“Turning Back Time”: 50 Incredible Transformations From People Who Went Under The Knife To Change How They Look
A few countries have built themselves recognition (even infamy) for their brand of cosmetic surgery. Koreans have K-Beauty, Colombia has become a go-to for liposuction, and Brazil has its own buttocks-enhancement procedure.
Recently, Turkey climbed up that list through its plastic surgery methods, which have grown in global popularity over recent years. If you’re unfamiliar with the outcomes of such operations, here are some photos for you to check out.
These before-and-after pictures show how starkly different a person can look after undergoing the procedures. Scroll through and be mesmerized.

Our lovely patient from Germany achieved her dream of turning back time with a Deep Plane Full Face and Neck Lift.
This is the usual before-after nonsense: different lighting, different hair style, different angle. Can you see the difference? Yeah, in the first photo she isn't smiling and in the second photo she is. Amazing!
From childhood, he faced the challenges of a short face and Class 2 malocclusion—a condition that not only affected the aesthetics of his facial structure but also led to issues with jaw closure and a small airway.
As he grew older, the time came to take the next step: orthognathic surgery. The goal was clear—to improve not just his facial aesthetics but also his airway function and the health of his temporomandibular joints.
We performed bimaxillary surgery, carefully aligning his upper and lower jaws. Six months later, to further enhance both his airway and his overall appearance, we completed the process with genioplasty.
Short face also causes severe sleep apnea and it can't be fixed with a chin implant but re-aligning the lower jaw more forwards. This will bettter not only patient's aesthetics but also their health considerably.
Rhinoplasty.
Before: Pretty girl; unfortunate nose. After: Lesser beauties have launched ships! 😳 Holy mackerel!
As far as I can tell from the photos, I'd say that, just for once, this woman was justified in wanting the surgery.
The popularity of Turkish plastic surgery has also benefited the country’s economy. In 2022, Turkey’s global medical tourism market was reportedly valued at $14 billion. According to Aktif International Hospital in Istanbul, the government also offers packages that combine medical care with “unique cultural experiences.”
Midface and temple lift, lip lift with fat injection, and upper/under blepharoplasty.
Our main goal in rhinoplasty: a natural, nose that matches all proportions of the face.
She looked so exotic before. Why did she get a nose job she didn't need it.
Through rhinoplasty surgery, the nose structure of our patient was shaped to match her facial lines.
He/she whatever!!! Doesn’t look like the same person - I’m saying this is a 2 person / 2 different picture deal* IMO
He was handsome even in the left-hand pic. It's a shame you don't think he was handsome with his natural nose. Note that I have no issue with people who want rhinoplasty due to a large/bumped nose, as that is what THEY want, but he's not "hideous" with his natural nose.

