For a long time, they have been used to determine personality characteristics and identify any psychological disorders. Experts are now quite sceptical about this type of analysis, and it’s less about what you see, but more about why you see something.

There seemed to be like 3 basic versions, with slight variations of each. Although there were a few exceptions, which seemed purposefully made (rather than randomly created as inkblots are supposed to be), such as the clown and the dancing figures.

It’s weird the ‘clown’ looked like a big ring tail possum face jacked up on Lilly pilly fruits to me

Oh come on, they all show the same thing: my father strangling my mother. That was a waste of time I'd have better spent finding my matches...

I took one of these tests once. The shrink showed me the pictures: I saw a pair of breasts. Then a reclining núde woman, then me, making love to that woman. Then that woman making love to another woman. Then both women making love to me, and so-on throughout the test. At the end the shrink said, 'You are clearly obsessed with séx'. I said 'Me? You're the one with all the dirty pictures'.
