People sure do love to take pictures of silly cats. So much, in fact, that a survey commissioned by a cat litter company found cat owners taking an average of 7 pictures of their adorable cats per day. Per day. (But cat owners aren’t the only ones—check out our lists of dog Snapchats, too.)
If you’re a pet owner, you’re probably nodding and saying that sounds about right. Even if you didn’t take any funny photos of the light of your life today, you probably can’t find anything on your phone without scrolling through the dozens you took trying to get the right shot a few days ago, so it all evens out.
Of the millions of pictures out there of funny cats getting stuck in inexplicable places, being jerks, and charming us into letting them use us as beds for hours nonetheless, we managed to limit ourselves to, oh, just 12 dozen or so of best snapchats.
Scroll down, have a look, and don't forget to upvote your favorite hilarious cats!

Basically, for as long as we as a civilization have had cats, we have been carrying them around like babies, complaining about how they won’t help out around the house, and making them wear goofy hats.
Accordingly, for as long as we have had cameras, we have been taking hilarious photos of them and accompanying them with funny captions.
It’s likely that any form of visual expression we invent will be used for cat pictures.
In 2018, Snapchat gave a shoutout to this huge part of its userbase by debuting filters for cats. It doesn’t look like these are still available, but while you wait for Snapchat to bring them back or introduce another round, you can try out this cat filter (for human faces).
Cats’ unusual reactions to the funny Snapchat filter have some concerned owners suspecting that their cats understand when they are looking at a reflection, a behavior which scientists have still not confirmed in cats.
I had a conversation with a friend that told me this stray orange cat would show up on her doorstep every evening when she came home from work. She'd feed him, pet him..let him lay all over her couch. Then every evening around 8, he'd stand at the door waiting to be let out. She said, this went on for several weeks. Then one day she was driving home early and saw the same cat sitting in the window of the neighbors house down the street. Clever little bugger was working the neighborhood getting free meals and lots of attention.
Had a coworker who had a cat that was indoor/outdoor and would sometimes not come home for a few days. One day he showed up and had been neutered by someone else in the neighborhood. I guess that's where he was going when he would disappear for a few days and they even named him something else. The cat was probably regretting his decision to be "adopted" by the second family....but glad they were responsible and got him fixed, unlike my co-worker.
When I was young, we had two black cats, Rock and Roll. Well Roll always visited a house down the street as it seemed that she didn't like other pets in the home. It happened so much my mother just told the people to keep her as that is where she was happy.
I've often wondered if my cat was cheating on us with another family.
I cut my fly screen so the 3 cats from next door can sneak in and sleep on my bed with the landlord knowing.. Win win
As adorable as it is, people need self control. If it's not yours don't feed it.
You have not got the basics about this. If the cat has made you his/her human, you'd better feed it.
Load More Replies...Cash lives across the street officially and Roger Dodger lives up the block about 4 houses. They have there own water/kibble/wet food dishes.....and their own "spots" with blankies and such in our very small house. It should be noted, we have to take into consideration "Lucky", my son's cat, who actually "really" lives here.
LOL My sister moved to Kansas to be with her boyfriend. There was this black cat that kept coming to his place asking for attention. the cat looked exactly like one he had lost in a house fire recently so this cat was called the same name etc... My sister and her BF were taking care of the cat and every morning the cat would ask to be let out at 6 am but would be back by 8 pm. They took him to the vet for shots and discovered he was already owned by a family just across the street. He was double dipping but would go home to be there when his girl woke up and come back to my sister's place after his girl went to bed.
My roommate and I adopted an orange floofy boy who was a neighborhood stray who had to have had some Maine C**n ancestry as he grew to 18 pounds once he had regular meals. One day, he was laying under the bushes in front, not an unusual activity. Except that I turned around, looked at our back door, and there he was. I checked on the cat out front and sure enough, he had a different collar on with the name "Mikey" on it and a phone number. I called the number and Mikey's dad came right over from a few blocks away, relieved that his Mikey, an indoor only cat, had been found and was so close to home. Mikey was maybe half a shade lighter than our Leo, but they looked almost identical. When our Leo went missing later that summer, I always wondered if Mikey's dad let Leo in one day, mistaking him for his own Mikey. Mikey had gotten out again as we saw from posters in the neighborhood. Leo was so friendly that he would flop down in front of anybody who might pet him. I miss him so much.
Our cat has recently had to join Weight Watchers at the vets because he has SO MANY PEOPLE TAKING PITY ON HIM
I had a friend who found out why his dog was putting on weight no matter how much he walked him. There was a photo in the local paper. The dog went from house to house, carrying his 'plate', an old cooking pot. That dog knew how to get the message across!
Load More Replies...Been there. Not in that house, I mean that my cat used to cheat on me with a neighbour. They also fed him, so that's ok.
She had to be freaking out every time the cat didn't come home after a few hours, much less a few days. I'd be beyond distraught.
Before we had a fence the neighbors cat would come up to our door and play with my dog through the door.
we as humans are slowly catching on their cunning techniques.. My family of four, my cat somehow convinces each one after the other wen they come home from work that its starving and havent been fed... it just wants to eat 5 times a day.
There's a children's book called "Seven Dinner Sid" that deals with this issue--seems like it's not so uncommon
I had one of those! He used to lie on my neighbour's marital bed and hiss when they asked him to leave! Mind you, their cat used to chase mine on my bed when I was trying to sleep! Sort of musical chairs, but without the chairs. Silly pair of pussies George and Julio.
Had the same thing once, neighbours were gone for days! Getting food and water trough the mailbox surely wasn't as easy as it sounds xD
There's a little old lady (who might or might not wear tennis shoes, I'll have to check ;-) down the road from us. Two of our three cats hang around her flat along with several others from up and down the road because she leaves out food for her own cat and passes them treats as well. I wouldn't mind so much but our ginger chonk is "trying" to lose weight and she is not helping >_<
Anyway, we're not going to run out of cat Snapchats any time soon. Happy scrolling and upvoting!
I think the fitness place is going to open a little late this morning...
Yeah, short legs. He does this to be able to sit up a little straighter to alleviate his back pain. You’ve got to love designer breeds! Who cares about health, as long as it looks cute, right? *puke*
Candy decided to sneak into our hand bag, thanks Barry and Lorna for picking her up so we can head off on our holiday. Fair play to airport security for helping to get her home so we could catch our flight
For those who don't know: a couple rushed to the airport but unbeknownst to them while packing their cat sneaked in the luggage. Obviously during security it caught the attention. The good news is their friends picked up their cat at the airport and they still made their flight!
Furniture looks better with fringes. At least that's what I keep telling myself.
My friend took her senior pictures with her Siberian Husky. They were like "You can't have your dog in your Senior picture!!" She was like "Watch me!"
This lovely cat became a meme, there are a lot of extremely cute fanarts of it :D https://www.boredpanda.com/cute-cat-peaches-ozzy-lydia-coutre/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=organic
"Excuse me Sir, do you have a moment to talk about our Lord and saviour Bastet ?"
The best part is, in the big mirror, he's looking at himself, but in the small mirror, he's looking down...it's amazing how a split second can change a photo...
I had a cat that would make the most demonic sounds when I put her in her crate. Seriously, it sounded like a constipated Satan had stepped on a leg-go.

