This used to be a thing 50-60 years ago in Eastern bloc countries. Stores had a very limited quantity of items like electronics, so people were sometimes camping in front of stores, as they hoped to be one of the first lucky ones to purchase before the item sold out. I'm pretty sure that western media used it as example of "appalling living conditions in the east". But look, people in 2024 do this to save a few dollars. Ridiculous.

I've seen them like this. Usually can be found on the back, in a low corner. It is done when stores operate in different regions, by different names, but really are the same entity.
