Lainey Molnar's art becomes the canvas for reflecting society, portraying the modern woman’s journey in a world pulsating with diverse narratives. The artist fearlessly navigates through the pressures that women face daily. With her thought-provoking comics, she challenges the norms and celebrates honest womanhood.

The illustrations serve as a fun yet profound exploration of various topics, from traditional expectations to contemporary dialogues around feminism, body image, abortion, mental health, social stereotypes, relationships, etc.

Overall, each girl can relate to Lainey Molnar's comics, as the artist aims to inspire and empower women. Would you like to know more about the artist and look at some feminine-inspired illustrations? You are at the right place, so we better start, shall we?

Who Is Lainey Molnar?

According to the web search results, Lainey Molnar's real name is Lainey D. Molnár. She is a Hungarian living in Amsterdam, Netherlands. As social media doesn't reflect reality nowadays, Lainey successfully spreads social messages through her Instagram. Lainey began posting her art on Instagram in October 2019.

Eventually, she stepped away from social media due to persistent online harassment. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she began sharing the signature drawings she became known for. Some were portraits of people like Meghan Markle, Lady Gaga, and Emma Watson. Best known for her comics, Lainey is also a motivational speaker, owning her online course Soul Sister Academy

Furthermore, a Lainey Molnar meme was created, the Laineyball. It’s an exploitable meme character based on Lainey Molnar. 4chan, the popular image board community, was the platform where it went viral. Laineyball and 4chan users intend to annoy the author by making it more popular than the original comic.

Condoms ARE uncomfortable! I imagine they don't feel too comfortable for a woman either. [Start Dodgy infomercial voice now] That's why you need... LUBE. Simply place a little inside the condom for more comfortability for YOU, and plenty on the outside for your partner. Don't forget to trim your pubes to avoid 'snagging'. LUBE! So from us here at LUBE, we say to you: Don't be a prick, put a condom on your d**k. But make sure you remember, to add some lube your member.

I was about to down vote you until I saw the stuff about LUBE. It's the best. There's this idea that you only need it if there's a problem with the vagina, but no-- it's great. I love lube.

Same reason why the men's contraceptive stopped the tests! Men had mild irritations so they stopped it! Meanwhile women through history have died in the process of making safe contraception methods! But who cares right?

DID YOU KNOW: They developed a male birth control pill, with nearly the same efficacy of the female birth control pill? It was shot down because it had all of the same side effects. So where's my damn pill? We'll let women suffer so we don't have to wear condoms, but when an alternative came down to share/carry said suffering, we shot it down? I want my birth control pill, so my wife doesn't have to take hers. Men are jerks.

Thank you. But I'd like to suggest something else to you, if I may. Vasectomy. Because it's getting easier to reverse all the time, and vasectomy is also associated with a *reduction* in mortality, from ANY and ALL causes. Something to think about.

This ! Vasectomies are fully reversable, I think boys should all have one and have a reversal when they are mature and financially stable and ready to have a child.

As a midwife student, I disagree: it is still a surgical intervention, and it sometimes cannot be reversed, and there is no way to know in advance whether it will be reversible or not. However, teaching kids together (don't separate safe sex ed in boys vs girls classes!) about contraception and consent, should be the prerogative in any school.

I gotta say, not all abortions are traumatic. I go with this post and I support the fact that it can be traumatic and it shouldn't be taken lightly, but please don't take away from women the fact that the strength of their free choice and self-respect can make an abortion a desirable and acceptable thing to live. Of course it depends on the woman, the context of the unwanted pregnancy, the people on her path, meds as well as close ones... I say this as someone who sees a lot of different women coming in to get an abortion, and leaving with a smile on their face because they're doing what they want :) Plus, in a country/state where abortion is legal, an unwanted pregnancy is by far safer to have than an STI!

