Most of us have common sense and avoid dangerous things. Of course, there are adrenaline junkies who like motorcycles, bungee jumping, and rock climbing. But even then, our brain registers that what we're doing is dangerous. We prepare mentally and physically, so there’s no shock if something unfortunate does happen.

But what about the things we sometimes do but have no idea how dangerous they are? One person was wondering the exact same thing, so they decided to ask others: "What are some really dangerous things most people don't realize are dangerous?" If you're curious to know what everyday things you maybe should stop doing, scroll down and see for yourself!

Sunscreen should be applied 20 minutes before exposure to UV in order to create the intended protective barrier. It should be applied liberally and evenly to clean and dry skin. For an adult, the recommended application is 5mL (approximately one teaspoon) for each arm, leg, body front, body back and face (including neck and ears). That equates to a total of 35mL (approximately seven teaspoons) for a full body application. And reapplied every two hours - to cool dry skin

True. A few seconds of "micro-sleep" while driving would be enough to lose control and crash into another car, a tree or some other obstacle. Get proper rest before driving.

Absolutely agree. And I have to admit that it happened to me once (Edit: when I was around 21 and thought that tiredness was an older people's issue) - on the German Autobahn. It was a really, really long day and at 2 am I had to drive back 120 km to my parents' as I was about to get picked up there the next morning to go on a holiday... Long story short, I drove, feeling absolutely tired, my eyes were burning from keeping them open. I blinked and instead still driving in the right lane, I've already crossed the middle lane, now being in the left lane and heading straight towards the middle safety railing. Could correct my course in the last second! Luckily the highway was pretty deserted, so nobody (including me) got harmed. Never again!

The top answers in this thread bring awareness to some dangerous activities people should know about. Like driving with barely any sleep. According to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) report in 2017, drowsy driving resulted in 91,000 crashes. 50,000 of those ended in injuries and nearly 800 even in deaths.

What's the way to prevent it? Get enough sleep! Adults need a minimum of 7 hours of sleep a day, while teenagers need 8. The CDC recommends sticking to a sleep schedule. And if you're prone to snoring or a sleep disorder, don't hesitate to talk to your doctor about it.

On another note: the fastest water can flow on it's own is 30 kph (around 20 mph). Having said that: a wall one foot high, moving at 20 mph will destroy quite a lot in its path.

It's really not true that people hundreds of years ago 'died by 40'. If people made it out of childhood/early teen years, they were likely to live till their 60s and 70s. Even a few early 80s.

Natural childbirth is a beautiful thing if all goes well but the mortality rate for mothers with complications throughout history has always been horrific. Thank goodness for modern medicine - even then tragedies still happen. It saddens me that some women feel natural childbirth is the only way - it often didn’t work out so well in the past.

Toxic chemicals in general are not avoided enough. Like rubbing hair dye on your scalp once a month is just pure poison for your brains.

    View more comments
    ADVERTISEMENT

Combining cleaning products was also a popular answer. It might seem that the more products you put together, the better clean you'll get. However, some mixes can result in seriously toxic substances. Mixing bleach and vinegar or hydrogen peroxide and vinegar can result in the formation of toxic gasses. They can be harmful if inhaled and irritate the skin and eyes. You should also never mix bleach with ammonia – the gasses this produces can be lethal. Bleach, in general, should only be mixed with plain water.

Another group of products that can be harmful if mixed are drain cleaners. Maryann Amirshahi, PharmD, MD, MPH, PhD, FACMT, FACEP, FASAM, FCP, co-medical director of the National Capital Poison Center, told Martha Stewart that it’s because some contain acids and others contain bases. "Mixing acids and bases can cause a chemical reaction that generates heat, which can cause thermal burns. It may also release toxic gasses depending on the product involved."

Lack of sleep causes my brain to go into a weird waking/sleeping state of mind. Similar to sleep walking. I've fallen "asleep" standing up (I didn't stay standing very long), walked into walls, mirrors (yes it broke and knocked me out). I've fallen and put my head and shoulder through a solid wood cabinet door. Cooked (burned) driven (that was scary bad!), online shop (wondering a week later who sent me a gift), I'll begin counting, rearranging and/or sorting things like Himalayan rock salt (by color and size) screws, nuts, bolts (measure the length, diameter and type of head) cabinets (remove everything from every cabinet) I won't go to bed and will turn into a 110lb. 2 year old fighting tooth and nail to not go to bed! I've been physically placed in bed, covers tightly tucked around me. Giving them the opportunity to stop me from getting up again! Eventually I fall asleep and other than using the bathroom will sleep uninterrupted from 2 to 4 days!

