30 Times People Tried To Get Beautiful Bird Pics But It Went Horribly Wrong (New Pics)
If there’s something we've learned from the hilariously entertaining Crap Wildlife Photography Facebook group that became a real hit online (check it out in our previous features here, here, and here!) it's that animals are unpredictable. But so is the weather forecast, camera battery, particular location, you name it. There’s also always a chance to get photobombed.
This Facebook group which follows in the same footsteps of photographic hilarity titled “Crap Bird Photography” offers the same amusement, except it features feathered friends only.
“You know the story: there's always something in the way, they just won't pose right; the camera does something it shouldn't; wrong exposure, fuzzy photos, can't get the bird in the frame, etc., etc.,” says the group’s description and its 118K members couldn’t agree more.
So we wrapped up some of the best of the crappiest takes on capturing a bird right below! Be sure to upvote your funniest and make sure to check out our previous article with more failed photos of birds.

Propeller Bird About To Take Off! - Aka. Red-Capped Robin
I’ve Made An Important Scientific Discovery. Hummingbirds Aren’t Really Flying In The Air, They Are Doing Jumping Jacks To Stay Up There
That kinda looks like dream doing jumping jacks but the camera man sucked at taking the picture
Its probably not that the camera man sucks, its probably the fact hummingbirds are so hard to take photos of
Load More Replies...Yes, thought it was a teenager / guy, black pants, green hoodie, having fun with the backyard camera, doing the latest dance moves.
Load More Replies...Yes, I can confirm that the hummingbirds living in my backyard are doing jumping jacks in the morning.
Bored Panda reached out to Dr. Kathi Borgmann, the Communications Coordinator of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, who has been studying bird songs and recording their vocalizations throughout Central and South America. Today, Borgmann’s love of birds and the natural world drives her to share her passions to educate and inspire.
Borgmann confirmed that photographing birds in flight is particularly challenging, “because it can be hard to get a sharp focus on a swift-moving bird.” She argues that capturing any fast-moving animal is more challenging, so it’s better not to expect picture-perfect photos from the get go.

I Know It Is About Birgs But This Cow Is Cute And I Wanted To Share With You
We were also eager to find out about how Borgmann studies bird songs. “There are many ways to study bird song, but one primary way is to analyze the characteristics of a bird's song.”
“That starts with recording the vocalizations of many individuals using recording equipment. After gathering enough vocalizations, researchers start to examine the pitch, number of notes, song complexity, and more to understand, for example, how the vocalizations might differ between individuals in different regions,” Borgmann explained.
I Actually Think This Photo Is Pretty Good, But As A Photographic Model, This Bird Is Crap!

I Thought I Took A Beautiful Photo Of My Rescued Starling
To all the young people thinking of studying ornithology, Borgman shared a piece of advice: “If you are thinking of studying ornithology, join a local birding group or nature society in your town. Go on outings with the group and start watching birds, paying attention to what they are doing and start asking questions and noting your observations in a field notebook.”

Somebody Over At Bird Memes Said I Should Join This Group So I Could Share Loki The White Bellied Caique In Spelunker Mode Under My Collar. So, Here Ya Go!
Loki is the perfect name for a bird. Yes, you think that the name Loki would be better suited for a cat, but bird owners know that birds can be manipulative, destructive mischievous, highly intelligent, comically chaotic yet lovable pets. My bird makes adorable kissing noises to lure me into a false sense of love and affection then bites me right on the lips. It then proceeds to make plocking noises that sounds like its laughing while I'm in agony.

May I Present The First Ever Photograph Of The Flaccid Feather Duster Bird (Ffdb)
Rarely standing erect, the FFDB remains limp nearly all of the time, a behaviour which has been described by ornithologists as "disappointing" "underwhelming" and in one uncomfortably specific example "eerily reminiscent of my ex-husband, Steve."

I watched some keas destroy a car in 1973 in the space of a week. First the tyres on day 1. Next windscreen rubbers - a strong wind and the windscreen fell out. Day 2 and the interior seats, dash and under-dash wiring. Day 3 brake hoses and under bonnet cables and hoses. Day 4 detail work on all the above. Day 5 and 6 all paintwork edges chewed.Day 7 the owner returned - not a happy chappie.
