And they’d still be billionaires and could live lavishly for the rest of their lives while the minimum wage employees suffer the brunt. They all have so much money they don’t need any form of income but they keep it anyway because they’re greedy. The only way they would stop being billionaires is if they were taxed appropriately or decided to do something decent and help others with their money. But they wouldn’t. Because once they have everything they want, they can only find joy in taking away from other people.

Yeah, so I can't go to Amazon. Cool, actuallly, I could almost stop buying from them. I say "could", because I live in a big city with a lot of shops. But then - food. Where do I get that from? Yes, I can get my potatoes from a farmers market. Again, I can, because they exist and I can afford it. What about those who can't? So, I don't buy from evil Nestle. Hell, even the list of brands that I'm not allowed to buy now would be pages long. And that goes for other evil companies. and banks supporting bad causes, but also lending to my local book shop, so I can't use that book shop either, right? It's easy to say "just don't" - how about you do it yourself and then write an article here to teach us how to do it?

Customer sales only account for a fraction of a billionaires wealth. Most of it is "valuation" through stock holdings and perceived value. They make a product or service that people like, and they become more wealthy than other people. Okay. But then they pay their employees, who do the actual work, as little as they can get away with. They get together with their money and lobby the government to keep wages and taxes low, and create loopholes. They sit on each other's company boards and determine how little they can pay their workers. They lay off workers and the stock value of the company goes up, so they become more wealthy. They leverage their wealth with loans and insulate themselves from financial failures by creating shell companies that dissolve and pay pennies on the dollar for debts. They own or invest in apartment buildings that raise the rents every year--outpacing the rate of wage increases. They create offshore accounts and investments. They hoard the wealth they have.

Very true. Same with co2 and plastic pollution. We can't solely blame corporations when we give them our business willingly. But we can ALSO blame them.

You guys do realize that most pharmaceutical companies are not US centric right? The majority of the large ones are global conglomerates. As much as I loathe the orange b******d even HE couldn’t change where and whom receives the meds.

Surprisingly quite a lot now are thanks to a foundation set up by George W Bush- often pilloried in the press, he is still light years ahead of the current POTUS.