I suffer from moderate to severe insomnia and one night a few years back sleep was just not on the menu for me. I had started reading The Stand by Stephen King a day or so prior so I ended up reading a decent portion of it all thru that night... Y'all. It was akin to popping acid and watching a horror movie. (I think that's a good analogy. I've only ever tried acid once in my life so I'm not exactly an expert. I highly appreciate anyone of you either correcting or confirming 🖤🤘🏻)

I got hit by a dodge ram 1500 while walking home. I could still move. It still took over a year for a nurse to tell me I had a fractured vertebrae. The E.R. doctor that night wanted to be right not a good doctor. My regular doctors didn't think it was a problem. Thank you medicaid. It still took me 3 months to get approved for the surgery. And because I was an adult medicaid patient I was not allowed to get a second opinion. Fun right. Ɓy the time I got the surgery it took 5hrs to try to get somewhat normal spine.

Oh yes! I could write a book about specialists who couldn't find my problem and removed my gallbladder when it wasn't necessary. Finally got a proper diagnosis from a nurse practitioner. I love nurse practitioners; they don't often have God complexes. This was also during early Covid. If one didn't have it, and no one could find a cause why you were sick, you were shifted to the end of the line. I could have died.

An ER doctor recently missed a blood clot in my leg, leaving me to walk around with it for a week before I went to a different hospital. I’m very lucky it didn’t break off and go to my lungs. With my symptoms and recent surgical history, a blood clot should have been the first thing the doctor looked for.

My brother ended up having open heart surgery after a dental visit. He got something called endocarditis and nearly died because bacteria from his teeth got in to his bloodstream/heart. (It's a very long story with lots more details than this though) This is why some people have to take antibiotics before a dental appointment. Everyone should take it very seriously!

A surprising entry for some in this list might be sunburns. Hardly anyone hasn't had a sunburn in their lives: it hurts, it peels, and it just isn't a pleasant experience generally. But it's not just that your skin got a little too hot from being in the sun too long. As the Skin Cancer Foundation explains, "Sunburn is an inflammatory reaction to ultraviolet (UV) radiation damage."

The skin peeling means that your body is trying to get rid of the damaged skin cells. But sometimes, it might just be too much – every sunburn raises your risk for skin cancer. The Skin Cancer Foundation claims that even one blistering sunburn in childhood more than doubles the chances of developing melanoma later in life. To avoid this, the best bets are covering up, staying in the shade, avoiding tanning beds, and investing in a good sunscreen.

Last night we were on our way to get our rescue cat from our granddaughter's. We had also adopted a rescue cat for her since she wanted one. We thought maybe they could get along, if introduced properly. Anyway, it wasn't happening so we went to pick our cat up. The dude driving in front of us HAD HIS DAMN CELL PHONE STUCK TO THE WINDSHIELD right in front of him, so he could NOT see ANYTHING ELSE but his phone. He was everywhere on the road except his lane. Too bad we don't want cops on the road anymore, eh?

“Moving Water”: 35 People Share Things People Might Not Realize Are Really Dangerous You know how the basic answer is "social media"? Well, I'd like to up that. A dangerous thing people get into so casually everyday is arguing with randoms. It gets addictive, seeing notifs, seeing upvotes or "likes," and reposts. Pretty soon, you start postponing work because you have to correct someone or you have to reply asap. You lose sleep, you wake up frustrated, you randomly lash out on your loved ones, maybe even your pet. You develop anger and attention problems.

I quit Twitter over a year ago, and I cannot overstate how much it has improved my life. Every word of the above is an apt and ignoble description of how I conducted myself when I was deep into it. It is so, so polarizing. It gives a skewed perception of threats and deals almost exclusively in superlatives and their opposites; everything is the best, the worst, and right now. You and people like you are the last bastion against evil, and the "other side" is dehumanized and demonized. I became an anxious, hateful shell of a man, desperate for "likes" and ready to fight.

And one person misunderstanding something can send things into a wild tailspin that can last for days at least where people get so riled up that people get doxxed, they get threatened... One of the things I see a lot of is people wiggling their foot over the line, saying 'I didn't /threaten/ you by saying I have a gun'... Things like that. Factions form. And you never know what mental state the people on the other side are on, what they're capable of...

