People are proud of how they shortcut or disable safety features so they "can work quicker", while their boss by no means is to be told or to see it, because "he goes off like a missile if he sees us doing that". So, the boss don't want you to ... it's for HIS benefit, after all, and not for the workers'. So ... they disable safety measures, hide it from the boss, who is the only one having an advantage by that, but doesn't want it anyway, and risk something ranging from their fingertips to their lifes, and are even proud of it? I should stop wondering why so few people join a union these days... It's downright stupid, against their own interest, and the least substantial damage they could earn themselves would be losing their job, or, if they're not caught in time, even their head. Well, I shake mine on their behalf, but I still don't get why people are so.
