The subreddit is called '[Dumb] People At Work.' Even though it's smaller than its aforementioned cousins and has just over 9K members, the content is just as good. Or bad. Depends on how you look at it.

Most of these people look like they have never heard of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). It's a federal agency responsible for ensuring safe and healthy working conditions for employees in the United States.

It doesn't start spinning when you start it up, you have to hold two levers for that.
Only if you have the chain brake on otherwise it might spin even slightly. Even it was true it doesn't make that any less stupid to do

A lot of assumptions here. First of all, people are assuming he's trying to start when he could be repairing or adjusting. Also, the chainsaw looks to be at an angle, not between the legs. Even if he was starting the chainsaw, it doesn't spin unless you are holding the trigger.

Maybe he’s learning how to do a cesarean birth???? Before Cesarean sections if a baby was too large to pass through the birth canal, parts of the pelvis would be removed. Not to worry. Most (all?) chainsaws require the chain brake to be engaged before they will start.
He seems to be adjusting the chain tension. And the saw is along his right leg not between them.
To my mind this is just an optical illusion and he had the blade right to him and not between his legs.
I want to see how this ended. No matter what I bet he won't have kids after this.
When I was being a feller in northern Montana, we would start the chainsaws (36" bar) by lifting the saw and dropping it while holding on to the starter pull (this was 1971). Had to be in a clear space b/c once the saw started, I'd spin in a circle while getting it under control. (was topping a tree once, tried this and had to descend the tree to get my saw back)
I'd have to let that one go. I think we would all be better off without him reproducing
With global population exploding beyond our limits, I recommend that more men use this method.

Used to work at a glass factory. Happened there too, after a rush order a couple of us did on a Saturday. The manager thought he could drive a forklift. We refused to work another 6 hours, and the manager was "reassigned" the Monday after. Still hurts to think about it.

We have a bridge in my home town that acts as a truck trap. It has a clear max height warning, yet several time a year, it snares another victim. So, the city decided the warning was not enough, and they placed a construct infront of the bridge, so if the truck wont fit, this thing hits the roof first and wont cause as much damage on either the truck or bridge. The problem is, they only placed one of those, in one direction even though it is a two way street because they claimed "most trucks drive in this direction". It only took some weeks, and a truck got stuck again - coming from the other direction.

My dad was DMing. So, my brother picks the lock of our cell and sneaks out, and tries to steal the (asleep) guard’s sword. Critical failure, the guard wakes up. Roll for initiative. Literally the NEXT TURN, I, the MEAT SHIELD, grab the sword and lop off the guy’s head. Shortly followed by in-character banter about the meat shield doing the rogue’s job.
My dad once tried to attack a fire imp with fire. Also my players trial-and-errored though a simple Indiana Jones floor puzzle. This is why I love D&D.