Thus should be waaaayyy higher. I firmly believe that this is the cause of at least half the problems the world is facing right now. Growing up before social media we were aware that most of the world was unaware of our existence, and we were okay with that. While like most teens we occasionally dreamed of worldwide fame or relevance we generally went for the more sustainable community relevance in our actions. We were also far more independent in our thoughts and opinions without all the judgement of random online strangers. Today people are obsessed with global acknowledgement and the unsustainable global relevance. (Everyone one must know my name and be impacted by my existence for me to feel important.) They seek for relevance in the one place they are guaranteed not to find it. This has led to a massive mental health problem.

“Moving Water”: 35 People Share Things People Might Not Realize Are Really Dangerous When there is someone in your life who behaves in a sexually intimidating manner, or who can't stop from making sexual comments about you, tell someone! Decide who you can trust with this information and tell them *every time it happens.* Make notes about it, too, with dates and witnesses. MOST IMPORTANT: **Don't go anywhere with them alone!** That is when they will attempt to r*pe you. People like to think these sexual comments aren't dangerous, but they truly are. "Just ignore him," isn't good enough because they do this to get you to let your guard down. It's how they groom their victims so that you're so used to the vile comments that you stop regarding the person as potentially dangerous. "That's just how he is," is not an acceptable excuse for sexually denigrating somebody. Maybe the person is just a jerk, but you can't tell by how they look. R*pe victims say, "He suddenly became a very different, very aggressive person and then he attacked me. I never believed he would do anything like this!" Trust your own instincts! If someone makes you uncomfortable, pay attention and never, ever, go anywhere alone with them. Ever!

And a codicil. Women shouldn't be fielding this nonsense on their own. Women do not cause this problem. We need to get men to police their own, get men to take this seriously. The cause of a rape is the rapist, not the woman. We need to start acting like it instead of leaving it to women to fix.

very good advice. i would add that this should not be limited to just men but women as well. while a man can sexually assault a woman and it is important to realize that there are women who act sexually aggressive and can rape a man. just like it took years for the judicial system to realize that a raped woman can have an orgasm because it is a biological response, men are also subject to such uncontrollable responses. worse yet, if a man is not reciprocal to the woman she may decide to just accuse the man of attempted assault.

A million times yes. I was in a quadding accident 20 years ago. I was driving it for work so I wasn’t messing around. I dislocated my ankle and broke my leg. And that was from jumping off when the quad was going to tip, not from being pinned or anything. My ankle will never be quite the same - I was REALLY lucky though because I mostly recovered and it doesn’t affect my mobility anymore.

Of all those "friends" on your socials, it is not totally impossible that someone doesn't (1) know where we live, (2) know what's worth taking in the house (from prior photos posted), and (3) find themselves dumb and desperate enough to try to break in while nobody is home. This could be shortened to simply 'people'. People are inherently dangerous. Avoid them every opportunity possible. A synonym for 'Big crowd of people' is 'mob' or 'government' which is an extremely dangerous critical mass of that inherently dangerous entity called 'people' and has undoubtedly caused more death, mayhem and destruction than anything since the Chicxulub impact.

We had issues with our garage door last summer and I called a professional so my husband didn't have to mess with it more than needed. The poor repairman called me out to the garage and was sweating bullets because the idiots who built our house (and every house on the street) used a spring designed for an EIGHTEEN foot door instead of an EIGHT foot door. He was genuinely surprised it hadn't harmed us or destroyed our vehicles.

This is why signaling is so important. These "gigantic hunks of gasoline filled metal" basically have two ways to communicate, break lights and signals.

I think anyone who's texting behind the wheel, or driving while intoxicated should get their license removed for a year, and if it happens twice they get to go to prison or lose their license for life. A car is a 1000 kilo murder weapon that should only be used while paying good attention. You don't have the right to be reckless and endanger other people's lives.

You have to remember opposite traffic is moving towards you as fast as you are moving toward them. So on the highway you strap yourself into chunks of metal moving towards each other at 130 MPH and missing each other by feet.

When you are in the car, you don't feel how fast you are going and when you are outside it feels like you are zooming past even if you're going like 25mph. This got someone very mad at me because they scared the crud out of me as they zoomed past.

Bull: if it was that dangerous bikers would be dead from being exposed to the speed. I presume it’s just badly worded and they mean in a crash - remember kids speed doesn’t kill you it’s the sudden stop! 30mph on ice on a 70mph road can be way more lethal than 70 on a 60 limit road in good conditions!

