I was born in Siberia. Yes we did this except my parents had a portable uv light emitter and did it themselves. It's 6 months winter light only 10am to 4pm then darkness the other 18hrs of the day and blizzards and overcast during the 6 hrs light. No sun.

Mine not funny, but heartwarming. My now wife was sleeping at my appartment and we've only been together for a few months, maybe half a year. We were very much in love. She was talking in her sleep and sounded a bit worried. To I told her, don't worry everything's ok and there's no danger. Still sleeping, she then answered, no not everything is ok. I'm at the airport and Bas (me) is not there. So i replied, i'm sure he'll show up or come later, it'll be fine. On which she answered, but can you then please tell him that I love him. On which I answered, ow that is so sweet but I'm sure Bas knows. And she answered, no no, you have to tell him. It's very important that he knows. That was the end of that conversation, but years later it still warms my heart.
