28 Celebrities’ Photoshopped Images That Were Impossible Not To See The Difference
Ever since Adobe Photoshop was invented back in 1987, our world has been no longer the same. In a nutshell, this program allowed people to edit, retouch, and create images, their compositions, and so on. The program’s name soon became a verb itself, as people started referring to photo editing as “photoshopping”.
When we say that people were photoshopping images, we don’t only mean those of objects and stuff – they photoshopped people too. In fact, the invention of this program changed the way magazines and photos of celebs look forever. From that point on, images of polished looks became a new normal.

Madonna we know that you are not in your twenties. Stop chasing relevance. We are all gonna age.

What happened? I met the wife of a well known celebrity years ago who was very pretentious and rude but her husband died and now I feel like I can't tell ppl how horrible she is because she went through a tragedy. She wasn't grieving when I met her through and her husband was at his peak but he was really nice. She also always looked really beautiful on film but irl I was like...."Out of all the beautiful women in the world he married you?" All I know is if I didn't believe professional makeup and lighting could make much of a difference before I was amazed after.
Load More Replies...Oh lord, the white in her eyes are like bleached teeth. I think there's a FRIENDS episode or something when a character has really white teeth and naybe also tanned?
Take a look at today’s list—it’s full of examples of celebs’ photos and the way they look before and after retouching with Photoshop. From enhancing hair color to removing wrinkles, acne scars, and slimming the body, there are plenty of ways photos of celebs can be manipulated to perfect their look.
Mariah Carey
I was looking at the text, wondering why there were visible tears on her dress - was she crying??? Then realised it means tears, not tears.
What you see are lies. It doesn't surprise me people buy into this.
Faith Hill
It's completely mental that they felt the need to touch up the image. The left image literally would have had zero negative effect on my impression of the magazine.
Load More Replies...She looks like a normal human on the left.. the right looks like her face is barely visible and completely whitened out.. what’s the point of it?
I think, being in show business, they are overly sensitive to tiny "flaws" that we don't even notice.

... taken just seconds apart, clearly showing that it;s been digitally manipulated.
Load More Replies...I can at least approve of the color filter. I'm not saying it was NECESSARY, but I get the use of color filters to change the mood of a photo.
On one hand, celebrities wanting their public photos to be enhanced is rather a human quality – if a picture of us were shared basically all over the world, we would want it to look as good as it can, wouldn’t we? After all, it’s no secret that we tend to judge people based on their appearance, at least on some level, even if only subconsciously.
So, having a chance to improve your looks in photos without altering your body is a good resource for celebs.
Britney Spears
They smoothed out her leg muscles, I mean if you've ever looked at dancers' legs, you'll see that they're incredibly muscular and strong. Why would you edit out what she's worked so freakin' hard for, like all dancers. They edited out her strength!!
Beyoncé
Meghan Trainor
And now the media and criticism has lead to a very unhealthy obsession and she looks very scarily thin.. skinnier than how they made her look on the right 😢
What happened to tellin' all them skinny bitches that? Dammit gurl! (It really is hard not to like that song)
Load More Replies...On the other hand, it makes them look unrealistic. The problem here is that these pics of celebs are usually presented as something common folks should strive for, and what makes matters worse is that they’re presented as reality when they’re far from it.
How can a person strive to have such a thin waist that, in reality, would require them to have no ribs? Or smooth skin that doesn’t even exist in reality? When we’re presented with such unachievable ideals, it’s easy to develop insecurities – no matter what you do, how much time and money you spend – you’ll never look like a photoshopped celebrity.
Madonna
Kiera Knightley
I remember her calling out the edits that gave her larger b r ea sts.
I admire her for that, tbh! She could've just been quiet and allowed people to think whatever, but she stood up for her body and that meant a lot to me as someone who's insecure about my own chest being too big.
Load More Replies...Fergie
Apparently to give her more of that "unable to smile due to botox" look. They literally editted in botox face paralysis.
Load More Replies...Of course, now we, along with famous people like Jameela Jamil, Lady Gaga, and others, are more and more vocal about how overly photoshopped images aren’t such a good thing. Yet, it doesn’t change the fact that the images keep getting edited, even if a tad more subtly than they used to before.
As we said before, for some celebs, this editing is a saving grace from their insecurities, but when these perfected images are being sold as the goal for others, then it becomes a problem.
Zendaya
The left pic looks great! She actually has a little bit of a shape to her and then the right picture is just straight up and down.
Load More Replies...She actually called out the magazine that printed the edited version and posted the real one online.
Gwen Stefani
Don't know what happened to her. She used to be sweaty and grungy and rock and roll, and then got super weird with the glam look and surgeries. She looked fine before all that.
She became a MAGA barbie, no surprise she's detached from reality.
Load More Replies...She was great when in No Doubt but she sold out with that s****y music to teach us how to spell bananas. There's literally No Doubt she went bananas.
these are different photos, taken in different places, at different times, with different lighting and posing
Britney Spears
I see what she was going for, I think, but the cheek and jaw definition mixes oddly with it.
Load More Replies...And even if you realize that they’re edited, it doesn’t mean that they can’t affect you. Plus, now with AI, the editing capabilities are broader than ever to the point where it’s hard to tell that it’s even edited, which opens a whole other plethora of problems.