“Moving Water”: 35 People Share Things People Might Not Realize Are Really Dangerous Escalators. The torque produced to lift dozens of people and their luggage will not stop for your limbs. Watch your kids, carry your pets, don't be distracted. There are emergency stop buttons at the top and bottom, if you see a problem such as a person falling or loose metal or glass, use the button. Better delayed than traumatized, maimed, or dead.

Fun secret. If you kick the side wall of an escalator hard enough, it will shut off. They have safety sensors in them for that purpose. So if you can't reach the button, just start kicking the s**t out of the lower metal walls and it should deactivate.

A family friend of my nanna lost her husband due to an escalator incident in the 80s. He was an engineer carrying out an inspection, and something went wrong, and the stairs began moving. He was partially decapitated as a result and died instantly. This was a long time ago, I was a very young child (around 5/6) when we were told of her husbands death and it wasnt for another 10 years until we found out how he died. The full details are pretty horrific.

Nurse here-most people don't realize the damage even 2 drinks a day does to your mind/body. I've seen so many patients in their early 40s with liver disease. Going through addiction, I wanted to stop for years. And for years, I was warned about how stopping abruptly would kill me. As I was at a point of extreme suffering, I recall lying there...twitching, shaking, heaving...and ruefully muttering, 'This'd've been easier if I had gotten addicted to heroin.' 'Cause that was just me trying to taper off, and that was a mere twelve hours after my last drink... And the tapering schedule was months more to go. Ended up having to go to a facility--and not a nice one--to dry out and be monitored. Even that was touch'n'go. (Also caught COVID and had to be quarantined. That was fun. Being alone in a dark room with the sweats, small seizures, hallucinations... No contact with anyone except three minutes every so often where they took my vitals and gave me meds.) Yeah. No one told me how hard it would rewire me.

There are always exceptions. My wife's grandpa was a heavy smoker and drinker for decades (and worked for decades at a chemical fertilizer plant). He lived well into his 80s with no major health problems. Just died one day. It was so sudden that the coroner actually wanted to investigate for any "foul play". OTOH, she had an uncle who lived clean and healthy who died in his early 50s after a mild viral infection. Got into his heart somehow, and that was that.

If your life begun with having narcissistic people raising you, you don't stand a chance, unless you actually have someone in your life who goes above and beyond to help you! 1. What you don't know CAN hurt you. 2. What doesn't kill you quickly is playing the long game...it has buried itself deep inside you and is affecting your decision making, self esteem and how badly you will accept others treating you, etc, and it affects your ability to grow emotionally and mentally.

If there's any chance of hitting pavement at speed gear up. It takes split seconds of contact to cause 2nd and 3rd degree road rash. And do not get on the back unless you know for fact you're with a good rider. And any rider that let's you on the back without gear, big red flag. And FFS women, do not get on with any guy that "here, just use my helmet..." please.

I'm sure people walking around in cities know how dangerous they are. In San Francisco, we have idiots riding them on the sidewalk. Combined, the rider and scooter weigh close to or over 200 pounds traveling at a high rate of speed. They have no regard of pedestrians, invalids, children, babies, dogs or even anyone other than themselves. And yes, they have run over people and then get back on their scooter and take off. Meanwhile their victims go to the hospital. There is no deterrence in place to stop them. Yet

E Scooter rider here since 2021 and I 100% agree with this post. From the moment I bought my first scooter I also bought gear: Full Face Smart helmet with recording device, Impact riding gloves, metal knee pads, metal elbow pads and a motorcycle jacket with padding on the back, shoulders, and elbows. I NEVER ride without my gear no matter how long or short the ride is. I respect other drivers/riders, and ride at the posted speed limit while ALWAYS being alert. Those who don't even wear at least a helmet drive me up the walls but the absolute WORST is the idiots who ride with their partner, friend, or worse child!!! These have weight limits for a reason, and its hard enough to steer with yourself on it let alone someone else.

Luckily helmets are mandatory from 25 km/h over here, but still. If you crash at 25 km or more with just your summer clothes on, you'll be quite f-d up. Even worse seeing people on motorcycles without protective gear..

I've had far worse injuries with duller knives than sharp. Not least because I'm more careful around my mandolin and sharper knives and have more respect for them, but also my duller knives had to be used with a lot more force behind them.