Say whatever you want, but it would be hard to get similar cuteness with dogs. Cat +1
it's all in the eye of the beholder, and while I enjoyed these photos I will forever disagree with you. I am a dog person after all

awwww...she's (is it a girl, right?) absolutely adorable!
Load More Replies...I don't know how scientists haven't proven that cats understand mirrors yet. My cats freak out instantly at cats through windows but never, ever cared about themselves or each other in mirrors. (And I can guarantee that Frost Claw never saw one before we had him.) They do use the mirror to spy on each other though.
I agree, kittens and puppies react often to mirrors and think they see another cat/dog but they grow out of it. My dog used to watch me via the mirror. I personally think it's more that they don't care that they can see themselves, they are more outwardly directed than humans could ever understand.
Load More Replies..."(...) cat owners taking an average of 7 pictures of their cats per day (...)" There's someone out there taking 100s per day, because I take maybe 10 a month :)
Easy to understand the great number of photos, cats are popular, even some dog lovers, will also have a cat !!!
My stomach aches from all laughing and I still am wipeing happy-tears!!! Wonderful and hilarious!
Animals are so wonderful and delightful to have as friends and companions. They lower your heart rate....then increase it when they poop, throw up or pee on the new rug.
I hate it when they shorten the posts! "based on users votes". Bull!! Some of the comments are only 1 day old. when did who vote?
I think it's usually only a few hours. But there's a link to the rest of them now, there didn't used to be but people were understandably upset about that...

if u look at the last picture, on the bottom, it should say "Note: this post originally had 156 images. It’s been shortened to the top 40 images based on user votes." just click on 156 images and you'll be able to see all of them :)
