I love dogs in love. When I was a kid we had a cairn terrier, Ricky, that was madly in love with my grandparent’s dog Buffy, a sweet, fat poodle. We lived three hours away, but if you said, “Are you ready to go see Buffy?” he would shriek with joy and sprint to the car. Once there he would follow her literally everywhere, and always lie with his chin on her when they rested. She merely tolerated him, but his love never waned. 💗

My brother-in-law's lab/pit mix loved his stuffed animals, I usually bought him something at the local thrift store, teddies or whatever but one week after he had destroyed the last toy, the only stuffie big enough was a pink bunny. Buster was overjoyed but my brother-in-law was highly offended to see him carrying a large pink bunny

I’d start putting cat treats in those areas occasionally XD I also usually share a sliver of my lunch with my cats (if it’s cat-safe food) and now they’ve “trained” themselves to sit and stare at me whenever I eat lunch. On days when I can’t share the food with them, everyone is sad XD

My dad would fix himself a Smithfield ham sandwich for lunch every day and one day he gave our cat a tiny piece of the ham, which was kept in aluminum foil. Wasn't long before she started showing up every time somebody unwrapped anything that was kept in foil.

As I mentioned in the comments of the previous post, I am a pet sitter. I have told strangers about the Magic Pie Bush, when walking clients dogs (and one time with my mom and no dogs). Some of them got the reference, or at least picked up on what I meant. Some did not. Dog owners (at least dog owners who have dogs who do this) just know.

My confusion about this phenomenon (if you can call it that) is: why are people throwing away half or whole pies? Why are people throwing away (as in literally, in shrubbery, not a wheelie bin that got knocked over in the driveway before the garbage truck came on garbage day) so much perfectly good (before it was thrown away, obviously) food? It is quite disturbing and upsetting to think about that much wastage.

My disabled puppy does this when we try to get him in the car after his weekly puppy playgroups. He runs just fine for 30 minutes, then suddenly, he’s unable to walk when it’s time to go in the car XD

When my dog realises we're on our way home she just sits down and cannot be budged.
When asked about the reasons our dogs seem like they "malfunctioned" by striking weird poses of simply being their goofy selves, Kate explained that our furry friends can be weird and total dorks sometimes.
From dogs who roll around in the grass like there’s no tomorrow to pooches who figure out the strangest ways to get the most pets from passers, there's no shortage of kooky behaviors they express.
Kate mentioned some of the most common ones: "Some dogs sleep in bizarre positions or appear to malfunction when they get the zoomies. Sometimes odd behavior can be caused by a serious health or medical issue so it's important to have your dog checked by a vet if their behavior suddenly changes."

I got you, breaux. 12 am is Noon, and 12 pm is Midnight. Then 12:01am comes after midnight, it switches from pm to am, being early morning then. Hope this helps.

It’s easy to see why their funny antics are so entertaining, and the pups themselves look like they’re having fun. But animal behaviorist Kate pointed out that this seemingly derpy, dorky, and foolish behavior can also be a sign that’s something amiss.
"If you notice your dog becoming clumsy and knocking into things or they're pressing their head up against a wall or chasing their tail or shadows/reflections it suggests they may have an underlying issue. Take them to the vet for a check-up," Kate warned. Moreover, it’s important to tighten the bond with your pet and understand what is normal for your dog so you can pick up the subtle signs that your dog is unwell.

Back in 2011, my parent's Jack Russell Terrier snuck out of the house to go on a trip of his own. He came back all green as well, not because he rolled in grass, but because he rolled around in cow poop that was plentiful in the farmers fields surrounding our neighborhood at the time.

This is picture proof why training your dog is incredibly important!!!! The reason I am commenting this is because I am a pet sitter and very much appreciate when my clients have taken the time to train their dogs, properly (meaning not half-ars*ed!). It makes my job easier! It also makes the dog owners' life easier.

We have always used tabasco for pups who want to shew shoes. When the first shew happen, we say no and get the pup out of the hall. Then we put tabasco on the shoe that were shewed on. After that the pup can go to the hall again. It has never failed that they have started to shew again, just to get the tabasco flavour. And no pup during our almost 30 years of dogs around the house has ever shewed any more shoes. And yes. Tabasco is strong. That is the whole point. It stings for a minute, but the pup don't get humans that get angry and shew him up over and over again.

When we got our girl we got her the most adorable little pink bed that came with a throw blanket and stuffed bone. She came and got us, pulled the blanket and bone off the bed, and proceeded to pee all over it. Then she grabbed the blanket and bone and took them to our bed! She's been there ever since and when the day comes that she isn't, I probably won't be able to sleep there anymore. Even when the dog farts wake me up (they're heinous) I still cuddle my little terror.