I have a PhD, work full time at a university as as scholar and project manager and also work in a café/bar on weekends (just because I enjoy the company and change of scenery; scholars can be really dull). It*s really amusing how SOME people treat me differently, depending on the context. Helps determine who is cool and who is not. Moral? Always treat others with respect

I earned a Sociology/Psychology BA over 4 years and ended up with a really poor job as a Social Worker even though my BA was harder and cost more to get than someone who took a 2 year Social Work course at college. They seemed to get better jobs. I found a job as a cook in a group home and earned more than I would of if I continued the other job. I later found a good position as a Social Worker. People should treat others as they wish to be treated 'I'm A Black Cat'.

A problem that is amazingly non-gendered. Funny how you're attempting to frame it as a woman's problem when men are treated this way, too. And yes, I am counting the problems women like to think only affect them are are just as equally harmful to men. Why do you ask?

Valid reasons for a man to be childless? Be a man. In fact, for a man you call it child free since he is not less of a man without having children! That double standard makes me angry 😤 I am a mom and my sister is not. I have heard that being questioned, but indeed it's no ones business. She never questioned anyone for having children. Where's the respect and common decency?

I get what the artist is trying to point out, but from my experience with both this just feels like it's pitting people with chronic physical conditions against those with mental conditions. We have more in common with each other than with anyone else. The problem is a society that refuses to accommodate anyone who can't output the maximum amount of profit on their own.

Maybe you can add a “have you tried to cure yourself with yoga?” speech bubble to one of the nurses the first panel, and lose the smile on the patient’s face. Also lose the cards and flowers. Unless it’s a one-time hospitalization that won’t burden anyone long term, our families have mostly ditched us for not being able to do housework anymore, and our friends because we stopped being fun.

The myth that people with physical disabilities or illnesses are able to get the care they need and aren't gaslit and abused and treated horribly by the medical profession and by society needs to go die in a pit. It isn't even just people with physical illnesses or disabilities that are invisible. Disabled people are treated like crap by doctors and society, period. We need to be uniting not continuing this in-fighting that the grass is greener on the other side of disability.

I think that's true of disabled people, who are seen as "less than", but not so much people who are having problems that might be fixed. My mother had cancer and the 3 years before she died she got a lot of help and attention from all directions. Same thing with several family members that had heart attacks and another family member that tore his ACLU in a football game. I don't know of anyone who had temporary physical ailments that were abandoned to suffer alone.

Wow! I lucked out. When I told my doctor I was depressed, she asked me what was wrong, prescribed me an anti-depressant, refered me to a therapist, and cautioned me that the meds may only be a band-aid (also that the meds could make me feel worse before they made me feel better), and she made me promise that I would talk to someone. She also let me know that a lot of churches offer support meetings, and the fact that I'm agnostic would not matter.

I can attest to this as a Hashimotos sufferer. I spent the first 30 years of my life eating constantly, unable to gain enough weight to be healthy...now eat less than 1,000 calories per day and still gain/can't lose a pound. People have no clue how common autoimmune thyroid disease, diabetes, etc are, but treat thin (even unhealthy thin) people MUCH better than med-large people. I've experienced both extremes. And it's not just the public, it's doctors & nurses, too. Invisible disease is the the worst disease bc if you look "normal", you're treated like a liar, lazy, etc.

Yes yes yes! Fellow Hashimotos sufferer so I understand. But I'll tell the story of sis in law who is a marathon runner and runs a MIN of 15 miles a day. Always been super thin. She suddenly lost her appetite and period and actually GAINED energy and started adding biking to the running. Yet she gained 60 lbs in two months. She was sent to an endocrinologist who "listened" to her symptoms and first thing out of his mouth was that she needed to eat less and exercise more and obviously she was lying because the whole calorie in/calorie out thing meant she MUST have been eating and not exercising. She was livid. He didn't listen to a word she said and just assumed this was some fat lazy woman. It took 12 years of Drs like that and others who said it was all in her head before someone finally listened to her for real and did testing and found out she had a tumor on her pancreas.

