Miranda said that this year, like every year, current events are a popular choice for Halloween decor. The coronavirus becoming one of the key themes shouldn’t come as a surprise. “People see it as a way to weave a bit of commentary or humor into an otherwise difficult situation,” Miranda explained.

I have a neighbor who has dresses up as Penny Wise for the last 3 years and on Halloween, he ties red balloons around our neighborhood. He is a fun neighbor and all the kids love going to his house and pose for pictures with him.

Love the creativity in all of them, but really, Trump/Biden/voting halloween decorations? Maybe they're awesome to US citizens, but as a non US citizen I don't like them at all. Everything is about the elections already, can't we just have Halloween as it is?

We are 'the cool house'. we will not mention Covid for Halloween. Or the election. We're going to have our fake skeletons dressed in silly hats at a "tea party" with the punch bowl filled with dry ice, and the other figures dressed for an old rave with glowsticks. Why? Because why we're the 'cool scary" house... this year we need to be not scaring anyone. Just no. Too much else to scare them.
