For those who live in cold places (looking at you, Canada) winter can be an ordeal. We all know that it’s coming and we all find our own ways to deal with it, some better than others.

Here at Bored Panda we have compiled a list of hilariously relatable comics that perfectly illustrate the struggles of winter, from the mundane worries of trying to look fashionable while wrapped up in a coat the size of a mattress, to the more serious issues of winter depression and pretty much freezing to death. For our readers in the southern hemisphere we also have the classic summer problems, because we understand that it can be tough at this time of year down there too.

Scroll down to check out the list below, and feel free to add your own winter struggles in the comments!

The sun is really busy during winter time! I'm living in north of France, here it's 10:40 am, I'm at work and the sun didn't show up yet...

Had a friend who's birthday was on December 24th. And then her parents thought it would be great to name her Eva... That's just evil! :(((

To clear it up - here in Sweden we have "namedays" and Eva is the name on Christmas eve...

If I have a kid in December I'll nominate a more advantageous date to hold the celebration. They can just lie to everyone about when their birthday is (obvs not official forms).

Does this remind anyone of Diary of a Wimpy Kid? In book 5, Cabin Fever Greg Heffley (the main character) says that he feels bad for people whose birthdays are right around Christmas because they get cheated out of a gift.

That was me as a child. Now most of my family knows that I'm too picky to buy clothes for, but you know that kid mentality: "What do you mean it's not a toy!?" My grandpa used to give my brother and I cheques specifically to go into our accounts for school (like college/university school), I understand the purpose now but he gave them TO US AS CHILDREN! You give that to the parents! No kid wants a card full of money they can't use!

The house I lived in with my mum and brothers was an older house, didn't have very good insulation and only had heating downstairs, so I grew up like that, always cold in winter, having to wear multiple layers at home. At some point (when I was around 18 and had moved to the attic for more space) we got a heater for in our rooms. I hated having to be sparing with it though. Now I have my own place WITH heating everywhere xD Never been happier about heating lol. I still wear a sweater at home but I'm not gonna wear 10 layers to be comfy so I just turn up the heat :D

Yep. Had that same feeling after the first couple snows. Then there was the time when I accidentally locked myself out of the house having gone to check the mail. I had a sweater on. Had to flee to the public library down the street and call my roommate.

It’s. Expensive to heat your home or apartment. Turn thermostat down at nite for sleeping, if you turn it up to get ready for work, it just gets warm when you leave the house, so you turn it down, as you will be gone all day. Come home to a cold house, turn it up, and 3 hours later it’s time for bed again. Might as well live cold in winter. Cheaper.

Practical > looks though. I always see everyone wearing pretty coats and outfits in winter, which tbh don't really look that warm or that have the ability to add more layers underneath :P And usually anything like those isn't in my size anyway (always handy being tall and having long arms...) so I just got a warm ski-jacket. Totally warm, can wear another sweater underneath and it's great for on my bike. Might not be really fashionable but I'm warm so who cares!

women are more sensible to external temperatures because of the fact that blood is running closer to the surface of the skin, making us more "cold blooded" and depending on weather. WE ASK EQUALITY!!!!