This is actually really interesting! If not taught do something in a particular way, then how do we choose to do it? The generations of indoctrination gets lost if we just skip one. I know what you're talking about! I like that sequence! Mainly for the song, but the animation is neat too. The girl (woman, technically, semantics) in question is Rizzo, played by Stockard Channing, for those who don't know. She was 33 at the time, the oldest of the "teens" in the cast. I'm 40 and I like that movie, not the sexism of the male part of Summer Nights but I like some of the other parts. RIP Olivia Newton-John.

Never underestimate the intestinal power of a Malinois. One of ours ate 20 Marlboroughs without being sick or showing any ill effects. The same dog would regularly eat soda cans and once ate the base of a glass bottle. Never needed a vet trip.

Maybe use chicken wire or something else less indestructible than plastic? Or train the dog not to do whatever it is that necessitated the plastic being there in the first place. Have I mentioned that I am a pet sitter and really like when pet owners choose to train their dog properly? I am curious as to why the dog chewed through this stuff. Boredom?

Is it just me or does it seem like the Husky (I think) probably did that to tell the Chihuahua to back off? Because, as a lot of small dogs are wont to do, the Chihuahua was likely pestering the Husky, with its small dog...exuberance. Although Huskies are also loud and exuberant, just in a larger package. Maybe it was just a gentle bite, as a warning. It looks like they get along, for the most part anyway

Correct. For most dogs, unless they have spinal issues, then feeding on the ground is much safer. Feeding from a stand increases the chances of intestinal bloat, which is an extreme emergency and frequently fatal.

Not according to my vet. The opposite, actually. My vet said that it was better for them, and helped with digestion. And it definitely has helped. Only, I decided that all the stands were ridiculously overpriced, so I went to the hardware store and bought a plant stand for less than $15...works like a charm. And her water fountain sits on a step stool with a towel over it.

I have never ever seen neither canine nor feline no matter what kind domesticated or wild drag up a pray on a rock or log in order to be able to eat it without what ever pain the are in. Hint. Measure out the bowl put in a stopper bar o keep bowl full right. Pup needs paws on the non skid mat but as he ears bowl moves away. Problem cured by adding something to stop bowl from sliding around. Two large screw bolts would work.

That is a Shih Zhu (I think), how low was the table that the cigar was left on that it was that accessible? Why would a dog find the smell of a cigar at all appealing...oh wait, most dogs love the smell of gross things! How could I forget? Why do people leave the things they don't want their dog/s do get into so accessible and then get upset that the dog got into those things? Dogs AND their owners need a lot of training sometimes! They make cabinet locks to prevent children from accessing cleaning supplies under the kitchen sink. Pet owners can also use them for preventing the pet having access to the garbage. This is an avoidable issue! I'll stop ranting now. Sorry.

According to the Reddit post it is a Borzoi. Beautiful noodlehorse! Noodlehorse is an affectionate nickname for all dog breeds that have long snouts and tall/long bodies. Greyhounds, Whippets, Salukis, Borzoi, Silken Windhound (which is a delightfully whimsical choice of words for a dog breed name, in my opinion! I love them!) and other similar breeds would be considered noodlehorses. Windhound sounds like a totally made-up fantasy species name that you would read in a Terry Pratchett book or a JRR Tolkien book or something in the Chronicles of Prydain (The Black Cauldron, by Lloyd Alexander, turned into a Disney movie). But they are a real breed of real life dogs! Really bendy dogs! Really really bendy dogs!

Just be careful if you have sandy ground. Sand gets stuck on the surface and it will act like sandpaper on the dogs teeth quickly. Few of my friends had to stop using tennis balls because their dogs had only nubs for teeth, still usable but way too short.

I know what you meant, even if it wasn't typed well. Humans do sit like that. However, were bipedal (two legged), so it doesn't look as "strange" when we do it. It looks amusing and perplexing when quadrupeds (four legged) do it. Cows in particular. Like, what? You are not an animal that looks right when sitting like that! They also look ridiculous when they run! They are so large (I'm not fat shaming cows, just to clarify), it looks bizarre.

Took me a few minutes. For anyone who can find the dog, its nose is barely visible next to the right back door handle. Where there is what looks like a pocket in the door. About an inch (as in if you held a ruler up to your monitor, if on a desktop computer or laptop) down from the silver door handle (see the one on the open back left door for reference), Sorry for spoiling it for anyone who wanted to figure it out for themselves. I'm a little scared, too! These posts help me get more comfortable seeing dogs in a cute way. The only one of these that was scary to me was the dog peeing on a little boy buried in the sand at the beach--otherwise, I loved them!

I think this article is incorrectly titled. Bamboozle means to fool or cheat, not just act goofy or confusing. Adorable puppers tho!