The biggest danger comes while trying to kill someone. When the knife is duller, it takes longer, giving the target more opportunity to hurt you while defending against your efforts. That's been proven by many many movies and TV crime shows. And even if they're fictional, they certainly wouldn't lie to us. That would be wrong. Right?

“Moving Water”: 35 People Share Things People Might Not Realize Are Really Dangerous There’s a newish trend among wood workers called Fractal Burning or Lichtenberg burning where you use electricity to create this cool lightning like burns across wood. Problem is, it’s extremely dangerous. There has already been at least one person who died trying to do it (probably more but I only remember hearing of one specifically) . There’s a ton of videos of every day people doing this, but if you slip up just slightly, you’re gonna electrocute yourself.

Use a billy pedal so if you get electrocuted and take your foot off, the power stops. Also, use a low amperage transformer. Lots of folks use old microwave transformers and they put out a ton of power, try a neon sign transformer. Higher voltage but lower amps, much safer.

This is a disaster waiting to happen. You may have a kill switch to turn off the battery but that doesn’t guarantee the wood you’re burning isn’t going to explode into flames. I use a high watt CO2 laser and give it massive respect because I’m literally playing with fire. I have fire prevention hooked up and never walk more than five steps away when it’s burning. I also have a fire extinguisher next to my work station. I hope fractal burning is a fad that fades soon.

No. Inflammable and flammable have the same dictionary definition. It might be some specific industry uses them having a different meaning. The word flammable came to be because too many thought Inflammable meant what is now called non-flammable.

Why do so many think inflammable and flammable don't mean the exact same thing (as every dictionary I've checked says)? Is this some specialized industrial subdefinition (say petrochemicals?) or something invented by school teachers?

Every year people, both tourists and locals, fall off the trails in Switzerland and down the mountains because they aren't careful enough. Wear good shoes, be careful, don't get drunk, and don't try to imitate someone who's obviously experienced and knows what they are doing if you have no prior knowledge about mountain trails.

“Moving Water”: 35 People Share Things People Might Not Realize Are Really Dangerous Water - current and waterfalls are to two that kill people all the time. Even a gentle looking river can be very deceptive if there’s enough water moving along — people, cars, etc. Rip currents at the beach. Flash floods. Water seems gentle, but it’s gives zero f@cks about anything in its path. The top of waterfalls are super deceptive with the combination of powerful current and slippery rocks that look like a beautiful place to grab a picture — but they can kill you in an instant.

Yup, they're far more dangerous then the animals we think of as dangerous (sharks, lions, etc). They're highly territorial, have a quick temper and are a lot faster then you would expect, both in water and on land.

You need literally hundreds of tablets to kill you, far more than anyone could take by accident. Liver damage can occur with much lower quantities, anything upward of 20 tablets can be toxic, A heavy night's drinking doesn't make any difference, although long-term excess alcohol can significantly increase the risk and severity of liver damage.

According to Google and chatGPT can 15 500mg tablets give you liverdamage and 30 500mg tablets will kill you. Alcohol is processed in the liver, so if you take paracetamol that also focuses on the the liver the damage will be higher.

Movie where the protagonists just 'knock out' the bad guys for a few minutes annoy the hell out of me - no you cannot surgically calculate how hard to hit someone to render them just briefly unconscious. If you knock someone out you have already done them brain damage and there's no such thing as a 'safe' level. Hit someone in the head and you've got a fair chance of being charged with murder or manslaughter.

You can actually kill someone by punching them in the face if the nose breaks in a specific angle, causing the bone behind the cartilage to be shot back through the skull into the brain. However, this is very unlikely, same as causing a bleed in the brain through a punch. Otherwise all boxers would be dead.

It's like a really small, not very high barrier(usually cement) across the width of a river or creek but the water isn't dammed up, it flows over it continuously and makes a small waterfall. I guess the danger comes from the area at the bottom of the "dam"where you could get trapped under the water by back current? These dams can look deceptively easy and harmless to swim or kayak over or even walk across

The pits of most members of the prunus family (cherry, peach, apricot, plum, etc) contain amygdalin, which produces hydrogen cyanide when digested. Even almonds, which are the edible pits of the "almond fruit", contain trace amounts. Then there's the "bitter almond". Eating as few as 5 of those can be fatal.

I'll check this calculation. Actually, it looks correct. You have to crush the cherry pits first.