“While a breast augmentation in the U.S. may cost around $6,000 to $12,000, the same procedure in Turkey might only cost $3,000 to $5,000,” Dr. Schrieber wrote in an article for his website, adding that the potential savings can easily attract people.
Deep-plane facelift surgery has a shorter recovery time. This technique ensures long-lasting results. The surgery takes an average of 6 hours.
I hate to inform you, but time - as we perceive it - runs only one way: forward. And once you reach a certain age, legitimate, ethical plastic surgeons will NOT operate on you due to the risks of you dying on the table. Source: many appts with legitimate, ethical plastic surgeons who refused to operate on my mother once she hit 78+ years old sue to said risks.
Load More Replies...Not sure it was after weight loss - my mom is 82 and obese and has the same neck in the left-hand picture XD
Load More Replies...After several failed surgeries and severe necrosis, the columella was completely lost her nose. Just 1 week after reconstructive rhinoplasty — a new beginning takes shape.
We don't know where the first surgeries were done. Perhaps in her home country, which could be anywhere.
Load More Replies...Speaking to the cultural experience, Dr. Schrieber explains that Turkey packages it as a “medical vacation” to help individuals feel enjoyment about the procedure they are about to undergo. At the same time, it amplifies the excitement of getting the body they’ve always wanted.
Dr. Schrieber adds that many clinics in Turkey are likewise savvy with their marketing, promising top-notch care and impressive results courtesy of some of the world’s best surgeons.
Vickie underwent:
Endoscopic style brow lift for a refreshed upper face.
An extended deep plane facelift for a robust and durable restoration of her face.
Deep neck lift with partial removal of submandibular glands to restore the youthful neck definition she desired.
Full facial fat grafting with stromal cells to enhance contours and improve skin quality.
Lip lift to balance her facial features even more.
Lower blepharoplasty to soften the transition between her lower eyelids and cheeks.
Full facial laser resurfacing, because aging face requires a holistic approach
A lotta these, their friends prolly enter their houses and say, “Hi! I’m Olga. And you are …?” And then when they hear laughter, it dawns on them and their jaws drop. Everyone on here is just as good as Paul Nasser does.
Chin Implant has refined the facial structure, offering a more harmonious and sculpted look. The result? A confident and striking profile!
I performed a deep plane facelift, a deep neck lift, a temporal lift, upper and lower blepharoplasty, and a buccal fat removal on her.
Turkey has a reputation for world-class medical expertise. Many of their doctors are trained by some of the best educators at prestigious institutions in Europe and the United States, such as the Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, and Charité. The country’s healthcare system is likewise top-notch.
Many of their doctors hold certifications from globally renowned organizations like the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), which is a testament to their credibility.
3 years post op.
Is that even the same person? She also got something done for her chin.
Looks like the same person to me. The description doesn't list what was done; she definitely could have had multiple procedures beyond the more-obvious rhinoplasty.
Load More Replies...She had to look at her face every day. If this makes her happy, I’m glad she got it done. :)
Load More Replies...His right (our left) ear is in more than the other. I wish they said what they had done.
Facelift. I think the ear difference is just the angle of the head
Load More Replies...If you’re someone living abroad, Turkey’s packages become more enticing. Most clinics offer all-inclusive packages that include pre-operative consultations (video call if necessary), accommodation in upscale hotels, and transportation, in addition to the surgery and post-operative care.
They rid patients of the need to deal with logistical hassles, which would be difficult to pass up for potential overseas clients.
Full Facial Rejuvenation with a Periorbital ( Around the Eye) Focus.
7 Months Postoperative
Facelift, neck lift and blepharoplasty – a complete facial rejuvenation journey.
Nothing wrong with aging beautifully. She was beautiful before.
Load More Replies...Reversing the effects of permanent fillers and rigorous steroid treatments.
She underwent two sessions of microfat grafting enriched with mechanically processed stromal vascular fraction (the stem-cell-rich portion of fat). This was combined with:
•Two sessions of CO2 laser
•Multiple rounds of microneedling to address skin atrophy
•Radiofrequency subcision
I had no idea permanent fillers could cause such terrible scarring. That's awful.
There aren’t any approved permanent fillers, are there? So far as I know, “permanent fillers” means garbage like industrial-grade silicone, cement, cooking grease, and all those other horrible things unqualified people inject in their basements. I’m thinking of Priscilla Presley and that (is she Filipina?) former beauty queen.

Her transformation included an extended deep plane facelift and neck lift with midface modification.
Our dear patient had a full face rejuvenation recently. This is her 10-week post-bariatric facial rejuvenation surgery.
Rhinoplasty procedure. After 4 months.
Rhinoplasty.
I am suspicious about this transformation. Her neck appears to have been elongated. A warning to me that the right photo has been 'shopped'. Also, it's all 'too perfect.'
This makes me sad. She was so pretty. Now she looks like someone you read about dying in Dubai.
That’s a unique perspective to have, BeesEelsAndPups. I think she looks fantastic and, better yet, more confident in the “after picture”.

She was beautiful before. After photo she just looks insta influencer
People these days don't understand what beautiful is.

I think BP's AI censors thought it was the word "fáscíst" :x Which is terrifying because it clearly didn't scan the ACTUAL entire word!

Look closely at the neck :) The wattled appearance is significantly improved in the "after" photo.

Not always. Sometimes it's on the underside of the arm. It's less visible there - if one plans to wear tank tops, sleeveless tops, swimsuits, etc. post-op, they would not want the incision on the back of the arm as it would be far more visible. Usually the patient is given a choice of the incision's location. (I know this surgery well because my mother has gone to many, MANY plastic surgeons because she wants it done, but most refuse to work on her because of her age - 80+ - and her thin skin and her tendency to keloid.)
Load More Replies...They cut the skin, remove some of it, and then sew the remaining skin back together.

