Everyone wants a smooth vacation or business trip experience, especially when it involves staying in a hotel. The staff is well aware of this and tries to offer the best customer service possible.

In some cases, they go above and beyond by creating ideas to entertain their guests, such as making a pillow fort on the bed... While a few of these ideas might border on the risqué side, we can only speculate whether they've been approved by managers or if they're the result of employees trying to inject more fun into their workday.

We've gathered a collection of pictures with some hotels' clever ideas to make their guests' stay more fun, so don't hesitate to take a look!

In today's market, customers value experiences more than just low prices. Hotel marketers are finding ways to personalize experiences that genuinely please and emotionally connect with customers. This is achieved by training staff to provide emotionally satisfying stays for guests. Consistently offering exceptional hospitality encourages customers to return and recommend the hotel to others through word of mouth.

Hotels nowadays attract customers by creating content that people want to share. They use social media to produce eye-catching marketing materials that grab the attention of potential customers and persuade them to consider a hotel stay, even if it wasn't originally in their plans. This approach is especially effective for reaching less frequent customers.

If you visit the social media pages of top hotels, you'll find engaging marketing content, such as videos, posts, and stories. Most of this content is designed to be shared enthusiastically with friends and followers. Hotels also take advantage of platforms like Facebook, which prioritize video content, to share visually appealing material that encourages sharing and attracts customers.

They say it's often easier to keep and make more money from your current customers than to find new ones. However, customers don't always stick with the same hotel forever. To address this, hotels have come up with unique loyalty programs. These programs help attract new customers and keep the old ones coming back.

My first day in Ireland I tried to plug my laptop in and was shocked it didn't fit. I'm from Poland and it's easy to think the whole Europe is the same, we forget about the crazy islands.

Yeah, we like to be different to the rest of Europe over here. Can't even blame Brexit for this one - they've been as they are for many decades. (UK, Ireland, and Cyprus only, to the best of my knowledge). The rest of Europe have the round ones, except Switzerland, who has the flat hexagonal one on the left.

No, please, dear god, let us adopt the European ones. They don't stand upright on their end, pointing those vicious pins upwards for the unwary foot to fall foul of. I'd even take the Swiss ones, even though they don't work anywhere else either.

Some countries use two phase and some three phase electricity. You'd not be able to use your stuff safely even with the right plug, right?

Terrific! On our first vacation together, hubby tried to stay up all night (yes, I know how it sounds) because the plug socket didn't look like he'd be able to plug in his BiPap. (He stops breathing 60-75 times per hour without it)

Because that would require all the countries (except for the selected plug design) to change the plugs in their houses or buy adapters, plus all commercial buildings, etc. That’ll be a big expense and effort. Replacing USBs is easy as they come with newly bought items and don’t require altering your home.

The third one along will take an American plug. It likely runs at 110V too, unlike Europe who normally run at 220-240V. (We do have a few items that like 110V, and their sockets look like that.)

You've probably seen similar programs in coffee shops and stores. In hotels, these programs often reward customers with savings, like a percentage off their stay, earned by staying a certain number of nights.

Hotels appeal to customers by offering a unique experience. Instead of just selling a product, they create an experience that matches what customers are looking for. People choose hotels that match their style, standards, and preferences. Hotels that lack attractive interiors and amenities struggle to attract customers because they aren't memorable.

Great hotel and customer service! When I forget once a shirt in a hotel in Nitra, Slovakia, I didn't get it back! I called them almost immediately and initially they said they found it and they will keep it safe for me since I was supposed to come back the week after. Surprise, after I arrived the next week, they told me that they have thrown away my shirt "by mistake". Not even an apology was offered.