Medical problems aside (making up a very small percentage of the technically obese) what many call genetics ( in my opinion) can be translated into "My family always ate high fat, sugar, and high carb foods like snack food, and little vegetables, raw fruits , etc. food, so that's what i eat. So they inherit (by choice, or not excluding it) that kind of diet. This is not to say the overweight can't be successful, have great personalities, and make good friends.

Eleven years ago my beloved Son, USN Aviation, served 28 12 years and he was/is my hero. However, he went where I would never tread ( I was married for 55 years. My beloved wife died Feb 11, 2019 from ALS, dreadful way to die ). Adultery ! Since that time he and I are sociable but he lost my respect as a son and a man. My daughter-in-law is now treated as my daughter. She calls me dad, and I call her my daughter. She is a single Mom of 11 years, self made woman, successful, hard working, self esteem, etc. Saturdays are devoted to her daughter Sasha Valentina. Sunday is church, non-denominational . My marriage of 55 years was totally by compromise. I loved her dearly but she was bipolar. Chew on that for awhile.

The artist told Bored Panda she has a miles-long list of illustration ideas on her phone: “I sometimes literally wake up in the middle of the night to write down new ones, and I grab my phone to make notes at any point when I see something inspiring.”

When she sits down and draws that idea from the list, she finds it resonates with the moment. As Lainey sometimes loves to binge-watch TV shows while drawing, she says: “Still, usually, I like to create an ambiance, like candles, incense, and good music, because I believe the vibes and emotions also go into every artwork.”

Getting out of a toxic relationship is far more impressive and deserves far more celebration than a wedding. For one, when you get married, you cannot be sure that things will be better, unlike when you get out of a toxic relationship...

This reminds of the fable 'The Man, The Boy and The Donkey' - A man, his son go to town with wares carried by a donkey. Someone calls them fools for not riding on the donkey. The man puts the boy on the donkey. They pass a group of men shaming the boy for making an old man walk. The man tells the boy to get down and gets on the donkey. They pass by a group of ladies who shame the man for making his son walk. The man takes the boy up onto the donkey with him. They get to town and people are shouting how the donkey is carrying too much. The son and father got down, thought, then grabbed a long pole tying the donkey to like an animal on a spit. The man and boy carried each end but the donkey wasn't happy and wriggled out a hoof. They were over a bridge and the loss of balance caused them to drop the pole with the donkey over the bridge. An older man who was following them yelled "That will teach you." Moral: "Please all, and you will please no one."

I've read this version growing up, as a Greek tale, and then in a different variation from a Turkish one (about a man who ended up placing wheels under his oven, because everyone who passed from his house criticized it for facing the wrong direction). I think many countries have this tale in several variations!

I have five children. When they were younger and I had them all with me when I was out in public, I'd get comments like, "You *do* know what causes that, right?" Even my *father* said, "What are you going for - Cheaper By The Dozen?"

I think it would be eye-opening for Americans to visit nude beaches in Europe. People of all ages, genders, shapes and sizes are chilling out and enjoying themselves with no shame. There is no concept that your body has to look a certain way to exist on the beach.

I struggle a lot with this. I want so badly to feel comfortable, but I just don't. Now I try to focus on body neutrality and on what my body can do instead of how it looks. For me it's about being thankful that I can work and I can take care of my loved ones. I can make happy memories with my children at the beach. They don't care what mom looks like, they only want to have fun and I don't want to poop on that party and bring my body shame on them. My mom refused to wear a bathing suit and go in the water with me and I never understood why until I learned about body image and society and that you "have to" be beautiful. As a child, I just thought "mom doesn't want to bathe with me, what did I do?". I don't want my kids to feel that, so I try hard to not focus on that I would rather look like this or that.

I used to feel exactly the same way. My kids complain they don’t even have photos of me. Then one day at the beach I just though “Who the hell are these people? I’ll never see them again.” I look just like the drawing of the green bathing suit. It’s so awesome!

    Is Lainey Molnar Art Personal?