She and her entire family are riding the wave of that s*x tape. They and all their little Kardashian clones make me sick to look at.
Their entire family has made it big for all the wrong reasons.. starting with the Kardashians dad representing a major messed up court case that let a criminal get away with one of the most shocking crimes.. Kris Jenner just knows her connections and that’s how they are staying famous and it’s so wrong

Honestly, think they choose a bit of a poor tone, too. Made the poor girl look pasty. Kind of an ironic choice given the hair color.
Load More Replies...She looks a lot better unretouched. Too pale and without facial definition in the cover pic.
Katy Perry
She has a great body without the retouching, but I've never thought she was a pretty woman.
yeah mine won't stop editing my face and it looks so stupid

Never heard of him, who the heck is he supposed to be? I had to look at both pics to actually be able to tell it's a guy. And my son just said he's a pedophile for marketing make-up to little boys. I would have to say that I agree with him.
The intention was that you would have difficulty telling he was Male. I'm not honestly certain if he's trans or what. She? Again, not certain what their deal is. Jeffree Star is of a similar vein (using broad strokes here in terms aesthetics, Jeffery is not accused of being a pedophile.). Marketing make-up is to little boys is technically not untrue, but a bit insensitive in some cases.
Load More Replies...and then In February 2021, a 16-year-old boy named Isaiyah posted a video to TikTok alleging that Charles groomed him by sending him n**e photos and pressuring him into sexting with him despite knowing his age. Charles responded to the video with a tweet denying the accusation of grooming, stating that the boy had claimed to be 18 years old. In a later interview, Charles said "I've never been more disgusted in my life than when I found out that that kid was 16 years old". In March 2021, other underaged boys accused Charles of sending unsolicited n**e photos and pressuring them into sexting with him. In April 2021, Charles posted a 14-minute-long video titled Holding Myself Accountable, in which he stated that he sent sexually explicit messages to "two different people, both under the age of 18" who has misrepresented themselves as being 18.
In 2019, Tati Westbrook, a fellow makeup artist and frequent collaborator with Charles, uploaded a 43-minute video titled Bye Sister, accusing him of disloyalty and attempting to seduce a heterosexual man with the knowledge of the man's sexuality. YouTuber Jeffree Star and singer Zara Larsson corroborated Westbrook's claims and Charles became the first YouTuber to lose one million subscribers in 24 hours. He uploaded an eight-minute apology video to Westbrook, which became one of the most disliked videos on YouTube before it was deleted. He posted a second 41-minute video titled No More Lies addressing and refuting the comments made by Westbrook, which led to renewed online support for Charles and criticism of Westbrook. Westbrook later removed the original video and, in 2020, posted a follow-up video in which she stated that Star and Shane Dawson manipulated her into making the original video.

What is she actually famous for? She had a couple hit songs in the UK but that's about it. She must have VERY powerful connections as she pops up EVERYWHERE!
She's done quite a few collabs with other artists, not just solo. And in the UK she's had more than just a "couple hit songs" - shes had 4 number 1s, 13 top 10s, 22 top 40s. Spent over 200 weeks in the charts in top 40s. She also has her own beauty product brand. So whilst you might not know what shes famous for, most Brits under the age of 45 do
Load More Replies...Some of these are completely different photos. not saying the "after" photos weren't retouched but you can't put two different pictures side by side as a comparison
It's very easy to avoid noticing any of this nonsense - just don't look. Downvoted because I really, really do not care about any celebrity news.
