I would like to point out that huntsman spiders are also afraid of humans. So if they see you, their day is ruined as well. Some of them are actually way more social than a lot of humans - they live with their family of up to 300 members (maybe don't think too long about that if you see one in your home), they share their food with each other and their bite (if they bite at all, because they really want to stay away from humans) is harmless to humans. Huntsman are found all over the globe. The biggest I've seen was the size of my hand about 6 1/2 inches or 16cm. He scared me because I didn't know it was there but since I was on a horse farm and the flies were murderous I decided we needed all the help we got.

Take large Tupperware bowl. Place over spider. Carefully slide large sheet of stiff paper under edge of bowl. Remove from wall, taking care to keep the bowl covered with the paper. Walk to bottom of garden, tip out spider, and run like your life depends on it.
Midway through taking said paper covered tuppy, discover it can jump and the paper is too floppy to restrict the jumpyness and tears apart.... Now what????

They used to call the idea an Arcology, I wasn't aware anyone had ever really tried one. It probably would've done better to be a hexagon, i.e. fold it up a bit. You'd get a bit tired of having to walk a linear kilometer to get to something at one end, from the other, but a closed shape like a hexagon would let you have a nice courtyard/central area and the same amount of building, plus being able to cut across and general shorter distances.