When asked whether she has any personal favorites from her illustrations, Lainey said it’s the one where she compares “someone with physical health struggles” and “someone with mental health struggles.”

The artist shared that this is because it’s a very personal one. Lainey admits she struggled with her mental health for over 18 years. So, she is the one who knows how complicated it can be living with this invisible illness.

Even though Lainey usually explores female empowerment topics straightforwardly or funnily, the artist also adds, “Still, at the end of the day, we are all simply human beings. I find it crucial to address stigmatized topics because it gives so many of us relief to know that we aren't alone.”

The very definition of natural is 'existing in or derived from nature'. Your body is natural until you have an unnatural change. Pregnancy is one of the most natural things there is!

My wife disagrees on pregnancy being "the most natural thing there is" and I support her right to be anti pregnancy. Women are not baby making machines, natural or otherwise. Other achievements are just as natural as pregnancy.

honestly, I look like a violin. it's hard for me because I've been called fat and ugly and other words that I care not to mention. I'm only in the 6th grade and I'm worried to wear anything remotely tight because of my sides and stomach. I feel like nobody would want a body like this and I even researched if I could get my fat removed. I eat a salad every day and do dance class every other day.

6th grade? That would be roughly 12 or 13 years old. If you are active and eat well, then there is nothing to worry about. Do what makes you happy. I know it's hard to reconcile how you look with how you feel you should, but take it from me: trying to remove fat/slim youself down quickly will only hurt you. Don't go down the same path I did, please. You are amazing no matter what you look like.

UGH I NEED THIS! I’ve developed quite early for my age, and am self-conscious whenever I see another girl that looks nothing like me (which is everyone in my grade). My body type is like the girl on the right’s, and I’m still in middle school. Well, my breasts and waist are a bit smaller, but still. That’s what I’ll prolly look like when I;m older.

Aww~ yes. I need a business suit rn and It's disturbing being shoved to the plus size part of a shop (with way less stuff to choose from), while being perfectly average im height and weight.😐 It's a constant mental fight for my friend - I consider her average to, but seemingly she corners the "good luck"-range 😑

I have to say that I'm almost same kilos for some years now (+/-2-3 kilos) and I'm at average body type with big hips! However every year is worse in finding clothes! I got from medium to large and even extra large in some brands and makes me wonder how people with only a few kilos more than me find clothes? What's the logic of the brands? My body type is the type that most customers have but they don't care? They want less customers?

Felt this. Im 5'4, 200lbs, i exercise a lot and im constantly trying to slim down so i can wear "cute clothes" but recently i discovered.. Its not my small gut. Its my fat/muscular everything else. I have huge thighs and a pretty big butt. So pants that fit right in the wsist are very hard to get over everything else because of the general size crap. So i always end up wearing baggy, stretchy clothes and not the stuff i wanna wear, like pleated skirts and button up tops.

Can we stop pretending these are the same thing? They're not. And as "empowering" as you try to make it, pole dancing is still strongly associated with strip clubs, where women are employed in perhaps the starkest and most direct manner possible of becoming objects for men's sexual pleasure. I can't believe I have to say this, but strip clubs are not palaces of feminism, and it makes me sad that women are so eager to take on a traditional symbol of their own exploitation. Just because strippers as individuals should be treated with as much dignity as the next person and do not deserve the epithets often hurled at them, this does not mean that their job or the place they work is neutral/good for women as a whole. Not everything women do is empowering because it is done by women.

The caption is being disingenuous. Very, very few pole dancers make a living by just dancing; it's about taking clothes off. Of course the art and athleticism of the dance takes massive effort and deserves respect, but these two are simply not in the same trade. The same goes for Fred Astaire and Magic Mike.

Pole dancing is not about taking clothes off. It is, like any other dance form, or sport, about expressing yourself and doing something you enjoy. Yes, we do tend to wear crop tops and hot pants - largely because advanced moves up the pole (usually a couple of metres off the floor) require skin grip. Not everyone who does pole strips, and not everyone who strips does pole. The two are not synonymous.

