Took A Picture Of This Beautiful Turtle While Diving In Maldives
What might have started as a wish to explore and capture unseen moments of the underwater world now seems to reach another level where often people use deep waters as an uncommon background for their own portraits, wedding, or other celebratory pictures. Even if you’re not a person who doesn’t know a thing or two about photography, it’s safe to assume that it requires not only good picture-taking skills but also the right equipment. For those who are very fascinated by underwater photography and don’t know where to start, there are dedicated sites such as Underwater Photography Guide that explain how and where to begin for those who never have done this and provide those who are acing this hobby with useful tips and tricks.
Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle And His Butterfly Fish Friends
Weightless
These divers always looks so elegant. I always imagine they are clumsy af on the surface though, like a p!ssed up giraffe.
Clumsy in the water too. All we see is a single captured moment, of most likely hundreds of photos taken in rapid succession.

Whale Sharks are Incredible Creatures, l swam with one many years ago. And yet it Still stuns me the idiocy of people when they describe supposedly almost being swallowed by one or thinking they will attack or even having Any clue whatsoever about this Incredible Creature if they are ever fortunate enough to be in the right place and time...yeah...um..no. Now you understand why l call some humans idiots Lol
But what are some of the more common yet very important rules that people who are interested in this should follow? According to the previously mentioned Underwater Photography Guide, it’s important to “get your diving skills down before you start using a camera underwater.” This is also closely related to overall security while being underwater. No matter how comfortable one might seem in the water, there is always a chance of something sudden happening, so watching your surroundings and making sure you’re not damaging the nature underneath or stressing out its wildlife is of great importance.

Makes me wonder if you can experience fear of heights while under water.
I'm googling to learn more about this cool location and what an amazing "underwater Ansel Adams" image 😍😍😍
Those who are skilled in this type of photography also suggest first practicing on the ground and learning how to compose a “correct” shot. Underwater photography also challenges photographers to study their equipment and to know what are the right settings to get the best results. What is crucial in this case is that all of the settings have to be prepared before taking that dive into this “workspace.”

Load More Replies...Now, i'm not a zoologist but i don't think that is on its natural habitat, on the plus side that apears to be a Swedish road tank, só if you shift it in reverse it will probably just roll back to the road again and you can drive to where ever you're going on the first place.....
That's what I wanna know -- because unless that thing's engine compartment is watertight, wouldn't the electrical system short out and not provide power to the lights? Are Volvos really that different from other cars?

When Swimming With Galapagos And Sandbar Sharks, I Stuck Part Of My Camera Halfway In And Halfway Out Of The Water. One Of The Sharks Shot Up Towards Me Because It Thought My Camera Was Food
I am wondering if it is a camera with the plastic dome over the lens...and the plastic dome is just barely touching the water
Load More Replies...BP, contributors, writer, THANK YOU! These images are SO spectacular 😍+ knowing they aren't the result of just "walking out the front door": there is great time, effort and expense involved, where sharks are concerned, there's higher risk. . .for all those reasons, truly appreciate them! they should all be in museums, they're that spectacular!

A Pod Of Bottlenose Dolphins
A lot of those will be from swimming through coral, rubbing on the sand, and just general playing around. Dolphins are creatures of fun and mayhem, so many of those scars are probably good memories!
Load More Replies...On a trip to Catalina Island off the Southern California coast, luckily on a friend's boat, we were suddenly surrounded by about 50 dolphins who swam beside us for about a mile. I hung over the side of the boat to try and "pet" one, and he rolled on his side, looked me right in the eye, and spit water on me. I think we both laughed! No aggression; he was just having fun.
This is the 1 thing l yearn to do. Swim with the Giant Manta Rays. I do not believe them to be dangerous and as with Any animal if you approach where they can see you with plenty of notice and give them an out if they want it, it should not be a problem. I'm 61yrs old & been around All kinds of animals both in the ocean and on land and was only bitten by 3 animals otherwise l trust when l read their body language. Sorry this moved places by itself..lol

Only on the outside. Delicious on the inside. It is an invasive and very destructive species in the US Atlantic and Caribbean but the best way to keep them in check that they have found so far is by organizing sport divers to hunt them.

"underneath the water" If only there was a word for something that's occurring under the surface of a body of water...
For some reason it seems like cheating to just take a picture of a person who would be considered attractive by most standards in a slightly different situation and then call it a great photo. I like the sea life, because I appreciate that even somewhat common animals are hard to photograph, but the pictures of people don't do it for me.
The intricacies of posing a human being at depth without their air source, (or even any residual bubbles that I can see in these photos) or even a disturbance is the sand is beyond the capabilities of the average human. I imagine the subjects must be free divers, to have that kind of breath control, but some of them don't even have fins!
