Nobody eats these because they'll make your mouth burn if not ripe enough and they are very fibrous..... It's famine food.

My ALL time favorite fruit - manggis. The most delicate and delicious fruit in the world. Unfortunately, it's not possible to know by the outside skin if the fruit will be good. The edible white fruit is inside the purple skin, but be careful, if there's yelllowish -greenish on the white bit, it's no good.

This is very regular in south India. I cant tell you the delicious dishes we can cook with this. The tender jackfruit peels (inside part) is used in curries with ground mustard. The ripened jackfruit's yellow part is so sweet and its seeds OMG my favourite. You can even boil the seeds and make delicious side dish or a simple salad with peeled and boiled seeds with salt

i love this especially its smell when it is about to be ripe. if its meat is ripe and yellow, it sweet and juicy. Filipinos also cook this when unripe, usually cooked with coconut milk. its seeds were boiled and can be eaten like chestnuts

I don't know I guess in other countries it isn't as common, I'm from Perú.

A pain to get the fruit out but incredible juicy sweet with the red flavor. Hard to get the seeds out if you don't know how. The downside is if you eat any of the membrane holding the seeds, it's incredibly bitter. Like the rind of a Grapefruit.

In French it is known as salicorn. Very good fresh raw or cooked, or pickled. Grows wild by the sea shore, salty soil.

Pomegranate is a very alien like fruit and we've never eaten it in our lives... (We've eaten it like a billion times already xD) - In Russia we like to squeeze the juice out of the seeds and it's just absolutely delicious!

Carrots used to be a variety of different colors. Orange carrots only came about through selective breeding in the Netherlands to celebrate their independence several centuries ago.

Delicious. I like the flavor much better than the too sweet orange carrot. It's more like parsnips.

Almost all plants eaten now are GMOs that have been created through selective breeding over decades. Selective breeding has been done to plants and animals since humans first domesticated animals and began cultivating crops.

Kepel is a very rare and endangered tree from Central Java, Indonesia. The fruit grows on the lower trunk and has a sweet mango-like taste.