I'm amused by all the white knights here, defending strippers and "pole dancing." Oh, I'm sure "pole dancing" may be somewhat difficult, but if you think strippers are pole dancing experts, you're delusional. The pole is a prop; the "dance" is about taking your clothes off and exciting a bunch of horny, pathetic men, and getting their money. Putting these two together, trying to liken one to the other, is ridiculous and laughable.

Having dated both a professional dancer and an exotic dancer (i.e. a stripper), I can guarantee that the professional dancer works much harder at her career... but also feels more rewarded by it and doesn't see it as a quick way to make a buck while she searches for her real career.

What Motivates Modern Women Like Lainey?

Motivation and creative block are some of the most crucial topics for all modern women, especially artists. Lainey hasn’t had to experience creative block very often. The illustrator claims she simply has too much to say: “In an ideal world, a lot of what I’m communicating would be obvious, but as we’re not there yet, I don't mind processing the same pain points over and over again via a visual medium.”

Lainey is thrilled about the feedback she gets, as she says it’s “overwhelmingly positive.” Of course, that would drive any artist’s self-esteem, right? So, Lainey’s case is also not an exception, as she finds feedback as an endless source of motivation.

Understandable; generally those ladies are the ones who have to endure the most crap from society, so they have a stronger bond than most straight couples mighht have. They're used to weathering the storms. Not all lesbians, I know, but generally from what I've experienced, this seems to be true.

And for all the people who want to reinforce so-called traditional genders, it depends on the time and place. Louis XIV, King of France in the 1600s, wore pink silk, stockings, high heels, makeup, and wigs. But he was also the height of masculinity and led his country and multiple wars. English nobleman in the Renaissance wore pearl earrings. Gender presentation is a social construct.

This is part of my confusion about "transgender" people. When I've heard the men talk about identifying as women they say they knew they were women because of their fascination with fashion, doing their hair and nails, etc. But that's not what being a woman is about. All the men identifying as women that I've listened to seem to see women with a very narrow lens that I find offensive. Do they identify with all of being a woman? No, they don't. They can't possibly comprehend the shame in a single drop of menstrual blood leaking through their pants in public. Life as a boy is very different than a girl and it's not boiled down to dresses and make-up. Also, I would think the guys that are really into hair, make-up, nails, and what's considered feminine smells and colors... Would be the regular men. I don't understand how men, who profess to love women, have more respect for women who try to imitate men in their manner, dress, and interests.

It's better for them to be supported by your hand than to hold them around their stomachs. The baby will let you know when it's time for a cuddle, then turn them around to let them nuzzle into your neck for comfort. Mine loved curling up with his head just under my chin. No, nobody can take that away. But I wonder what "pro-choice" couples tell themselves when they experience a miscarriage. I wonder if it's harder on them because they have to remind themselves that nothing happened.

People don't believe this. My daughter died from SIDS @ 2 months old and because she died, my OB didn't feel like I needed my body checked out after giving birth. I was shocked. Her death did not change the fact that 8 weeks before, my body gave birth to her. They also didn't feel like I needed any help at all with the PAIN from my breasts being engorged with milk since I breastfed her. It was like none of it happened. Erased. I had a 2 year old too but they still treated me like I wasn't a mother. It was unreal.

I can confirm. After having spent 35 years of insecurity over different aspects of my body, now that I am pregnant and my body is growing another human being, I'm astonished and very very satisfied with my body even though it has changed enormously.

Dude, facts. Her body can literally create and grow a baby from scratch, feed the baby and carry it for nine months, then go through the extremely painful process of birthing the child. Her body can handle all that (plus cramps every month that can be and often are as painful as a heart attack), and yet it’s still commonplace for the child to get the father’s last name?

    What Influences Lainey’s Art?

Artists like Adam Ellis, Tiny Moron, and Wowocomics inspire Lainey. She says: “They all have very different styles and a very different sense of humor, but I think it always comes down to personality that shines through the art, so there is space for all unique creators to show how they perceive the world.”