    A. Why would you eat cherry pits? B. How much of the pit would be digested?

Bites. From both animals and humans. "Oh it's just a spider bite, it can't do me much." I realised a week after that sentence that it can indeed do me much. I spent two weeks with a slightly inflated, red and irritating arm. There's also rabbies, blood-transmitted diseases and bloodborn pathogens. And people often don't realise the jaw is the strongest muscle on the human body. I tried to bite someone's ear out of rage and almost ripped it off his head. There's a bunch of reports of assaults where someone got bitten and there was serious damage done by a simple bite. My favorite example is a thief trying to steal someone's bike and the bike owner started fighting the thief. It ended up by the owner biting the man's fingers and bitting off two of his fingers and ripping his skin all along the other fingers of this same hand.

Humans actually have one of the worst bites of all, even worse than some venomous animals, because we have so much bacteria in our mouths that the bite wounds we cause will get badly infected. Plus, due to the flat teeth we cause squash wounds that heal far worse than pierce wounds as a pointy teeth animal would do, or cuts. Regarding human strength, you can technically bite a finger off like a carrot, but your brain doesn't allow you to do it. You can technically also rip someone's ears and nose off, they don't hold on as strong as you'd think they do, but you certainly can't pry half a head off just like that.

Cat bites, even from indoor domestic pets, will _always_ get infected unless you're a) very quick and efficient with topical antiseptic or b) very lucky. Plan your hospital visit as soon as you're bitten, thoroughly disinfect and keep watching for any signs of increased redness or inflammation. Darker colours, especially if the move up the arm, should be treated as a genuine medical emergency, if you don't get to a hospital you will die, sort of severity.

Years ago, my dad got bitten by a brown recluse spider. Trust me, you DON'T want to get bitten by a brown recluse. At best, you'll get a painful blister or ulcer that last about a week. At worst.... necrosis, requiring surgery and skin grafts.

Watch the local news. It’s overwhelmingly car accidents. Eating organic food and worrying about school shootings is a waste of time. Turns out driving 2000 pound machines while texting is a bad idea.

As mentioned in previous posts, driving while distracted is a terrible idea. It doesn't mean other things can't kill you (slowly) though. I disagree with the eating organic food and worrying about school shootings is a waste of time. If you do grow old, eating healthy will make it a far more pleasurable experience then when eating unhealthy. And worrying about school shootings might make difference towards gun control.

Fragranced Products are toxic. vention. Data were collected in June 2016 using an on-line survey with a representative national sample (n = 1098). Overall, 33% of Australians report health problems, such as migraine headaches and asthma attacks, when exposed to fragranced products. Of these health effects, more than half (17.1%) could be considered disabling under the Australian Disability Discrimination Act. Additionally, 7.7% of Australians have lost workdays or a job due to illness from fragranced product exposure in the workplace, 16.4% reported health problems when exposed to air fresheners or deodorizers, 15.3% from being in a room after it was cleaned with scented products, and 16.7% would enter but then leave a business as quickly as possible due to fragranced products. About twice as many respondents would prefer that workplaces, health care facilities and professionals, hotels, and airplanes were fragrance-free rather than fragranced. While 73.7% were not aware that fragranced products, even ones called green and organic, emitted hazardous air pollutants, 56.3% would not continue to use a product if they knew it did. This is the first study in Australia to assess the extent of adverse effects associated with exposure to common fragranced products. It provides compelling evidence for the importance and value of reducing fragranced product exposure in order to reduce and prevent adverse health effects and costs. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5122698/#:~:text=One%2Dthird%20of%20the%20Australian,health%20effects%20from%20fragranced%20products.&text=Common%20effects%20include%20respiratory%20problems%2C%20migraine%20headaches%2C%20and%20asthma%20attacks.&text=Fragranced%20products%20resulted%20in%20lost,and%20restricted%20access%20in%20society.

Healthcare staff should never wear any kind of scented products. Getting on the elevator at the hospital I worked at was like walking through a perfume factory. Most people do not appreciate it.

Acetaminophen can cause liver damage in large quantities, yes (but not from prolonged use within guidelines). Naproxen, like most NSAIDs, is not generally associated with liver or kidney damage, although it has a higher risk of gastric issues than other drügs in its class, so is often prescribed along with PPIs to help reduce stomach acid levels.

The area from the corners of your mouth to the bridge of your nose is known as the "triangle of death", and you should avoid popping any pimples in this area. Due to the connectivity/proximity with the brain, an infection of that area can lead to cavernous sinus thrombosis (CST), or a blood clot in your cavernous sinuses. If you have a zit in that area, leave it alone!
