Just like we don't eat gourmet dishes for every meal, we don't dress up for every occasion as if it had a black-tie dress code. Sometimes we just need calories in our stomachs and sweatpants might be the ideal candidate for stuffing our faces with mac and cheese.
However, some clothing items are so off, you probably wouldn't even wear them if nobody was watching. We at Bored Panda have already showcased such atrocities in our previous publications here, here, and here, but the fashion industry keeps producing them, so we decided to shame them one more time.

Yeah, my husband was astonished when I showed him why I don't carry my phone around in my front pocket. "But that's stupid" he commented. Err, yes, thank you Captain Obvious. I know he believed me that our pockets are lacking or rubbish, but actually seeing irl the difference between how much easier it made his life to shove his phone in his front pocket (with room to spare!) compared to how ridiculous it would be to try and even walk with mine in my front packet really brought it home to him.
I watched one of those bridal gown shows once and the woman asked for pockets to keep at least a tissue at hand. The guy answered "But we don't want to look impolite with our hands in our pickets in front of the altar, that's not ladylike" and I had to resist the urge to drive there and slap him. The "we", like he was talking to an unruly child, the assumption she wouldn't be able to behave herself, everything about that is the real reason women don't get to have pockets. He also talked about how it would ruin her silhouette and that she could always ask her husband for what she might need. ARGH

It's been several years or longer that women have been complaining about pockets. And nothing has changed.
I have been known to aggressively shout "IT HAS POCKETS" when I'm wearing a dress or jeans with pockets in them.
The pockets are made that way so the jeans don't add bulk. I hate clothes that don't have pockets. I found night gowns with pockets at Walmart with a nice stretchy material. They don't look glamorous but they are comfortable.
As believe and hence proved, garment manufacturers do this intentionally to promote the sale of ladies handbags.
I'm pretty sure my sweatpants have pockets too...which is what this show compares a pair of sweatpants to a pair of jeans put that phone in the baby's jeans it would in no way be even half the width of that phone
I've found most women's pants pockets to be short but wide. The pocket goes in towards the zipper so my phone fits sideways in my pocket.

Though, in this case, those jeans are very close-fitting. They're not going to put large pockets in garments that are near skin tight because they will make lumps under the fabric. It doesn't excuse the general lack of pockets, of course.
They should still make proper pockets anyway. It should be up to the wearer to decide if they rather keep them flat and empty or lumpy and functional.
