I think this about Jurassic Park too. The first movie was scary - the child actors did a great job being realistically afraid of the carnivorous predators chasing them. The first Jurassic World, the kids just laughed it off when they nearly got eaten by the weird invisible T-Rex then went on their merry way. I’m all for fun and whimsy in movies, when those don’t tank the story

Mankiewicz’s second criterion is that the film should have some degree of cinematic importance, and he used the 1939 film Gone With the Wind as an example. Although he personally didn’t like the movie, as he told CNN in an interview, Mankiewicz recognized how it changed the face of cinema at the time by pioneering technicolor.

It pains me to say this, but YES. Not that I want one, but Disney is working on a live-action remake. It's being described as more CGI than actual filming, like their Lion King remake. No idea who's attached to direct now, but Sarah Polley had the gig for a while. She's been let go as of March. They already announced they would not be killing Bambi's mother (at least not on screen) as it would be too upsetting. I guess I was born in a much tougher era. First movie I saw on the big screen in the early '70s. No other new info on the remake as of today.

Drinking coffee and taking a 15 minute catnap is actually a very good way to feel more awake. From my understanding, a large part of caffeine's effect is blocking the neurotransmitters that make you feel tired from doing their thing, but as someone else said it takes a bit to kick in - and it won't do a thing about neurotransmitters already there! However, a brief catnap (just enough to go down one sleep phase, pretty much) can clear those neurotransmitters up, and then you'll wake up just in time for caffeine to block the new ones.
