The woman is literally espousing the view of hardcore religious conservatives who believe that only men can be providers and have meaningful career goals, and that women are objects they get as rewards. Of course a normal man would walk away from that patriarchal “ideal”.

If anyone from the extreme right is reading this, let me try to explain. When the pendulum has been held on one side for so long, and is then released, it needs to swing quite far in the other direction at first. After a while, it will balance itself out. DEI *is* important right now because for most of modern history, those people have been ignored or shoved aside. So the representation is necessarily much stronger now, as they have not had any representation for so long. Eventually it will not be necessary to purposely insert those stories into our culture, because that will happen organically and without effort. Our society has started to accept this. Art (movies, TV, comics, games, etc.) just needs to catch up a bit.

This meme is totally missing the point. Cows aren’t pets to the Hindus, they are sacred animals. Very few people, if any, keep cows as pets, but many, many people keep dogs as pets. Therefore, opposing the consumption of dog meat is not quite the same as opposing the consumption of beef or meat in general, it’s done for different reasons.
