Lainey Molnar's art becomes the canvas for reflecting society, portraying the modern woman’s journey in a world pulsating with diverse narratives. The artist fearlessly navigates through the pressures that women face daily. With her thought-provoking comics, she challenges the norms and celebrates honest womanhood.

The illustrations serve as a fun yet profound exploration of various topics, from traditional expectations to contemporary dialogues around feminism, body image, abortion, mental health, social stereotypes, relationships, etc.

Overall, each girl can relate to Lainey Molnar's comics, as the artist aims to inspire and empower women. Would you like to know more about the artist and look at some feminine-inspired illustrations? You are at the right place, so we better start, shall we?

Who Is Lainey Molnar?

According to the web search results, Lainey Molnar's real name is Lainey D. Molnár. She is a Hungarian living in Amsterdam, Netherlands. As social media doesn't reflect reality nowadays, Lainey successfully spreads social messages through her Instagram. Lainey began posting her art on Instagram in October 2019.

Eventually, she stepped away from social media due to persistent online harassment. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she began sharing the signature drawings she became known for. Some were portraits of people like Meghan Markle, Lady Gaga, and Emma Watson. Best known for her comics, Lainey is also a motivational speaker, owning her online course Soul Sister Academy

Furthermore, a Lainey Molnar meme was created, the Laineyball. It’s an exploitable meme character based on Lainey Molnar. 4chan, the popular image board community, was the platform where it went viral. Laineyball and 4chan users intend to annoy the author by making it more popular than the original comic.

I have a PhD, work full time at a university as as scholar and project manager and also work in a café/bar on weekends (just because I enjoy the company and change of scenery; scholars can be really dull). It*s really amusing how SOME people treat me differently, depending on the context. Helps determine who is cool and who is not. Moral? Always treat others with respect

What’s The Creative Process Behind Lainey Molnar Comics?

The artist told Bored Panda she has a miles-long list of illustration ideas on her phone: “I sometimes literally wake up in the middle of the night to write down new ones, and I grab my phone to make notes at any point when I see something inspiring.”

When she sits down and draws that idea from the list, she finds it resonates with the moment. As Lainey sometimes loves to binge-watch TV shows while drawing, she says: “Still, usually, I like to create an ambiance, like candles, incense, and good music, because I believe the vibes and emotions also go into every artwork.”

    Is Lainey Molnar Art Personal?

When asked whether she has any personal favorites from her illustrations, Lainey said it’s the one where she compares “someone with physical health struggles” and “someone with mental health struggles.”

The artist shared that this is because it’s a very personal one. Lainey admits she struggled with her mental health for over 18 years. So, she is the one who knows how complicated it can be living with this invisible illness.

Even though Lainey usually explores female empowerment topics straightforwardly or funnily, the artist also adds, “Still, at the end of the day, we are all simply human beings. I find it crucial to address stigmatized topics because it gives so many of us relief to know that we aren't alone.”

What Motivates Modern Women Like Lainey?

Motivation and creative block are some of the most crucial topics for all modern women, especially artists. Lainey hasn’t had to experience creative block very often. The illustrator claims she simply has too much to say: “In an ideal world, a lot of what I’m communicating would be obvious, but as we’re not there yet, I don't mind processing the same pain points over and over again via a visual medium.”

Lainey is thrilled about the feedback she gets, as she says it’s “overwhelmingly positive.” Of course, that would drive any artist’s self-esteem, right? So, Lainey’s case is also not an exception, as she finds feedback as an endless source of motivation.

    What Influences Lainey’s Art?

Artists like Adam Ellis, Tiny Moron, and Wowocomics inspire Lainey. She says: “They all have very different styles and a very different sense of humor, but I think it always comes down to personality that shines through the art, so there is space for all unique creators to show how they perceive the world.”

Looking at these artists from Lainey’s perspective, she values vision and purpose over technical skills such as anatomy or shading.

The first lady with the markings on her legs (which I think are either scars or stretch marks) looks like she has tiger markings on her legs, and it’s kind of cool! The second lady looks like she’s a pirate who just kept her leg from being a peg leg, and that’s pretty awesome! Third lady looks like she’s ready to hit the karaoke stage or the dance floor at a pool party and look at amazing while belting out an terrific song at the same time! What awesome portrayals of ladies! No matter what size, color hue, race, age, or anything else, every lady, andevery human being, on the entire planet is beautifully and amazingly perfect the way they are!

