Many food enthusiasts enjoy stepping outside of their comfort zone and experiencing something new. It's about pushing the boundaries of traditional flavors and textures and discovering tastes that they never would have thought of before. And for some, it's just about having a good laugh and sharing the experience with others.
Regardless of where you end up on this spectrum, I think you're going to find something on 'Wreckless Eating' worth your time. Created by foodie Matt Zion, this internet project — among many other of its forms of content — regularly shares funny, unexpected, and even bizarre dishes (I'm using this word somewhat liberally here).

Intentional atrocities aside, Michelle of the Last Food Blog, who is dedicated to helping everyone make deliciously good healthy meals for themselves and their family without crazy long lists of ingredients, said that there are a number of challenges that await us at the countertop.
"Cooking spices for too long will burn the spices, leaving your dish tasting bitter, they only need a minute to wake up," the woman told Bored Panda about the most common ones. "Overseasoning is another easy way to ruin a dish, always go small and taste your dish before adding more salt or pepper."

I can totally understand the heading, though. I'm always in charge of the vegan mashed potatoes & stuffing for Thanksgiving, mainly because I don't mind. For the potatoes I use Earth Balance "butter" garlic, and vegan Sour Cream "Tofutti", with a bit of vegan broth, all whipped into submission. Same with stuffing, (stuffing mix, obvs) Earth Balance, vegan broth, mushrooms, garlic, onions, celery, craisins, pecans and fresh parsley. My vegan family members fight over them.
To better prepare ourselves, we need to do at least some homework. "I think basic skills are very important, you should be able to chop an onion and crush garlic," Michelle said. "It is also essential to be able to make an omelette or a basic pasta sauce from scratch, they are all so easy to make and will save you money. Cooking rice, pasta, and potatoes are also essential basic skills."
And while she thinks that some rules should be followed, especially when it comes to baking, generally Michelle believes that you should find your own way and learn from your mistakes. "I also believe that you can make any recipe your own and you don't need to follow a recipe to the T," she added.

And people are realizing it. The 2022 Cooking At Home Study shows large shifts in people's mindset and behaviors over the past two years, from more experimentation to better meal planning to online grocery shopping.
68% of respondents said they prioritize healthy meals and quality ingredients, with 60% saying they cook at home five or more times a week. 81% of respondents enjoy cooking more now than prior to the pandemic, 78% use appliances more now and 53% said they want more ways to make meal prep easier (69% of Millenials).
When it comes to grocery pick up or delivery, four in 10 said they used a service during the pandemic. Among those that have, 48% are still using one of these services.

It’s a type of candy bar. It’s normally just peanut butter on the inside and chocolate on the outside. They made a chocolate and peanut butter cereal that tastes similar. Here, they put the pieces of cereal inside the peanut butter middle. Regular peanut butter cups (that’s what they’re called because of the shape) are pretty good if you don’t mind nothing but processed sugar. They stick all kinds of stuff inside but I haven’t tried many of them.

I saw this on supersize Vs superskinny, the supersize lady was into this, except with tons of mayo on top, she called it a "London pizza". Never came across that in my first 21 years of life in London... Mind you could be very local to one area... I used to eat "London cheesecake" which was a bun with coconut strands on top, I think it had jam in the middle? Not a doughnut, as it was flaky. From East London/Essex bakery chain Percy Ingles.

In China (and some other asian countries), there's actually a special peanut sauce to mix with unflavored noodles.

In the Netherlands we eat it to! Sate saus we call it, I make my own, with peanut butter, sugar, sambal,pepper, garlic, vinegar and a little bit of salt, We put it on rice, noodles, meat and use it as a condiment with fries, And when you are having sate saus,mayonaise and onions with your fries we call it a "patatje oorlog" Which literally means warfries in english

Maybe it’s for an animal? Maybe it’s for some one who loves beans? Maybe it’s for a diabetic? I’m sure there are better options for diabetics but I remember going to my former neighbor’s son’s birthday party and he was diabetic. They had a piñata but no candy. It had tiny cheese bars and I think a certain kind of fruit snacks, and maybe raisins and like littles bags of goldfish crackers? I can’t remember exactly but it was all stuff he could eat and that he liked. They had a regular cake for guests but he couldn’t eat it. He had a tiny special cake that had no frosting and I’m sure didn’t have sugar in the cake part either.

In Finland, they eat reindeer meat on pizza, and I was so happy without that knowledge :( (Not insulting their culture, please don't downvote me; just can't get my head around the idea but obviously it makes sense in Finnish culture.)

In Germany we loved Hawaiian Toast. A slice of toast, slightly buttered, a slice of ham and a slice of pineapple, then covered with cheese and grilled till the cheese melts. Those O knew looked better than this though. But of course my mom would use real cheese