Take out both ear buds. Straighten your back, hold head high, keep your bloody hands free of phones or whatever. Keep your keys turned through your knuckles like brass knuckles. Try to always look confident. These are some rules my big brother gave me when I went off to college. He was special forces and he taught me quick but effective ways to defend myself. Keeping your head up and being confident sends a don't mess with me message. If you have to use the kick to the coconuts, make sure you kick them HARD! Push "those coconuts into his throat" hard. Then when they are down, kick them again in the eyes, face or into the side of a knee. You want them unable to see or run after you. Best trick he taught me was when grabbed, swing around quick enough to surprise him, men don't expect a fight, quick him as I described and when his head is coming down to grab himself, bring your other knee under his chin to snap his head back. Once that's done take off grabbing your cell to call 911.

This is the best one IMHO. SOOOOOO TRUE!!! Always be on guard. Though I'd recommend against anything that'd block hearing including just one earbud. I'd also text a friend ahead of time so they know when you are arriving and to look out for you/know when you should have arrived if you go missing or if something happens. If going to a venue or bar or busy place I also ask for a male friend to meet me outside as to not be harassed when passing drunks, hoards of dudes, etc. on the way in. Park under/near street lights. Look and listen & be aware of anyone who may be around you before going to unlock your car or bike. Get in quick & lock the doors. If biking, go as fast as possible through darker areas. Keep focused. If walking, try to not look female if possible. Keep your hair tucked. Walk fast. Have keys in grip and be ready to shank! <3 Get home safe! <3 Text friends to let them know you made it home.

This aint just women. I'm a 32 male, 6'"1 and 250 pounds. Walking home at midnight downtown last night I had my hands out of my pockets, earbuds were put away, eyes up and alert, while only sticking to well-lit areas. It's a matter of safety.

It is really annoying when guys want to compare notes with a female's world, especially with your height and weight. You may get robbed and hit, but MOST likely not kidnapped or raped and then made to feel like its your fault because you were out at night. Get real. You may be cautious and aware, but it would be nothing compared to what a female has to be. Safety is a given for everyone, but females have it way much harder than you and that is in anywhere they go.

This is sad. Where I'm from (I live in Copenhagen, Denmark), most women don't feel that they have to be THAT careful. At least that's my impression. I don't think I know anybody who "arms" themselves. As for me personally, I'm in my fourties, and I've only felt unsafe outside at night a handful of times in my life.

I lived in Copenhagen the first 40 years of my life and only once felt unsafe. A man was following me, and that made me not want to go directly home, så I went down a different street. He still followed and the fear made me very angry so at last I turned around and hissed at him to leave me alone. That is when I found my eyes would shoot lightning when I was that angry. It was mirrored in his eyes. He literally backed off and went away.

Actually women should walk like in the left hand side picture...All I can think is this: predators will only approach a woman that either looks lost, insecure or is drunk or tipsy. Because they appear vulnerable. If you stand up proud, back straight, head up high and walk and act like you own the street, the likelyhood of becoming a target would probably decrease...on the other hand don't take my word for it...I have employed this throughout my life and so far has worked. I walk place on my own at night all the time, in various more or less dodgy areas. Rarely felt in danger. My friends keep telling me they can hear me coming by the way I walk...as If with each step I dig my heels into the tarmac and the ground shakes. Walk tall and proud like you mean business ladies! Wear heels and shoes with auditory impact. Predators are by nature cowards and only go for vulnerable individuals. If you seem as if you will put up a fight, they won't consider it.

Do you really think they see a woman like the one you describe and they will say "Oh, this is a business woman, we don't have to rob her, let's go for someone else"? No! They always try to follow you and wait for a moment in which you are alone/vulnerable and attack you

It hurt so bad that I burned my abdomen with the hot water bottle and didn't know it until 2 days later. My skin being burned couldn't be felt at all. Vicious cramps. Then that added to all the other Covid mess...