Most legitimate hair transplants are long-lasting, potentially lifelong. The transplanted hair MAY start to thin out again in old age (60-70 years old and up) due to natural follicle death around that age. Even that isn't guaranteed - the author Dean Koontz got a hair transplant a while ago, and he's currently 80 and the transplanted hair is still goin' strong! :D
Load More Replies...What happens to the area of 'natural' hair behind the transplant if his hair carries on receding - does he have the new stuff at the front, the old stuff at the back and a bald stripe inbetween?
AFAIK they usually transplant some follicles into the "still thick at the time" hair area as well!
Load More Replies...Deep plane face and neck lift, postoperative 7 months.
Deep plane facelift, postoperative 3 years.
I must be missing something. She doesn't look all that different to me.
Endoscopic deep plane facelift, postoperative 18th day result.
I agree - she looks younger than me (43). But, if it makes her happy, I shan't criticize! XD
Load More Replies...6 months after surgery, the nose has refined beautifully.
This deals with the widow's peak, but I wonder whether it addresses male pattern baldness?
Hair transplant.
She had her overhanging upper eyelids removed and repaired. I'm not 100% sure, but she may have had epicanthic folds before.
Load More Replies...Facelift, neck lift with deep neck reduction, and lip lift brought harmony back to his profile and definition back to his jawline.
Here is 3 months after the Firatlift type 2 operation combined with rhinoplasty. With this procedure, we perform a full facial rejuvenation to patients who are still young, not desiring the full incisions in front of the ear or the hairline.
The second pic is like what all the instagram girlies look, it's like there would be only insta-dolly face mold in Turkey.
All of the left-hand photos in this article are from surgeries performed by Turkish surgeons in Turkey, so that's clearly specious and incorrect. It's the individual PERSON who asks for the features/face they want, not the surgeons forcing a "face mold" onto the patient.
Load More Replies...the rhinoplasty went very wrong with this one. so unnecessary too
You were not criticized for your opinion? I agree with you btw, just kinda afraid to say so.
Load More Replies...He obviously wasn't happy with his natural nose and wanted the surgery, so let's be happy that he's (hopefully) happy with his new nose.
Load More Replies...Face and neck lift, deep neck reduction.
Zero improvement. Looks angry with a more bulbous nose and more upper face and forehead lines.
I imagine she's happy with the results and probably doesn't care what we think XD
Load More Replies...It is possible to achieve the desired cervicomental angle with isolated neck lift in men. This procedure is not a liposuction. It requires removing the excess deep neck tissues(fat, gland, muscle) through submental and postauricular incisions and liftiing the lax platysma muscle.
The stunning four-month results of our beautiful patient, who underwent a secondary facelift, neck lift, and temporal browlift.
Pre-op. Eyelids are taped to prevent them from involuntarily opening during procedure.
Load More Replies...Jawline filler enhances the chin contour, giving you a younger, more symmetrical, and attractive appearance.
One, that's insulting and 2 it clearly isn't, a pug nose is much more severe
Load More Replies...Hair transplant.
Had to check the original post - he actually got a beard hair transplant (I was confused because his head hair on the left side looked fairly full/thick and didn't look like it was receding in the front.) I can see it better now - his facial hair is a bit thin and "scraggly"-looking in the left pic. Before passing judgement on someone getting a "beard transplant", please keep in mind that, in many cultures (and some religions), it is actually expected for the men to have beards, and they might be harassed, bullied, or even shunned if they have a thin/nonexistent beard. Even if this particular patient is not from one of those cultures/religions, HE clearly was not happy with his facial hair and WANTED to grow a beard, and now he can, which is wonderful :D
I was so confused, jokingly saying in my head 'beard transplant??' as I started reading yours.
Load More Replies...IMO it's sad that so many people feel that aging is a horrible thing that makes them ugly/hideous. However, I'm all for them getting surgery if it makes them feel happier and more satisfied with their looks!
So one day BP is (re)posting articles about people dying from botched plastic surgery done on the cheap in places foreign, the next they're happy to post a thinly-disguised advertising feature like this. And why is there no Poll option for "No, just no!"?
Some of these people got good results, a lot of these people got average results, and a lot of this is essentially trick photography. On the left their hair is pulled pack, the lighting is gross, were staring up their nostrils, and they're frowning. On the right they are smiling, their hair is playful, or in one case suddenly blonde... you get the idea. There a few things that should be pointed out. First, some people are just more naturally beautiful by mainstream standards. Some people just need a little help getting there, and then there is most of us, for whom no amount of work is ever going to do the trick. Some of these modifications are simple, like noses, because it's just cartilage, and some of it is serious surgery, like cutting, moving, and reshaping jaw bone. And if you keep going back for more, you end up looking weird. Doing it for purely cosmetic reasons is questionable.
Some amazing work. I have reservations about the turned-up noses, though. I don't believe they wear well. As you get older, they start to look more piggy than cute. As an older person, I don't recognize myself in the mirror any more. It's tempting to get some of that youth back.
I would love to get plastic surgery but, for me, I think it would be a waste of money for the small amount of time I’m left on this earth. :)
There is a lot of women here who are trying to look insta perfect and they were lovely to begin with, which is sad. But what do I know? I'm old! but I do know society would be a lot kinder if I looked younger, so I don't blame these women
