Research shows that films profoundly affect the formation of our beliefs, influence our opinions, and change our attitudes toward social issues. It’s likely why the memes you’re about to see are very relatable to everyday life.
These images are from the Funny Clips Instagram account. With over half a million followers, it has no shortage of posts that connect pop culture with mundanity.
Here, you’ll find an unlikely intersection between Anakin Skywalker and tipping on takeout orders. You’ll also see Wayne’s World's Pizza Hut moment visually representing a well-spent weekend.

Yeah, he seemed nice enough, but there was always this underlying feeling that he was batsh*t insane
And seriously..have you seen his shooting hand..
Load More Replies...Loved his wonderfully insincere "oh no, how terrible" whenever a kid was in trouble.
I think this about Jurassic Park too. The first movie was scary - the child actors did a great job being realistically afraid of the carnivorous predators chasing them. The first Jurassic World, the kids just laughed it off when they nearly got eaten by the weird invisible T-Rex then went on their merry way. I’m all for fun and whimsy in movies, when those don’t tank the story
I... LOVE Gene Wilder's W***y Wonka. it has... ruined me for EVERY other depiction since. NO shade on the actors, they're great with a bajillion times more talent and chutzpah than I'll ever have.. just... daaaaayaamn, Mr. Wonka.
The author thought wilder was to "cherubic and soft spoken" apparently his version wasn't creepy enough
I don't like Gene Wilder much as an actor but for me he is the one and only W***y Wonka. Like some of here said, he portrays that sinister side so well.
Are we going to neglect the fact that it looks like he is touching his breast between those pictures?
He is also touching his own chest in the pic on the right, he’s just reaching back through time to do it between the two haha

Sean Astin as Samwise Gamgee was the most perfect bit of casting. Most of the cast for the LoTR trilogy were brilliantly cast-Elijah Wood was the only one that jarred (in my opinion).
That's because he's weird looking. Downvote monkeys out there can't handle the fact that Elijah Wood has big boogly eyes and a weird face. We're the same age and his appearance has been jarring the whole time.

Most of the memes on this list are from iconic films. You’ll see references to Star Wars, Dumb and Dumber, and Dominic Toretto, Vin Diesel’s character in the Fast & Furious franchise. But what makes a movie a classic?
Even experts like Turner Classic Movies host Ben Mankiewicz couldn’t come up with a precise definition. However, one of his personal criteria is that a film should leave a lasting impact on a person beyond the immediate viewing.
lawd, the first of the 50leven times i've watched that movie when i saw that dude wasn't on a real horse and had dude behind him with the coconuts, i laughed so hard and long that i missed the next 2-3 minutes of dialogue. true story. LMAO
I was tempted, but I think I'll stick to the Python method. I've been hurt in too many learn how to ride a bike attempts
Load More Replies...Oh, oh, I see! Running away, eh? You yellow bastards! Come back here and take what's coming to you! I'll bite your legs off!
That’s certainly making the best of what I imagine must be a difficult situation otherwise! Well done, young man or woman!
I can't stand the show Friends but, I couldn't help but laugh at this. I said it in his voice too dammit.
Probably better then dune (I crawled across the floor to discreetly grab my iPad like 10 minutes in because I was so bored)
Mankiewicz’s second criterion is that the film should have some degree of cinematic importance, and he used the 1939 film Gone With the Wind as an example. Although he personally didn’t like the movie, as he told CNN in an interview, Mankiewicz recognized how it changed the face of cinema at the time by pioneering technicolor.
Is it me or he's got some Justin Biever too? So it should be Pirates of the Avengers 6, Infinity Peals, Baby.
Some don't get the joke that he looks like combination of RDJ and Johnny Depp
I love Rowan Atkinson. He's brilliant in Black Adder, which likely could not be made today.
The Office: 12 episodes. Only UK telly seems to be smart enough to go out on a high. Here in the states, we run it into the ground, set it on fire, then stomp it to death with 27 seasons & 543 episodes of garbage whilst everyone complains about how bad it's gotten.
Yeah, but we will rinse every Xmas special possibility
Load More Replies...Central Michigan, Saturday night PBS, Red Green immediately followed by Bean.
Many would likely agree that a classic film has stood the test of time. Jaws, Citizen Kane, Pulp Fiction, The Breakfast Club, and Back to the Future are common top-of-the-head examples. Mankiewicz agrees, but he has a caveat.
“There are some movies that have simply stood the test of time. [You have to ask], does it hold up as a great piece of art?”

Load More Replies...Mankiewicz pointed out an important fact: the passing of time can shift our appreciation for a film and whether or not we define it as a classic. The general public didn’t accept Scarface when it premiered in 1983.
Critics slammed the movie for its supposed “gruesome, misogynistic, racist, and nihilistic” nature. However, it is considered a cult classic that’s been a goldmine for quotable quotes.
As children, we thought "Oh, so evil! Bad guy!" - and now... "Oh, so jealous... I wish..."

The teletubbies always gave me the creeps. I mean, there are humans behind those dresses, and they act like weirdos. Nightmare fuel.

Since this list has several references to Star Wars, let's dive into some lesser-known trivia. Here's one: Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker, wore bleached-out blue jeans with the back pockets removed.
In a social media post in 2019, Hamill stated he was proof of creator George Lucas's statement describing Star Wars as "the most expensive low-budget movie ever made."
Hamill's co-star Carrie Fisher concurred in an interview with BBC in 1977. According to the late actress who portrayed Princess Leia, the producers only spent $3 million on special effects despite having a $10 million film budget.

The feelings are mutual. In a 2022 interview with Express, Daniels claimed Baker badmouthed him to the point that people started believing it.
“Kenny decided that he wanted to say unkind, unpleasant, rude, hurtful things. It got worse and worse.”

It pains me to say this, but YES. Not that I want one, but Disney is working on a live-action remake. It's being described as more CGI than actual filming, like their Lion King remake. No idea who's attached to direct now, but Sarah Polley had the gig for a while. She's been let go as of March. They already announced they would not be killing Bambi's mother (at least not on screen) as it would be too upsetting. I guess I was born in a much tougher era. First movie I saw on the big screen in the early '70s. No other new info on the remake as of today.

You are free to have your own opinion, but most of us find it creepy in various ways and a terrible role model for relationships. I liked it when I was 13 and grew out of it once I read a lot more books.

Yes, I've seen all the extras from back in the day, it was brrrrr..big wraps and heat after...she was shivering

Load More Replies...Actually, Kate Winslet wanted James Cameron to make the water be the real temperature, but it was too dangerous. So they made the water like 50 degrees, and the actors had a hot tub to warm up in between takes.
That's why the chunk of wood that Rose was on wouldna supported Jack too - the lower density of the warmer water didn't provide enough buoyancy. It's Science, my Pandas, Science.
The implication that both movies attracted the same type of audience for the same reasons is weird...

Load More Replies...Drinking coffee and taking a 15 minute catnap is actually a very good way to feel more awake. From my understanding, a large part of caffeine's effect is blocking the neurotransmitters that make you feel tired from doing their thing, but as someone else said it takes a bit to kick in - and it won't do a thing about neurotransmitters already there! However, a brief catnap (just enough to go down one sleep phase, pretty much) can clear those neurotransmitters up, and then you'll wake up just in time for caffeine to block the new ones.