It's not wrong to care about people enough to wish they'd lose weight so they can live long, healthy lives. Our bodies were not designed to carry all of that weight and while you might not be suffering any health issues because of it when you're young, you 100% will. Our hearts, joints, muscles, skeletons are not designed for that amount of weight. And when you have that much fat around the middle, you have visceral fat, meaning your internal organs are encased in thick, heavy fat that squeezes them to death. Body positivity should be about loving all shapes and natural sizes - not promoting morbid obesity.

It is wrong to harass people with unsolicited health advice. You think fat people don't *know* they're fat? In what way is it helpful to make me feel like I can't leave the house without being covered with a sack so the delicate eyes of the 'normal' people don't have to be offended by my hideous body? Because that is *exactly* the message that gets sent. And telling fat people how 'worried' you are about them justs makes us feel worse about ourselves. Then I go and eat my emotions. Because how do you think I got fat? Severe emotional damage! Oh, and don't forget genetics. Because it's a lot easier for some people to gain weight than others. I know I speak for a lot of fat people when I say that we don't want your 'worry.' Just let us and our doctors worry about it. Sending the message that our bodies aren't worthy of love until they fit some future shape that they may *never* fit is one of the most toxic things I can think of.

Everyone ofcourse can wear a bikini, but that doesn't mean others have to find you beautiful and sexy in a bikini. If you force people to accept that you are sexy and beautiful no matter how you look you are entitled!

But what if the purpose of wearing a bikini has nothing to do with being sexy to everyone else? What if you're just a person who wants to wear a two piece, and what if being just that--a person, is all you're aiming for??

Being overweight is unhealthy as hell people die. We should not normalize it. I had friends die because they just didn't care what anyone thought...... obesity IS deadly. Id rather have them here that people cheering them to the grave.😡

Being overweight and unhealthy is bad. Being underweight and unhealthy is also bad. Everyone should work on being healthy, regardless of their weight. We should normalize being healthy, not standardize weight. Weight does not determine health and everyone's "ideal" weight is different, based on genetics (similar to height). On a related not - both short and tall people should also focus on being healthy, as well as those of average height :)

I definitely do not have a beach body, so I just avoid the beach. In all honesty the 2nd and 3rd examples are not attractive. I am sorry. Im sure I will get hated for it but its the truth. I am happy that there are people out there who don't care and feel comfy in their skin, but this is not even healthy.

Firstly, women are more than whether or not they are "attractive" to you or anyone else. Wearing a swimsuit shouldn't be contingent on that factor. Secondly, a person's personal journey in health shouldn't determine what type of swimsuit they wear either. Being overweight may be a symptom of many issues, and where that person is in dealing with appetite, cravings, and energy shouldn't be of anyone else's concern--let alone someone so lazy to just see it at first sight and make a knee-jerk, easy comment on it. It's complicated, nuanced, and theirs. It's not yours.

    What's Up With Lainey Molnar?

One of Lainey’s most significant projects was releasing a book Mating in Captivity: Reconciling the Erotic and the Domestic. As she has worked in publishing and was a blogger for more than a decade, the artist claims herself as a “huge bookworm.” Hence, captions in Laine’s art play an equal role as the illustrations themselves.

Daily, she shares her art with her one million followers on her Instagram. Lainey keeps her comics consistent, exploring the same social topics and keeping an authentic style, as she claims: “I really hope that I can create something magical that will help women be happier and more liberated from societal expectations.”

Exactly! I've always thought those lights were terrible! Isn't that a marketing fail? I'd guess it would be smarter to use flattering lights ( and mirrors) so you look good, think the garment you're trying is also flattering and therefore buy the garment. If I look awful I'm definitely not prone to buy it...

The baby monitor is facing the wrong way. And you probably shouldn't balance electronics on the side of the tub. And books in the bath?!?!?!? Oh the humidity! But yeah, it's on point.

I hate when jeans do no.5. And a different size is always too small. Bigger ≠ taller.

I have hypothyroidism. It doesn't matter how healthy I eat or how much I work out, I'm going to be plus-sized; yet people have no problem judging me as lazy, slobbish, whatever based on how I look.

One of the defining aspects of good plastic surgery is that you can't tell it's not natural. So plastic surgery has a bad reputation overall because people only see the botched ones.
