People Are Sharing ‘Non-Romantic’ Ways Their Partners Show Love, And We Wish This Thread Would Never End
Whoever thought you could only express love with flowers and romantic candlelit dinners was completely wrong. There are so many other ways one can make their significant other feel loved and the Twitter thread created by writer Hattie Gladwell proves it. She asked "What's one thing your partner does that’s not necessarily romantic but makes you love them a bit more" and people flooded the timeline with responses (some are quite unexpected!). Scroll down below to read them!

Not everyone wants to get married. My partner and I have been together for 24 years and aren't married.

There are new treatments out there for Crohn’s now. Talk to your doctor about trying some out. It will make you feel so much better! Good luck!
Not all ladies like getting pictures of cucumbers. This must be real love.
My husband and I sleep on separate twin beds so we don't wake each other up when we roll over at night. But last year I had hernia surgery. The doctor told us to make sure everything was sterile at home. I worked the Saturday before my surgery and my husband told me he was going to get the house thoroughly cleaned to prep for surgery. When I got home though, I found he'd moved his bed out into the living room and positioned my in the center of the room, all with clean sheets and linens. I asked why he did that. He said "You will be tired and mobility challenged when you get home. I wanted you to be able to get out of bed on whatever side you needed and I want you to be able to get some good sleep without me snoring in your ear all night. And if you want to come out and watch TV in the living room, you'll have my bed to lay on." I just looked at him and tackled him with a hug!
I had a friend who was like this. I had a really bad, long panic attack once, and I came into our cabin crying and scared. She held me for 30 minutes straight, even though I was dripping wet and all gross. I am forever thankful she has been in my life these past few years. Love you girlfriend!
I also have spinal arthritis. Was diagnosed at 21. It sucks but this is so sweet!!
Monthlies can be debilitating. 😐 A loved one of mine also suffers greatly.
Mine knew I was worried about my Sister taking care of my Dad by herself (He has late stage dementia.) She is 3000 miles away. I told her if she needed help, I could come up for a few weeks to let her get caught up on important paperwork/appointments as well as let her get some sleep. She paid for the ticket and I went and helped. Then when I returned, my husband knew I'd be exhausted, not only from taking care of someone that could not take care of themselves, but from the emotional stress of seeing the person that was my Dad gone. He comforted me and let me have my own space for the first few days back, taking my son out so I could have the house to myself. My sister thanked me for helping. I told her that my husband needed the thanks because he helped me so I could help her....
Our house fell behind in cleaning because of my back issues. A few months ago my husband took a "vacation" from work for about a week. I thought he would want to take off and go someplace out of town. Instead he spent the entire vacation getting the house cleaned and caught up on projects so that I could easily manage it from there on out. His comment on the first day "You tell me what you want me to do and I'll do it." I seriously doubt that I deserve this man.... But I'm glad he's here.
Mine knows I like thunderstorms. He also knows that thunderstorms calm me to the point of helping me fall asleep. So when they come through our area at night, he will make sure I'm all set up in bed and then turn off all the lights so that I can watch the lightening flash and hear the thunder rumble as a nod off.
My brother had to do mine. Was told 2 or 3 weeks....4 months til they found the right dose of rat poison tablets
My husband NEVER shares food with anyone but me! He knows I like to taste what he got, and Vice versa!
There are lots of ways to love and be loved...marriage is only one path. I don't know if you're going to find a spouse or not, it's not a guarantee in this world. But I do know that there are friendships, pets, volunteering, etc. that you can probably get involved with. There is love and companionship in many places :)

I love this thread! My bf lives in Belgium and I live in the UK - he flies over to visit me and doesn't complain about the fact that I don't have the money to fly to him just right now. He makes me feel good about body - usually guys don't like that I'm physically stronger than them, but he really seems to love that I can pick him up XD. He respects me as a gamer and doesn't belittle my skills. He fluffs up my pillow if he sees it's gone flat. He finds any excuse to touch me in the gentlest way - just a little kiss on the shoulder or a touch on the cheek. Little ways of showing how much he wants to be near me. Damn, I love this guy.
Forgot something important! Ever since I told him I'm self conscious about my belly/strechmarks, he's made a point of stroking and kissing my belly as much as possible.
Load More Replies...My boyfriend is amazing. We had a rough year last year and i had a few nervous breakdowns. I would say why does God keep doing this to me and why do bad things happen to me. And he would always say, "Yes bad things are happening now but you have so much to be thankful for and so much good in your life." when the darkness hits me hard he always find the light to bring me back. hes great.
My cousin's partner researched Brazilian blowout and straightened her hair. It took him 4 hours, but he did a great job. If that isn't love, I don't know what is.
This is so cool! Sounds like she found an awesome partner ☺️

my girlfriend always makes sure i'm ok before she worries about herself, like asking if i'm cold or if she should scoot over for me to have more room. she also calms me down in the midst of a panic/anxiety attack. love her.
My ex husband did none of these... The boyfriend does a few of them
1.) Let's me high five her 2.) Watches West Wing repeats with me 3.) Doesn't complain about snoring
Some of these are frighteningly close to controlling actions, and are more about ownership than "love".
Can you provide examples of the ones that made you feel this way? I was genuinely curious if I had missed those undertones but in re-reading some of them couldn't find what you might have been referencing.
Load More Replies...I had a really bad relationship with my mother in law. The situation escalated when my first son were born. That was the point when I couldn't make anything right and she complaint that much, that my father in law said, that she is overreacting, and my husband tried to calm her down. I just ignored and avoided her the hole time. Then she said to my husband: that person is tearing my family apart. My husband then said: I found a wife I should kiss her feet every day, to thank her for her love and kindness. When you are ready to see that you will realize that you haven't lost your family but gained a daughter which is better than your only child. After that we didn't hear or saw her for months. Now, 10 years later, we have a healthy relationship. Not perfect, not very good, but luckily not toxic anymore.
I had to have minor surgery 3 months after we began dating. He stayed with me for 2 days and took off work the day after surgery so he could take care of me and make sure I was eating and would stay on top of my pain meds. The moment I knew I loved him was as I was crying in pain in bed, he grabbed my hand and said to squeeze so I wouldn't think about the pain. He did this as he whispered in my ear that it would be okay and he wiped my tears away. ❤️
I have tried a couple of these cheap ones in the past like truthfinder and Spokeo, all they do is send a bunch of spam mails to you and then you get inaccurate information which affects my clientele. I had to reevaluate because I was getting wrong information and unauthorized charges at the same time so I dumped all these services. About 4 months ago I went in search of a monitoring service, i got one using the gmail---darkwebssolutions company by mailing them. I got them to get me a software for monitoring two people that was being investigated. They delivered with efficiency and the functionality i got from the app was really unexpected..and I have used their service since then, i will recommend it to anyone.
