Little Boy’s Dreams Come True With the Help of Photography

A 12-year-old boy Luca suffers from muscular dystrophy, a disease that over time makes his body weaker and weaker. He can only move his fingers and therefore is only capable of moving about in his electric wheelchair. Luckily, Luca’s physical incapability is not an obstacle for his wild and playful nature. And this is where Slovenian photographer Matej Peljhan comes in handy, and makes his dreams come true.

Every time he looks up, Thomas sees a potential canvas where the building rooftops frame the sky. He photographs it and uses the odd sky shapes to create whimsical line drawings.

Photorealistic 3D Paintings of Sea Creatures by Keng Lye

The work of Singapore-based artist Keng Lye could easily pass for some nice photos of sea life – except that they’re not photos, but three dimensional photorealistic paintings! Keng achieves the 3d effect similarly to 3d printer – he pours a layer of resin into a bowl and paints it with acrylics, layer by layer revealing more and more of each creature. His painting technique is almost the same as Riusuke Fukahori’s, but Keng found a new twist to it – he made his creations protrude from the surface.

What Happens When You Throw Some Glow Sticks into a Waterfall

What may look like an example of Photoshop trickery was actually created by throwing some high powered glow sticks into the waterfalls of California. Using long exposure that would range from 30 seconds to 7 minutes, San Francisco-based photographers Sean Lenz and Kristoffer Abildgaard transformed the waterfalls into nocturnal underwater rainbows.
