule and eventually the land reverts to Jewish rule once again. Then in 63 BCE, the Romans invade.

Your ignorance. is getting in the way of a few facts though. The region that is now Gaza was for many centuries settled exclusively by Jews. It has nothing to do with imaginary friends but documented history. Israel does not want the elimination of the Arabs living in they just want the elimination of Hamas, a terrorist organisation. In terms of reap what you sow, that works both ways, the Jews were driven out of what is now called Palestine by the Arab invaders who are the ancestors of the people now living in Palestine.