This, I understand. Skin stretches, blotches, people get acne and just no treatment is possible to fully remove the scars. Very few people can afford the money and time to spend on treatments and lotions/diets to have a perfect silky skin.

    What's Up With Lainey Molnar?

One of Lainey’s most significant projects was releasing a book Mating in Captivity: Reconciling the Erotic and the Domestic. As she has worked in publishing and was a blogger for more than a decade, the artist claims herself as a “huge bookworm.” Hence, captions in Laine’s art play an equal role as the illustrations themselves.

Daily, she shares her art with her one million followers on her Instagram. Lainey keeps her comics consistent, exploring the same social topics and keeping an authentic style, as she claims: “I really hope that I can create something magical that will help women be happier and more liberated from societal expectations.”

I'll have to say, though, having larger breasts, like at the top right, comes with a lot of problems in your daily life and overall health. They are very heavy on the shoulders and back, and makes you front-heavy so you're compensating the imbalance by curving your back in.

YES! I'm 5"4 with H/I cups and it's a nightmare. If I lose my sleep bras and go without a bra it pulls out my chest wall and causes costochondritis which has pain that mimics a heart attack. It's truly awful. I'm only 16 years old and my family doctor already has me on a list for a plastic surgeon because I cannot even walk upstairs without holding my boobs.

Unless they're mine. I love them but I don't think they love me. I'm 5'4 and have H/I cups the size of my head. I have to wear a bra 24/7 and if I lose my sleep bra the weight of my own breasts pulls at my chest wall and causes costochondritis which mimics a heart attack pain-wise... All breasts are perfect breasts unless they are full of cancer or cause you stabbing pains. I'm currently on the waiting list to get these puppies hopefully down to a C or D. Then they'll be perfect.

A sigh always lets the bad energy out, whether it's a breathing exercise during meditation or a sigh of relief after a long day of work.

Not everyone can meditate. Stressful to me since I’ve never been able to visualize stuff except maybe extremely vaguely in the past, or “empty my mind” or stop thinking or whatever it is, but both of those are against my religion (Byzantine Catholic) anyway. But also, trying to “be mindful” doesn’t work either. “Being present”? To be not present is to be dead. “Not judging”? I already know the difference between right and wrong. Even the hippies and SJWs promoting mindfulness know that racism is wrong, for example. Of course I’m going to judge racism as wrong, all day. “Taking delight in your own goodness”, a.k.a. virtue signaling: disgusting. And pride: also against my religion. Concentrating on breathing? Incredibly tedious. My breathing is normal, and then I MOVE ON ALREADY. My “self-care” is drinking tea and water, playing video games, philosophy, theology, medicine or physical therapy when I need it, and walks if the weather is ideal. My personality type: INTP.

Yeah, there was that post a few days ago with the fat woman taking photos of herself in pretty dresses. So. much. body. shaming. "SHE'S GLORIFYING MORBID OBESITY. WON'T SOMEBODY THINK OF THE CHILDREN." "I'M NOT BODY SHAMING, I'M JUST CONCERNED ABOUT HER HEALTH." And that last bit is total bull$hit, by the way. If they were really concerned about people's health you'd hear them when people glorify things that are much more dangerous, like climbing Mt. Everest, cave diving, base jumping, wingsuit flying, that sort of thing...

I gained weight! I am so happy as it means that I am no longer as close to being underweight as I was! Freshman year of college, I ended up LOSING 25 pounds rather than gaining the Freshman 15, due in part to depression and not wanting to eat, and I was slightly worried since I was close to being underweight. But I’m getting back towards being healthy!

Men don't care, complete strangers tell us what to do with our face, our makeup, our clothes, how to talk, how to sit, how to behave, all unprompted and unwanted, because they think their opinion is more important than our wants and needs.

