They say if you never fail, you never learn. But some mistakes are so silly that you can't help but wonder if the people who made them walked away with anything more than a laugh.

The subreddit r/onejob is the place for these funny mishaps. Fire it up on any given day, and you'll see pictures of a poorly dressed mannequin, unfortunate typos in important texts, and so much more.

We at Bored Panda have already covered the online community here and here, but people keep failing, so we have to keep going. Enjoy.

Or someone was declared dead who isn't and they need a copy of the wrong certificate in order to contest it.

A man was walking home alone one night when he hears a BUMP...BUMP...BUMP... behind him. Walking faster, he looks back, making out an image of an upright coffin banging its way down the middle of the street towards him...BUMP...BUMP...BUMP... The man begins to run towards his home, and the coffin bounces quickly after him, faster...faster ...BUMP ... BUMP ...BUMP. He runs up to his door, fumbles with his keys, opens the door, rushes in, and locks the door behind him. However, the coffin crashes through his door, with the lid of the coffin flapping...BUMP...BUMP...BUMP... on the heels of the terrified man. Rushing upstairs to the bathroom, the man locks himself in. His heart is pounding. With a CRASH, the coffin breaks down the door. Coming slowly towards him, the man screaming, reaches for something, anything... All he can find is a box of cough drops! Desperate, he throws the cough drops at the coffin ... ...and...of...course, ...the coffin stops!

If there’s one thing we hope these pictures will convince you of, it’s that mistakes are an unavoidable part of life. However, accepting this fact can take time. So we reached out to licensed clinical psychologist Dr. Laura Bowles to learn how to embrace it.

Dr. Bowles is a member of the NY Health Hypnosis & Integrative Therapy team. She specializes in treating eating disorders, anxiety, panic disorders, IBS, gut and digestive issues, self-esteem, motivation, and relationship challenges.

"Fear of failure can have many origins," Dr. Bowles told Bored Panda. "People who experienced harsh criticism or rejection from parents, caregivers, or loved ones while growing up can develop a fear of failure. The same goes for those who experienced shame, embarrassment, or bullying after experiencing failure."

Dr. Bowles said that people who struggle with perfectionism can also be frightened of failing. "What can sometimes be underlying this fear is low self-esteem, meaning a lack of confidence or belief in oneself," she explained.

And it's on the rise, especially in younger people. A study conducted between 1989 and 2016 found that levels of perfectionism in college students "increased by statistically significant amounts." Perhaps even more concerning, perfectionism caused by societal pressure increased at twice the rate of self-oriented and other-oriented perfectionism.

The old saying that we learn more from failure than success holds a lot of truth. "It very often has the potential to be a positive experience," Dr. Bowles added.

"Many of our failures, particularly as children, teach us different ways to approach problems and come up with solutions. Being able to safely and healthily work through failure as a child builds resiliency — the ability to withstand and overcome difficulties."

OK, the model choice is egregiously horrible, and I suspect there is some google translate nonsense going on with the description BUT I think I can explain the "for black people" part. It also says skin effect leggings, so I think this product is supposed to to be the type of warm insulated tights that have the illusion of being sheer, so there is an underlayer that is supposed to be vaguely skin toned. There is definitely a better way to convey this. Also another way the model is all wrong. If the tights actually fit and matched the models skin tone we would be able to see how they were supposed to look. But also, do they catch on fire when you sit on the toilet?

However, even Jordan cried when he was cut from his school's basketball team. Granted, he was still a teen, but there's nothing wrong with people who have mixed feelings after their mistakes. On the contrary.

"Failure can be quite painful, and can bring up many different conflicting emotions," Dr. Bowles said. "One of the best approaches to events that cause us pain is to accept our feelings. Allow yourself to sit with and process your feelings after the event without pushing them away."

According to Dr. Bowles, "it can be helpful to try to acknowledge and accept your feelings, while also being aware that they are most likely temporary — you will not feel upset forever!"

"Cultivating a self-compassion practice can also be helpful to recover from failure. Many people find benefits in practicing affirmations, using mindfulness meditation, and taking the perspective of others to help them develop a kinder attitude towards themselves. Psychotherapy can also be a helpful tool in working on self-compassion and processing powerful feelings!" Dr. Bowles said.

AI results are hilarious. I recently Googled 'how many atoms are there in the Universe' and the first result was "AI Overview. The number of atoms in the observable universe is estimated to be between 1078 and 1082. This is a rough estimate based on a number of assumptions and approximations." Well, 1078 and 1082 are *nearly* the same as 10^78 and 10^82, aren't they? 😆

What an odd toilet forget the placement, toilets usually have the drain trap built into them and the drain goes into a floor drain under the porcelain of the toilet, this is just weird it looks like it might not even have the drain trap at all. Also the water source is coming in on a 1 1/2 inch PVC?? I've never seen a toilet like that before.

To me, it's instantly obvious that the controlling issue is the location of the drain. Moving that during the remodel wasn't possible, so this was the best option to fit the toilet into the revised space.

Excellent reminder to always check your measuring devices when/before purchasing. I've bought DeWalt measuring tapes from the hardware store that were off, even from each other. Individual measuring cups like these, not such a big deal; you can generally eyeball if they're close.

I'm not uncivilised for using cups at all. Those are measured with your civilised measurements as long as those cups are the right size which mostly are. :/

These couriers and Royal Mail can be truly dreadful. Currently dealing with RM's CEO as my tracked small item didn't make it through my letterbox despite two other letters arriving that day Apparently the GPS coordinates show delivered according to customer disservice. I'm no expert but somehow I don't think that's how coordinates work.

RM are getting more and more shoddy with their service. For the sake of my experience I'll use different numbers. I live at 1/3 Road Name and my post is often taken to 3/1 Road Name and she tends to keep my letters. We've had the same postman for 3 years and we always talk for a few minutes when he brings my signed-for/parcels/packages so he knows who I am and knows I'm the only person on the planet with my name which is unique and rather long so I don't know why he does it!

I once had a parcel put in our recycling bin, right before we put it out for collection. The packaging was brown cardboard so looked appropriate and my parcel went straight into the recycling lorry, before I knew anything about it.

This kid didn't make a mistake, they clearly used a vial as an I and they just drew the vial with a wider top part like in all the other vials. If they had written "stence" on purpose, the T would probably been quite a bit wider and match with the other letters.

The square of 16 is 16 x 16 which is 256. A number's places are the digit positions named from right to left - ones, tens, hundreds, etc. So the ones place of 256 is 6 - not 8 which is shown as the correct answer here.

The bolt (the part sticking out of the edge of the door) is backwards. The curved part should be facing the other way, so that when you close the door the curved face hits the strike plate, which forces it back into the door so that you don't need to have the handle turned to close the door. The way this one is installed you could open the door just by pulling on it, and would need to turn the handle to close it.

German (don't know about other languages) name for Kebab. /edit, to make it more clear: in Germany, the officiel name is "Döner Kebab", but most people simply call it a Döner.

If this is a kid's toy, they won't care about the stickers, just the cool tricks before they break it. If it's for an adult, then they may need therapy.
