50 Times People Spotted Animals Doing Their Usual Stuff And Just Had To Take Pics (New Pics)
Animals can put on a wonderful show, whether it’s a dog trying its best to pick up all the sticks in the five-mile radius, a cat testing the durability of yet another box, or farm animals living their best life. Even though such goofy behavior can often lead them into quite a predicament, they never cease to amaze us by doing something of the kind again.
A lot of examples of quirky things animals do can be found on “The Snuggle Is Real” Instagram account. With nearly 90 thousand followers, it shares funny animal pictures, among other entertaining content, which we have gathered here for you to browse. In order to better understand at least one type of the goofy animals in the pictures, Bored Panda has turned to Dr. Marci Koski, a certified feline behavior and training consultant at Feline Behavior Solutions. She was kind enough to answer a few of our questions and provide more information about cat behavior. Scroll down for our full interview with her.

Animals manage to bring a smile to one’s face even on the gloomiest of days. Their mischievous ways, over-the-top cuteness, and incredible sense of empathy can melt even the coldest of hearts, and these images are here to prove it.
The funny animal pics found on “The Snuggle Is Real” cover everything from farm animals, to pets, and beyond. Some of the things they do might seem goofy to us, but it’s often instinct that leads them to such actions.
For instance, the internet (and likely the gallery on your phone, if you’re a cat owner) is brimming with pictures of cats in boxes and similar enclosed spaces. As funny and weird as their fascination might seem, it’s actually a survival instinct that guides them to similar containers.

“Cats are both predator and prey animals and they like to sleep where they feel safe,” certified feline behavior specialist, Marci Koski, told Bored Panda. “Boxes and other nooks and out-of-the-way places offer a sense of safety for many cats—they're places where they can hide (from potential predators), stay warm, and sometimes even see without being seen. Just because we might not think a certain container would be good for sleeping doesn't mean that a cat wouldn't find it cozy, warm, and safe-feeling!”

It's Winky and Mr Weasley!! The only time they ever BBQed was in Book 4 the Goblet of Fire. Mr. Weasley refused to let anyone use magic and insisted on cooking food just like the Muggles do. So many great lost opportunities for the movies. But Harry Hermione and Ron also had to cook out a lot in the Deathly Hallows and Dobby was there for a little while. I think Hermione usually used magic to cook the food. Poor Dobby.

My daughter asked if she could get a kitten. I said NO. The next day I met Stella 😺 Before I knew it, she was pregnant. I kept one, and the rest went to good homes after weaning. Before I could get her fixed, pregnant again. The kitty I kept began nursing again. All these tiny kittens, and Beau.

Cat behavior can be affected by numerous factors. In addition to genetics, Marci Koski also emphasizes the importance of the environment the feline lives in, and how they are socialized at an early age with humans. “We can't really change a cat's genetics (aside from breeding), but we often do have control over our kitties' environment and socialization,” says the expert.
“It's incredibly important that kittens have good experiences with all types of people (and even other animals) during their sensitive socialization period, which is when they are about 2 weeks old to about 7-9 weeks old.
“Additionally, a cat's environment must be set up so that they can express their natural instincts when it comes to feeling safe and secure in their territory, hunting for prey (or playing, if they are indoor kitties), and utilizing important resources (food, water, litter boxes, perching/sleeping locations, toys, etc.)”

One of our girls sits on my vanity and stares at herself for LONG periods of time. She is beautiful but it always cracks me up.
When it comes to more exotic types of pets, parrots can also be great companions. By mimicking human language, they can learn to carry a short conversation or at least answer with phrases they’ve heard people using. They typically use voice to communicate with their flock members and can even put the latter in a playful mood with their play call.

My most traumatic experience was I was down walking on the beach with a sandwich and one came up behind me. I mistakenly fed it a bit of the sandwich and it raised up on its toes and lifted its wings above its head then put its head towards the ground and charged me. I threw the sandwich and ran for my life. I was only 12.

EDIT: See glowworm's comment below - which explains the "weirdness" I am seeing. (thank you glowworm) This one feels photoshopped. Or if you know different let me know. Not because of the chicken (which is out of focus) but the front legs. I lived on a dairy and beef farm and never saw one lay with their legs like that. Just googled a ton of cow laying down pics - same thing. They almost always bend their legs under at the carpal joint (what looks like the 'knee')

This one actually is real.The cow and the chicken both have physical disabilities and live together on an animal sanctuary in Arizona. The cow has dwarfism and was born without bones in his legs. One of my close friends breeds these! They’re absolutely massive, they look like ponies next to the little kids. Even the puppies are huge, but they’re just big floppy babies. ♥️

That is why seagulls and other water fowl have an increase in incidents of diabetes in the past few decades. Too much processed/people food.

Despite claims to the contrary, no bird around here will eat pizza, lasagna, dry stale bread or mealworms. In other words, birds will Not eat everything you put out for them. Birds are more aware of good nutrition than humans, they have to be.

When kittens get their first taste of solid food, like the older cats eat, they can’t seem to get enough of it. I’ve had cats who, when the6 were kittens, literally climbed into the food bowl to eat it, and needed a bath afterward so the chunks didn’t dry onto their fur. I needed to keep a tube of Laxatone handy because, if I looked away for a minute, a couple of them would gobble up so much so fast they’d end up rather uncomfortably full, and need to relieve themselves of some of that “bulk”. Luckily, they quickly learn to regulate their appetites and stop being such gluttons.

People food is not inherently bad for dogs, if you know what foods are healthy and which are toxic. Their kibble started as human food before it went through the extrudiation process and destroyed most of the nutritional value.

these seagulls, or herring gulls in particular, will steal any food from you. fish and chips, hotdog, sausage roll, pastry, etc. I've seen it happen time and time again, but I'm local to the coast and have been most my life, I know to guard my food with my life.
