I heard an English lady tell of how, in the late 1960s, the theatre/dance hall her dad ran booked David Bowie's band for a night. Only David turned up, the rest ofthe band bailed. But David went on, and did a whole show on his own. Afterwards the dad/manager paid David and said he had real talent and should get manager. David asked 'would you like to manage me?'. Dad/manager said thanks, but no thanks. And his daughter never let him forget that he turned down David Bowie.

Look I love this movie I have the record soundtrack and the dvd ok I may be 12 but I love things from the 80s we are not all idiots

I love this film, I sometimes put it on and watch with my 9yr old, love Jennifer and David.

I think I appreciated this movie even more in later years. What they accomplished in the days of almost no CG was pretty impressive.

I must have watched this a thousand times.

This is one of my fave movies of all time. Love love loved Bowie as the Goblin King.
