I was recently declined a medication by the evil empire insurance company until more proof of it being necessary was done. People, for this particular medication it can only be verified by my own sensations and perception, which I validated. It's not even that the health insurance tried to deny it, but all the people involved in that claims process were being paid for their time, by US, through insurance premiums, money that could have stayed in our pocket or instead used for future medical payments. That's something people often don't understand - that Americans ridiculous system has all these middle men that cost a lot of money. Very sad truth, but my mother needed to be flown to a different hospital. Her flight was delayed because our hospital only had manual-pump ventilators. They had to find a flight that could include an extra staff member just to pump the ventilator. I was absolutely appalled. I know that I live in a very rural and poverty-stricken area, but I honestly did not know that manual-pump ventilators were still in use anywhere. That my mom's life and care were dependent upon this was so revolting to me.

Body positivity does not mean you have to stay the weight you are. Body positivity is about realizing that there is beauty in every type of body instead of only the few that fit the 'beauty standard', that bodies are wonderful things that are about way more than how they look (how amazing is it that your body enables you to walk and dance and see and listen to music and have órgasms and taste food!), that you can love and celebrate your body regardless of how it looks, that people deserve respect regardless of how they look, that people are allowed to have an opinion regardless of their bodies. I was originally prescribed Ozempic for T2D. I had to switch to Mounjaro because of the shortage. The inconsistency of supply was very difficult for me to manage by glucose levels. By the time I got the Mounjaro approved, it was also affected by shortage. 🤷♀️

This story has been blown out of all proportion. People want you to believe a poor woman on food stamps baked a few cakes to earn a little cash on the side. She was running a business and defrauding the government. She was caught stealing $20,000 in total but was offered a deal where she admitted one count of stealing $1800. Had she taken the plea deal she would avoided jail entirely. But she refused and now she's going to court to face all the charges where she could be given a maximum of 10 years but in reality will get nowhere near that.

They applied the "percentage" part twice. 10% is 0.10, as they use, but then they try to convert it into a percentage again by dividing by 100. Either one on it's own would be fine, but together it results in a 0.1% raise instead of a 10% raise
