Colleagues-Being-Useless-Red-Flags
Constantly calling out and never picking up extra jobs, half assing their job, refusing to communicate properly to avoid fault (it doesn't work that way), complaining about clients as soon as they leave or while they're STILL RIGHT THERE.

I once watched a graphic designer measuring her screen with a ruler. She did not even have the zoom set to 100%. Edit: she was not using Photoshop, it was Illustrator. She just did not know that there is a window that tells an object's size when selected, and she was measuring a single object. She yelled at me when I showed her.

Line cook here. Its pretty obvious the second someone picks up a knife. Or anyone who brags about going to culinary school alot is generally a bad cook. :edit if you cut yourself just bandage it up and put a glove on and get to it. Unless you're missing a finger, that's different, lol.

I’m always suspicious of other filmmakers who don’t watch movies. Hope that doesn’t sound pretentious, I understand people are busy and don’t always have free time to go to the movie theater for 2 hours and pay 10.99 for a ticket, but being educated about current trends in the industry seems like an obvious part of the job.

I am a lab tech. When I get someone fresh out of school to train, their intelligence isn't a factor in my overall judgement. It's their work ethic. Are they willing to work past the frustration and tedium of a complicated situation? I'll take persistence over genius any day of the week.

When you're training somebody and come across something new to them. If you explain the law/procedure and they say, "yeah I know that". Then why the hell did you do it that way if you knew? It's ok if you didn't know because I hadn't taught you that yet. Because now I can't trust them to be honest about their capabilities. So I have to check everything that person does because I can't be sure if they actually understand it.

People-Take-Revenge-On-Bully
I had a few bullies who were physically abusive. One of them decided it would be funny to try and beat me up while his brother played lookout (also known as gang up on me if I started to get the upperhand). Unfortunately for him, my older brother saw what was happening and pulled everyone apart and let me and the bully just fight one on one. I smashed his face into a metal fence. He was far less willing to pick on me when he realised I wasn't afraid of actually hurting him.Show All 9 Upvotes

She gave me my order at Dairy Queen. She asked how I was doing and I told her: Getting a mortgage, engaged, about to graduate with a BS... Asked her how she was doing. "Well... I'm here, so..." It was deliciously awkward.

I was in 4th grade and had been bullied by a kid named Rocky, swear to God that was his name lol, who was in 6th grade. Any way he would trip me, knock books out of my hands, punch me etc.... One day out on the playground he pushed me into the merry go round while it was spinning, I was rolled around inside it while people were trying to stop it. The whole time he's laughing at me. I get pulled out and I'm scraped up pretty good, get taken to the office to get patched up. Teachers ask what happened, I told them I fell. Went back outside and saw him standing there with his buddies, I ran as fast as I could toward him and punched him as hard as I could in the face, broke his nose and just stood there looking at him ready to fight. His buddies told him to leave me alone and I never got picked on again at school.

I learned how to fight, then beat the hell out of him. He left me alone from then on. Got in trouble with the school, but when they called my dad to tell him I was fighting, he said "Yeah, I bet. I paid for the lessons. Was it that little s**t who's been bullying him?" I did not get in trouble at home.

Not me but my brother, and not deep sea, sorry. He was 18, part of the dive club at his school. They went on a diving trip. The crew that handled the dive counted heads wrong and halfway through the dive the boat went back to shore without them...So there they were 2km from shore with their only option to swim back. There were about 5 of them, 2 girls 3 guys. All of them between 15-18 y/o. About halfway through one of the girls couldn’t swim anymore and started crying, my brother along with another guy swam with her, dragging her along, making sure she didn’t drown. Everyone made it out ok. Worst part, school tried to hide it, and had the audacity to suspend my brother from school for catching him with a beer while on the trip. Needless to say they were in deep s**t when it came out. Not sure exactly what happened though.

My biology teacher told us that she once was swimming in the south of the Philippines because she was trying to find an elusive sea horse and she went quite deep at night when they are more active and she got attacked by a shark and her team got out fast , the next day they found a turtle that was bitten in half shell included that was pretty big and its its supposedly the last time she went diving in that area

I wear heavy prescription lenses and can’t wear contact lenses. Halfway through a week long liveaboard dive trip, someone dropped a tank on my prescription mask and shattered it. I usually had a second set with me, but could not find them and only brought one, because hey, nothing had ever happened before. I am functionally blind without corrective lenses; I can see colors and that’s about it, starting about five inches from my face. I was devastated, but decided to go diving anyway, with my husband as my seeing-eye diver. I could see my gauges, so I felt reasonably safe. It was among the most amazing three days of diving I’ve ever had. I saw the colors, shapes, and movement. Without being focused on the details, I actually took many of the best underwater photos I’d ever taken. I wasn’t worried about focusing on a particular coral or fish; I was looking at the larger color patterns. So it didn’t turn out to be the disaster I’d thought it was. This Panda hasn't followed anyone yet