As someone with small breasts and hardly any sweat (except in the warmest weather or after a workout), who mostly wears tops/"bras" made with breathable comfy fabrics with rarely any foam filling, yes. EDIT: we all have different body types, body needs, lifestyles, and live in places with different weathers... if it's not dirty, smelly etc., why should it be wrong? And if it is, the breast wearers must have their reasons - let's not judge, and mind our own business.

Most women don't generate BO to the insane degree that men do. As long as the bra's still comfortable and not sweat-logged, why not keep using it for a while?

I believe this is referencing to maturity change. Such as letting go toxic friends, putting yourself first instead of pleasing others, finding new goals in life. Those are good changes that often cause drift between friends and loved ones.

Winter in my teens was a whole snowsuit with snow pants, a scarf wrapped around my neck and head, earmuffs, toque, with 3 pairs of pants, 4 shirts including a bunnyhug and 3 pairs of socks, those cotton gloves and a pair of thick mittens and Sorel boots and I was fine to be outside for about an hour before my fingers and toes started going numb.

Exactly! I've always thought those lights were terrible! Isn't that a marketing fail? I'd guess it would be smarter to use flattering lights ( and mirrors) so you look good, think the garment you're trying is also flattering and therefore buy the garment. If I look awful I'm definitely not prone to buy it...

After my daughter was born I thought not doing anything for myself was being a good mom until the public health nurse gently reminded me that it's important to take care of myself. In order to be a good mom you have to put yourself first. That stuck with me.

They call that the 'airplane oxygen mask theory'. On an airplane they tell you "in the event the oxygen masks come down, parents please put the oxygen mask on yourself first, and then place it on your children." Because if you pass out from lack of oxygen, you can't help your children. The same goes for taking care of yourself when you're NOT on an airplane. If you're not taking care of YOURSELF you won't be able to take care of your children.

You sound like you need a hug 🤗. To me, this comic is more saying that people who think they need a partner to be accepted by society don't have to look further than their own mirror because they are a whole unit without a partner. Women are often thought of as 'defective' if they don't have a partner by family, coworkers, friends, random strangers, telemarketers....

This post is false. We have no idea who's healthy, do any of them eat to much or have chronic diseases? You can't say someone is healthy with pictures alone.

She's saying healthy women look different. Obviously if they have chronic diseases or eating disorders, they aren't healthy but you can't tell that by pictures alone either. It's the message that's being conveyed moron. Go read a book

yes it could depend on the family's influence over her but generally muslim families are much more relaxed and their children make choices for themselves about dress style. Of course for more practicing families in religion, the girl will have to work a lil hard to be heard. This isn't always the case though

Being a responsible grownup is shown through actions not two pictures. She could abuse that child or be wasting her life away with a coffee addiction for anyone knows.

You clearly don't understand the message. A responsible grown up can be both a parent working hard to raise their kids and a normal who's working hard for themselves

I have hypothyroidism. It doesn't matter how healthy I eat or how much I work out, I'm going to be plus-sized; yet people have no problem judging me as lazy, slobbish, whatever based on how I look.

I have prolactinoma. Many people with this condition find they gain weight like crazy and cannot keep it off no matter what. It used to be hard for me to gain weight until this slow growing cyst appeared in my pituitary gland. Now I have a hard time staying below 170. I'd have to reduce meals to one a day and find the energy to work out. That is not healthy. Most often, people are not "overeating" or eating just garbage food. We eat the same as everyone else. We get full soon after we eat like everyone else. We get hungry just as often as everyone else.

If I lose weight, say, even 20 pounds, I’ll be underweight… but I find a struggle to even eat some days because of the emotions whirling around in my head and sometimes because of an apathy towards eating.

One of the defining aspects of good plastic surgery is that you can't tell it's not natural. So plastic surgery has a bad reputation overall because people only see the botched ones.

In this cruel, shallow, discriminatory society, plastic surgery has become a necessity for whoever does not want to die lonely and broke. Koreans, Chinese and Brazilians are just less hypocritical than other people.

It only messes up the body if it is botched or extreme looking. My sister got a bbl (brazilian butt lift) and she looks great and natural
