A guy goes to the pet store and buys a parrot -- a guaranteed talker. When they get home, he lets the bird out of its cage. The bird attacks him! The guy grabs the parrot by the feet, sticks it in the trashcan, and puts the lid on. The bird is cussing and having a fit. The guy says, "If you behave, I'll let you out." Parrot calms down, and man lets it out. The bird immediately attacks him again. The guy puts it in a cabinet and shuts the door. The bird's cussing and screaming. The guy says, "Behave, and I'll let you out." Bird calms down, guy opens the cabinet, and the bird attacks him. He grabs the bird for the third time, and shoves it into the freezer and slams the door. The bird cussed and screams, but then suddenly stops. The guy yanks the freezer door open, scared he's killed the bird. The bird hops out of the freezer, and says, "I'm very sorry, Sir." It hops into the man's shoulder, and gives him a kiss on his cheek. "I promise I'll be good from now on. I just have one question, Sir. What did the chicken do?"

Cursed images, as a genre, first popped up on the internet around 2015. Ever since then, they’ve become the focus point of lots of social media accounts that are exclusively dedicated to documenting and (re)sharing them.
Cursed content, often seen as the complete opposite of ‘blessed’ memes, generally depicts somewhat disturbing things. These pics are, more often than not, low-quality, which adds to the eerie atmosphere.

The Instagram account first saw the (digital) light of day way back in late 2016. Over the past 7+ years, the curator running @cursed.pic has attracted a following of 27.5k followers. It just goes to show that there’s a niche for practically everything and anything on social media. As it turns out, there are plenty of folks who enjoy getting their daily dose of cursed images.

Back in the 80's, I ate at a "McCheaper's" in Switzerland, lol. My gf, a nurse, bought a Swiss watch - a Swatch Jellyfish. The doctors she worked with gave her a lot of grief for going to Switzerland and buying a cheap plastic see-through watch. Then Swatch became a "thing." If she hadn't worn it so much and it hadn't been stolen during a burglary, it would actually be worth a fair amount of money, like 25 times what she paid for it..

I didn't even notice the extra arm at first; I just assumed it was cursed because it was Dr. Phil
However, let’s not be naive either. Sure, there are plenty of cursed meme fans out there in the world. They like unconventional, creepy, out-of-the-box content that’s more confusing than it is enlightening.
It’s this same lack of context that pushes other social media users away. They prefer their memes to be simple, clear, and with a couple of lines of funny and relatable text.

So, while some peeps enjoy playing a guessing game about what exactly they see in cursed and contextless images, others feel exasperated. Or, to put it more simply, they do not ‘get’ the memes. And that’s perfectly okay. It’d be a very boring world indeed if absolutely everyone only ever liked the same types of memes.

Luckily, there’s enough content out there, in the far reaches of the internet, for all senses of humor. From absurd and unconventional memes to dad jokes and everything in between. Over the years, people find themselves accidentally stumbling across entirely new subgenres of humor that they had no clue even existed.
With people’s sense of humor changing and evolving with every new generation, you can expect a lot more weirdness in the future.

Aside from the fun of guessing the story behind each picture, cursed content also draws people in with its sheer bizarreness. Whether we like to admit it or not, many of us are drawn in by spooky, creepy, weird, and unusual stuff. These sorts of images give us a dollop of novelty and make us feel slightly uncomfortable.
There’s a certain macabre fascination at play here. And if you’re skeptical, consider how many of your friends enjoy true crime shows and podcasts, or horror movies. It’s the same logic.

At the same time, you can’t post images and memes that are completely random. Sure, randomness is funny to a certain extent. However, memes are, by definition, meant to go viral. You can’t do that if you don’t make the image and the message relatable… at least on some level.
There needs to be something about the pic that stands out and resonates with the viewer. Even a short comment left by a curator can help the content creator connect with their audience.

Yeah but those are made by hand or machine, not by a chicken. Square eggs could be made just the same. Only without shell. You can do it at home, too. There are molds, where you can put a freshly boiled egg into and let it cool. Then, when you get it out again, it will have the desired shape. I have a heart, a car and a bunny mold at home.

This particular goat was a nanny goat (female) rescued by a farm/rescue/performing-space for bands. She was handed off to the farm from a milking factory, because it was cheaper for the factory than sending her out for slaughter. She lived on the farm and never toured with any groups, although the pictured group (Wormrot) later dedicated a song to her. So, while you are correct that this goat is famous, all your facts are a bit off XD The goat died in 2013 or 2014.

Google, Facebook, Amazon, etc have had direct access to any and all communications, locations, voice recording etc of the vast majority of the American population for sometime now. They probably know when people are planning a mass shooting, on the way to commit it, storm the capital, and any and all other heinous acts that will cause far reaching negativity all while doing nothing. No warnings, nothing that could in really real way prevent atrocities from happening. (Not counting the nsa, cis, fbi, etc., etc.) Think of the CHILDREN who will be forced to carry their rapists baby to term in states that ban abortion and one of the aforementioned entities could have prevented or helped the child get the healthcare they need legally, but instead will be happy to help arrest, prosecute, try, sentence, and incarcerate not only the child but any other person who helps that child. America is f****d.

I'm thinking it looks more like a hazing situation. All these guys look pretty well fed and clear skinned for torture victims. And dressing up in devils' costumes is pretty campy for your average torture session. Plus they've all got the same haircuts. I'm going with some sort of stupid initiation ritual.
